Was up visiting family and we decided to try something new on pizza night. There were 20 of us so we ordered five various large pies, which was the perfect amount. My personal favorite the chicken haven Alfredo deep dish pizza was delicious. I had to try the pizza a second time because I thought my first experience must have been a fluke, but nope - just terrible pizza. First time I ordered a mushroom pizza... what I got was something made with canned (and slimy) mushrooms on a cracker-like crust. The second pizza was one of their "signature" pan pizzas that most closely resembled those pizzas served by lunch ladies to unknowing middle-schoolers. FWIW I also ordered a fettuccine Alfredo that was equally sub-par and lacking real cheesiness. This place gets a thoroughly vetted and well deserved one star review. Hotel stay,.ordered Leo's delivery. No utensils or napkins. Once I got utensils from hotel we set in on the chef salad with sweet Italian. Damn good salad! Had a beef, bacon, mushroom thin pizza. Very generous with the toppings and cheese but the pizza was anemic looking, might be from older dough or not enough sugar. Not thin like I expected. The sauce was flavorless and sparse. The pizza just didn't have much flavor. The beef was just that, no seasoning. I've heard and read good things about this place so I would definitely give it another try when traveling through. For some reason the pizza is WAY better when you eat in. Service is always great. It's crowded because the food is GOOD. This is not your typical Chicago style pizza it is legit run by Sicilians. This is my favorite place ever. read more

Great pizza! Expensive for the area, but well worth the food and service.

I found Leos to be a very nice and friendly place to eat. I was there recently after a long day of work and found it to be a place to go to enjoy good company and great food. All the food was fresh and cooked perfect. The kitchen area looked clean and well kept and the restrooms were clean. The owner was friendly and very helpful. the hostess was friendly and even got us refills and helped us with the menu. I would recommend Leos to everyone. read more

This place is delicious. I eat here twice a month. The only thing that they're lacking is online ordering.

My wife used to talk about how Leo's pizza was incredible. It was right down the road from her college, and she used to go there with her friends to wind down from classes. We drove up there from St. Louis, and it was everything she said and more. The Sicilian stuffed crust pizza is simply amazing. It has to be one of the best pizzas that I've ever had, and I've been to a lot of pizza joints over the years. We used to make regular road trips there until we moved to Michigan. Everyone is nice and treat you good. The food is very good. Everytime we are Jacksonville and want pizza this is the place we go.

Well unlike previous poster, I find prices extremely reasonable. If you are trying to compare this pizza to fake chain pizza, Leo's wins hands down on taste and quality. The price is so close in completion that it's not worth a complaint. Further investigation of all the post shows that negative feed back is in the minority. So using all information it seems that this eatery deserves positives. If your reading this I would ask you to please ignore negatives. Most times you will find that the people who leave negatives are negative people. If you were to rate the on being an asset to their community you would find only one positive about them. You would be able to say I positively know I do not want to be them. Oh by the way if you would like one last smile one of the negatives was that it was 15 min more time than stated to get food. If this took so much of their Busy time how do they have time to trash talk a business. Please think next time you trash a business on how shallow you will look when the majority of post are good. Maybe you had a bad experience but maybe there were things you could have done to change this. I personally would not want judged by the public knowing their words could destroy me, would you? We love the staff and atmosphere, the owner/ head manager puts the final touch by asking customers how their meal is, the sauce is a bit plain BUT that's the only thing holding me back from 5 stars, love Leo's and we'll always be back for more! read more

Best thin crust pizza we've had!! I usually don't like pizza with everything on them but they were great!

I go to Leo's every time I'm in Jacksonville. Their pizza is the real Italian deal, not the typical cheese-on-cardboard stuff you find in small towns. It's every bit as good as what you'll find in Chicago, maybe better in some cases. Jacksonville's lucky to have this place. read more

My friends and I are college students, and we have never had a problem in the past with Leo's. Tonight was different. We greatly appreciate the $8 Pizza that they offer for college kids, but wish they would be more straight forward about their rules. Also, they need to tell people if they change the type of pizza they are selling, as we tried to order said $8 Pizza and did how we have done the past couple years which was ask for a couple extra toppings which should have came out to $0.75 each. We asked the man on the phone if that was fine and he said yes, but when we got our order and looked at the receipt it was $20. Again, we are college kids! If you know anything about college kids, it's that they don't have a ton of money. They were then extremely rude to us in the phone -we understand it's extremely late at night but you do not need to yell at us over the phone without giving us a chance to talk. That is inconsiderate, and frankly I will do my best to never eat here again. I would rather take my business to the other restaurants in town, and will strongly recommend that all my friends do the same. read more
