Just lost my appetite! This was my second time ordering from the truck. First time I got a burger and tacos (I was starving ok!) and it was a great meal so added a star. This time I ordered 2 tacos and a quesadilla. Tacos were great! But then I took a bite of the quesadilla and it had an awful burned taste. It was strange since the tortillas looked fine. I decided to eat the fries instead. As I was getting to the bottom fries, I saw a black lump. I took it out to examine it and I see legs!! Looks like a big fly to me! I threw out the whole container! Super gross! This will haunt me for awhile so I will not go back there....

I have never been so addicted to a business as I am to Leo's. Parked right in the middle of the Santa Ana Civic Center on Parton and Santa Ana Boulevard, I have only good things to say about Leo's on Wheels. The tacos are so delicious and the orders are always correct. Be sure to try their green sauce to add to the tacos. They also serve salads and burgers, but the tacos are just great. My favorites are the carne asada, shredded beef and potato tacos. If I order a salad, I get the chicken mango. Others have shared through the years that the burgers and breakfast burritos are really good. Leo's is open until about 3 pm and is very popular so I'm going to start calling ahead to place my order. So many civic center employees love the food. This is also a place frequented sometimes by jurors serving at the Federal or Superior Court, definitely well within walking distance to both courthouses. There's no seating outside of Leo's, but you can eat in the beautifully renovated Japanese tea house which is located behind Santa Ana City Hall, right between the city library and city hall. The tea house and garden are near the civic center fountain also known as the Plaza of the Sun. The tea house was donated to the County by a local Japanese organization after World War II. I always try and give this place a try. Maybe I just come on the wrong day when the other cook is working? I spent close to $13 for overcooked chicken tenders and undercooked fries with no seasoning. Super friendly! I forgot to mention i cant have tomatoes guy offered to take the tomatoes or redo the plate, i said it was fine no need but his concern was what mattered, the shrimp bowl, i tell you really delicious. Def one of the best shrimp bowls read more

Wednesdays is soup day and thy are very good. Super tasty. Mon-Fri their shrimp and fish tacos are a must have. The ambience is busy, but welcoming and the service is top notch. read more

Nice location nearby the courthouse. However the prices do not match the food quality. The fries had a weird seasoning on them, the menu showed egg prices making them much more expensive, and the size of food is quite small. I saw somewhere on twitter that there has been a crazy upward trend in food trucks increasing the prices over the years insanely. This truck is clear evidence of it. I am not sure on any type of quality trend since this is my first time trying Leo's and will most definitely be my last. Best of luck to y'all. read more

If you're looking for a classic breakfast that hits the spot and need it "to go" this is the place! I usually order a chorizo breakfast burritos and I enjoy how it comes with crema on the side. I also order the breakfast sandwich when I'm not looking for a big meal but want to satisfy the craving. Really good choices and I love the classic two pancake combo with eggs, sausage, and hash browns as well. Haven't tried their lunch yet so can't speak on those. If you're looking to skip the sit down part and take it to work or about to head out on a trip and want breakfast I'd pick up here read more

I ordered the Loaded Fries & Chicken Quesadilla, I really enjoyed the Loaded Fries because it had a Sunny side sizzling on top of my fries. That invention was hella delicious. I would definitely come back & ask for extra eggs on those fries. The service was very friendly quick. I was able to make it back on time for my next class. Thank you. read more

Its a decent spot to go when you are on your lunch break. They are super speedy, I have never had to wait long for my food once I order. On Tuesday they draw a good crowd for having such a good Taco Tuesday special. I have tried there burgers, tortas, tacos, quesadilla and burritos. The burger was super soggy to me - i think they put to much sauce on it. The Al Pastor can get greasy so keep that in mind when getting the quesadilla with it. I love the torta! It is fully loaded and the bread is so good! Sometime it does come alittle soggy on the end but it is massive so you probably wont finish it anyways. read more

I've tried most of their breakfast and everything is good but the chilaquiles are BOMB. They're crispy and loaded. The tortas are really good as well, as are the quesadillas and those are big. The signature O Burger is really good with lots of flavor just messy to eat. The fajita chicken sandwich is really good too. Taco Tuesday is $6 for 4 tacos and a drink and I highly recommend the crispy chicken tacos! It's a few mins walking distance from my job so it's my go-to. The lady taking orders is super nice and the cook Andres and Mr. Leo himself are friendly too. read more

I decided to give this food truck a try. So far I had street tacos which were pretty good, the breakfast burrito, also good, and quesadilla which weirdly came with fries was mediocre. The fries were bla. The breakfast burrito is not as big as other places but it was good and I would order it again. Street tacos are street tacos, nothing special but I would order again. The quesadilla, I would definitely NOT order again. Ingredients quality is averageI would say. The prices are not a deal and I think they could do a little better. Unnoticed they changed their fries to the crinkle style - not a good move. read more

DONT WASTE your money , time or appetite!! The worst Birria wanabe tacos you will ever eat ! TOTAL embarrassment to Santa Ana or any taco place. The entire menu is bland and not worth eating. I WILL NEVER EAT at that place again. I am literally sick to my stomach. They are also overpriced for such horrible food. The ONLY good thing is the convenience for most who eat there. Love Leo's food truck and their other location inside the Federal building. The people who work there are friendly and professional, and their menu is great and has something for everyone. Favorites? For what it was worth, this truck was quick, cheap, and had decent food. You can pay less than $10 per person for a meal, I got 3 items and was in and out pretty quickly. I got the Chicken nachos that had kinda an unbalanced ratio of nacho chips to toppings so I was stuck with dry tortilla chips after eating all the toppings with the first like 10 chips :(. I also got a chicken quesadilla which was PHENOMENAL- truly the one thing I could come back for, came with a side of french fries that were too dry and unsalted for my taste. Girlfriend got a chicken bowl (can you tell our fave protein yet??) which had chicken, rice, broccoli, and some other stuff which seemed a little too dry as well. Overall though for a food truck, the quick service, and the price, it was worth coming back and trying the other foods with some munchies or a couple beers. read more

They have great food. I totally recommend the salmon bowl and tacos... also the shrimp bowl and tacos. Such a reasonable price too. They always know me cause of how I customize all my meals. People will literally think I'm preggers cause of the way I combine foods.. Everyone at this truck is awesome and always so accommodating to me.I love how they are able to customize my order to how I want it. The burgers are good , I tried a breakfast burrito this morning and it was just average & plain. There was more hashbrown & cheese than the meat. Wouldn't get that again. Besides that I would expect the rest of the menu to be good like the burgers. read more

We had Leo's out for our Family Fun Science Night...& they were a big hit!! Love that we could offer our community burgers & fries..& great Mexican food as well!! Nothing but praises from our families..& I could eat their seasoned fries all night long. I may or may not have done thaGreat music playing & had the sports channel on for line waits... very smart Leonot to mention... they are donating a %back to our PTA... we'll def. be working with them again... thanks Leo & Co.!! UPDATE: we had Leo's on Wheels out again for our last big school event...as usual, Leo & Co. did not disappoint! The service is always great..& the food- absolutely delicious. This day & age, so many food trucks are putting stipulations on whether or not a school function is " worthy" of their presence. I get it- it's their business- but build some good community karma for that business & we'll follow you. When you run a non profit.. & it's made up of all families.. it's hard to get a guarantee of how many people will attend. The first time I came to Leo's I was a bit skeptical especially since there are so many taco food truck nowadays. But I have to say when I tried Leo's I realized that they do it right. Plain and simple, their burritos are pretty darn good (definitely recommend the al pastor burrito or the California burrito). The food was fresh and authentic, and they were also super nice. Definitely recommend giving this place a try. It's also very close proximity to the Santa Ana Court House so if you have Jury Duty, it's not a bad place to walk to and grab a filling lunch! Only thing that I wish they had, is a bit more variety and flavor in the salsas, not saying they are bad by any means, just would like some salsa that had a bit more zing or something. Also, they don't have a salsa bar, but are typically generous with how much salsa they give you, which is always a plus! read more

They can get pretty crowded on taco tuesdays, but for the most part they are pretty quick. They also take phone orders, so definite plus as you can call in your order as you walk to pick up your food. Pretty extensive menu for a taco truck, and their carne asada tacos are pretty bombskis. read more

I had a great veggie burrito at Leo's food truck today. Leo parks across from the civic center plaza every day. This truck serves delicious food with a smile. If you are in the Civic center area and want to dash out for a bite, Leo's is your best bet for tasty food fast. Highly recommend. read more

I love Leo's on Wheels!!! You can normally find street parking around the truck, and they have great customer service. Their menu is broad and I haven't been disappointed by anything I've ordered. I usually order the street tacos and tortilla chips (which are freshly fried and served hot). I also like their salsas and avocado sauce. I've gotten the breakfast burritos as well and they are pretty filling and worth the price (in my opinion). read more

My coworker had been bugging me to try this place forever, and now I'm hooked! Both the breakfast and lunch are delicious and fairly priced. Great food, and great service! I love this spot. During the week they can be found across the street from the State and Federal buildings. This is my go to spot for lunch when I forget my lunch, shoot even when I dont. Anyway, I've tried most things on the menu and I like them all. My faves are the tacos, tortas, burritos, loaded fries and chilaquiles. There's plenty of indoor seating and some outdoor seating as well. Food came relatively quickly as well for all of us, and drinks came out right away. Wait was maybe 5-10 minutes but all the food was freshly made! FOOD: They don't have too big of a menu, but that's not bad. I tried the carne asada, el pastor, and the mushroom tacos + queso tacos. The tacos were a lot bigger than larger tacos, coming at roughly $4 per taco. I would recommend the queso tacos because i LOVE cheese but the regular tacos are good. The quesadillas were very filling and there was a lot to them as well if you want something that'll fill you up more than a taco. SERVICE: Service was good. Everyone who helped us was very nice. PARKING: There is street parking and parking lots around the area for you to walk in--all of which are paid parking. You can use an app for the lots or use coins for the street parking. I've gone here during the day and night and I haven't had any issues with parking at all. INTERIOR: The interior is very simple: warm tones with benches. If you have a big party, you most likely will have to split up between multiple tables. For us, a party of 10, we divided it between 4 and 6, though the 6 was a tight fit. BATHROOM: Clean. Nothing crazy when I went there. I'm pretty sure you can use the bathroom too even if you don't buy anything. LOCATION: This place is in downtown Santa Ana, so there are a lot of shops for you to look around, eat at, or shop at if you go during the day. Very fun to eat tacos here and then go on a walk afterwards :)) TLDR: A very good taco spot to go eat if you want good tacos. They're open till 10pm weekdays and midnight on weekends as well. Decent variety that's fresh and very flavorful

Some of the best food truck food you can get. Food is ready fairly quick and the quality is up there at a very cheap price. They serve mostly Mexican food in addition to seafood such as shrimp, salmon bowls, & tacos and American such as burgers including specialties like Leo's Deluxe. Plenty of drinks to choose from included canned soda, bottled and fresh waters including Horchata. In the mornings, they even offer fully blown breakfast plates (eggs, hashbrown, bacon, sausage, & toast). You'd be hard pressed to find actual restaurants with the same convenience and quality at this price. They're located on N. Parton Street by Santa Ana Blvd. right across from all the government buildings such as the Civic Center Courthouse. read more

I will start by saying I am an extremely picky eater. I am of Mexican decent yet ironically Mexican food is not my favorite. Leo's On Wheels however is as good as it comes to Mexican food. The street tacos as authentic as they get. The onions the reddish the salsa that comes with them totally complement the tacos. The burritos and tortas are filled with flavor and can fill up the biggest appetite. I have eaten other dishes and the flavor roll right out of the lunch truck. You must give them a try. I went to check on the federal buildings cafe which used to be knowlwoods, and now its leo's cafe and there is truck too called leo's on wheels. I decided to try it and I was very impressed with the quality of their food service with such a wide selection of food. i tried their breakfast foods and was blown away. Everything from their asada, pollo, shrimp, and salmon tacos to their quesadillas, burgers, loaded fries, eggs, and hash browns are great! Prices are very affordable and the staff is kind.
