(Have used this company before but usual driver has left we informed by abacus that other drivers are available who drive the wheelchair taxis). Phoned on the day to ensure it was still booked all confirmed by the operative that the wheelchair taxi with driver would be present between 9.15 and 9.30pm. 9.30 pm came no taxi arrived Phoned abacus to find out where it was, told yes it was booked but it wouldn't be coming unless the wheelchair can be put in the boot, stated a wheelchair taxi was booked as the wheelchair needed to be wheeled into it! No taxi arrived and told despite it being booked and confirmedto be booked no taxi was available!!! Ended up walking a vulnerable person 2 miles home in the wind and cold at 10pm! Absolutely horrendous and uncaring attitude appalled! Avoid this taxi company can not be relied on to turn up especially if disabled - very discrimatory!

The best, biggest boats providing a comfortable relaxed 1hr ride across the infamous channel…read more Yes it's maybe 10-20% more expensive than the standard [if booked in advanced enough] P&O 30quid. but totally worth it, your health and day after is more worth than the savings. The channel is verry scarry when on a shaky boat, been there, done that. It will leave u with a splitting headache [and try getting anything other than pastries or steak for breakfast in Calais, France].
Holy shit. These…read moreboats are like walking into a giant warehouse that floats on the water, and they were running a £30 one-way deal this summer, which made it the most cost-effective way to get to France. The staff were friendly, and the food on the boat was really good (et le chef de cuisine etait très poli). The ride was smooth and they made going through customs pretty easy in both directions. All-in-all, it was a pretty good experience. I was pretty impressed by the professionalism. My only qualm is that for most of the boat rides, portions of the boat were closed off. On both of my journeys, the actual sit-down restaurant was closed. In all, it's a comfortable way to cross the English channel. Get upstairs early if you're on a late boat or else you won't find a seat to lay down in.

I get told that would cost me £25, implying I would get a discount because its normally £30. I was disgusted and offended that a simple car ride would result in profit mongering. Dont use this cab company, they are totally awful :(
After little sleep in an expensive hotel due to a fire alarm, I travelled out of town to relax…read morebefore my long flight back from UK to Australia. Of course, this meant I didn't have any accommodation set up in advance. But the lovely Albanian taxi driver who met me at Canterbury West station rang some hotels while driving me to others to find a suitable room during Freshers Week (who from Australia knows what that is?) with most places fully booked. I really needed two nights in the one spot so I wouldn't have to drag myself out of bed by someone else's timetable. With plenty of drunk students roaming the midnight streets, it really was wonderful to have such a taxi driver turn around the image of being taken advantage of when vulnerable in an unknown city. Many thanks (& I know other customers have been very happy too because of the calls coming in while I was in his car and he had other drivers look after them for him). Only sorry I didn't ask his name to thank him here personally.

Service, check-in and cleanliness were all up to scratch, and the staff were friendly and helpful. The restaurant is actually rather nice, and not too expensive, and there's a large bar with lots of natural light (and real ale). It's conveniently close to the M20 for an early morning start from Dover (and much nicer than most of the hotels in Dover, which in my experience rather exploit their captive market). I gather that it is popular for wedding parties, so beware if booking at week-ends!
