I browsed around for about a minute looking for the paint and a sales associate. There was no one in site to assist me with locating and purchasing the paint. Keep in mind this store isn't big! As I walked further into the store we see a man sitting behind a glass just staring at us. He doesn't ask can I help you or are you looking for anything in particular let alone a simple greeting. I'm not sure about anyone else but if I have to help myself at any business especially when I need assistance that's clearly a business I rather not give my money too. Lowe's is a huge store and it's easier to get assistance there then it was at this small establishment.

I came in here to get a flange for my toilet and got an education in preventive maintenance along with suggestions on how to finish my repair without spending a ton of money. The gentleman not only spent the time to educate me but he also went and found me the specific parts I needed. You cannot get this type of service and care anywhere else. I've never had someone spend that much time with me at Lowe's or Home Depot. It does cost a little more but I ended up saving a great deal more because I wasn't using the right part for the job. This is where you go to talk to people who know their stuff. I am sick of hardware stores full of teenagers who don't know a hammer from a wrench from their own... well you know where I'm going with this. These people are eager to help. I'm a big guy & I always feel like I'm going to knock something over. But they have a great selection considering the square footage & it is well organized. The screws are next to the nails, the drill bits are next to the drills, etc. Good store. read more

This store is my salvation, my problem solver, my trouble fixing. Honestly they have everything you need, like lights for outside, mice traps, cement, plumbing, I mean everything, and they always find solution to all my needs. The guys are always helpful, and always recommend the best product. If you want general household supplies (light bulbs, etc.), they'll have it. If you need to get your bike repaired, they can do that. If need keys cuts, they've got you. All in all they're great for all purpose hardware needs. Prices are reasonable across the board. Selection of basic items (screws, brushes, etc.) is better actually than a lot of other stores for practical purposes, and they can accurately advise you on actually performing basic tasks unlike most places. I highly recommend them over the place up the block. Don't let the rough exterior give you pause; these guys will treat you right.

Interestingly enough, at the cash register, there is a sign that states, "Refund policy provided within 2 days receipt." It is mandatory for stores to visibly display their return policy at the cash register. 'The Bad Wife' failed to do so. Mrs. Lee's attitude was rude and dismissive despite being told return policies must be clearly visible by the cash register.
