Best friggin burrito and quesatacos I've ever had (which is saying a lot since I'm from Guadalajara, home of burritos) Super recommend!

It's really hard for me to find a Mexican food place that I really love, but I can say that this is one of my favorite taco places (if not my favorite). I've been coming here consistently since September of 2025. The birria tacos have the perfect amount of meat and they are SO JUICY and the meat is clean (I don't like my meat to be too fatty) I also like to get their watermelon water and their churros because they don't over fry them to where they are hard to bite. The location itself could be better because it's literally on the side of a gas station and sometimes I have to go around the occasional sketchy person BUT if you're willing to overlook that (and not go alone) it's really a hidden gem. The service is always fast and the inside of the establishment is always clean and well kept and they even decorate for the holidays! everything was really good. specifically the boris quesadilla was delicious, and i loved the steak quesataco. my only comment was that the regular sized quesadilla felt very small, pretty much just like 2 tacos. my cousin, who is from out of state, said the ONE thing she was craving was papi's tacos solely from the last time she was in socal and had it. she literally said she dreams about it lol so we had to go- i'm sure that shows how good it is. read more

Our 2nd time here and we've enjoyed both visits. My nephew is a mulita fan so we look for places that over this. They have them along with tacos, quesotacos, quesadillas and you can pick the meats you want along with birria. Prices are reasonable. I do like their aqua frescas as well but those cost more then the food. :P It's been good and it's right next door to a bbq. Feels authentic to us. SYOY! read more

Quite a good experience. Came to fix my car nearby and was super hungry. All the restaurants nearby didn't look appetizing at all not even remotely so I decided to try some Papi Tacos. Consome was served hot in a cup of - consome is basically a soup with some onions. It is mostly liquid with nothing in it so don't expect to get full with it. Quesadilla was the best part of the menu for me - plenty of meet, cheese and juice. A taco was quite small that in the beginning I thought that that wouldn't be enough for me to get full. Service was quite good - I was asked whether i need the food here or to go. And then they even asked my name. Small details but they matter. Place is clean and located at the gas station. This is a standalone spot that's connected to a gas station. I had to take my car in for service nearby and thought getting some tacos would be a good idea, because tacos are always a good idea. I saw on the map that papi tacos was close and I remembered in the past that I came up with the name Papi Churro for a Churro spot. I think they should call it Papi Churros just to make it more catchy. Anyways, the burrito here was pretty good. It was fried and I've never had anything like that. It comes with a pretty large cup of consome which is like the juice and drippings from the beef. You have to eat with a fork. Quick service and the food was legit. Not much of a vibe here. I've had my eyes in this place for a while. But each time I wanna go they are closed. Meaning I wanna go late at night. If I'm being honest this would hit late at night. Anyways to the review. Must I say I went inside and it felt quite open. You can see them cooking which is always a plus. You can see their kitchen was nice and clean! Had some plenty of seating with high tables, regular tables and even benches!!! The menu was nice and simple and didn't feel overwhelmed. The cashier was nice and I asked if I can sample the agua de Sandia and I will say I loved it. It wasn't too sweet and seemed pretty fresh!!! I ordered the OG plate which had plenty of items. Papi Tacos & Churros in Santa Ana absolutely hit the spot. I got the carne asada burrito 10/10, packed with flavor, juicy meat, and wrapped up in a perfectly warm tortilla. The pineapple agua fresca was also a 10/10 super refreshing, just the right balance of sweet and tangy. And then there was the birria quesadilla with consome... yup you guessed it also a 10/10. Rich, cheesy, crispy on the outside, and absolutely loaded inside. The portions here are huge and the prices are great. I usually have a pretty big appetite, but this meal put me in a full on food coma, I literally went home and took a nap right after. To top it off, I shared the quesadilla with my brother! Didn't even have room for one of their famous churros (next time for sure). Service is quick and very friendly, which makes the experience even better. Paid $2.75 each for a beef birria and polo asado. Tacos were so good, probably some of the best tacos I've ever had. The wait was a little long, but it was worth it. Came to Gee's barbecue for lunch, after eating i stopped in Papi's for a couple of churros and drinks for me and my girlfriend. The churros were very good, crispy on the outside and soft, light, and slightly chewy on the inside, topped with plenty of cinnamon and sugar. Canned RC cola is a blast from the past. You don't see RC cola very often nowadays. Order and pay at the counter and you will be called when it's ready. Don't be scared off by the location being behind a gas station. Want food poisoning and bad service where the cashier hangs up on you? Come here. Their male cashier working on Tuesday at 4PM hung up on me was extremely rude and saying he did not want to get involved and to call later when I mentioned how I got food poisoning from their carne asada quesadilla (their meat was hard and inedible). I called back to find out the manager name but no response. This place is halal food which is dope. The tacos taste pretty decent. The tortillas is crispy and crunchy. The meat is tasty and different. It was overall good. HOWEVER, it was pretty oily the food. We got carna asada, birria and quesatacos. 8 of them to be exact. All of them were pretty oily. In fact you can taste the oils pretty hard. It's funny when I was cleaning my hands the oils weren't coming off easy lol Also not a big deal however the bathroom has a sign "if it doesn't open then it's occupied" so I waited 10 minutes for it but it seems like there's a code you need to enter. So it's counterintuitive maybe remove that sign or make it a little more straight forward. read more

The place is overall clean even though the tables are a bit sticky. But the quesabirria tacos are yummy!! I loved how the tortilla wasn't too soggy. The broth was flavorful and wasn't too oily or made you feel ugh after. The taco is on the smaller side, so def rec ordering more than usual. But the prices are good about $2.5 for a quesa.
