I've used Dr Lepore's and Dr Dougherty's services for several years and prefer them over any other dental care in the TampaBay area. I have used them for a variety of services. They are not the cheapest dental care but they are excellent, knowledgeable, and dedicated to the highest level of customer service of any dental service I or my family have ever experienced. If you like being upsold on unneeded procedures, this is the place to go. They are all about overprice procedures that may not be necessary. Always question their suggestion because they are in a 100% profit driven model now. Dr. Lepore was once a good dentist, but now he is a full on capitalist and only cares about maxing out his billings. Dr. Dougherty is a very nice person, but was not a good dentist. I had an implant put in by her (and it failed 2 days later). This practice is failing due to greed and not listening to customers needs. It will not succeed in the long term, so I recommend finding a better practice for your needs. read more

I can't say enough about my positive experience with Lepore Comprehensive Dentistry. Upon relocating to the Tampa Bay area, it took me some time to find a dental practice where I felt comfortable and could trust that the practitioners had my best interest in mind. Dr. Lepore and his incredible staff helped me with a complicated dental issue that should have been corrected years ago. My procedure took some time but the Lepore team was always accommodating and made sure that I was comfortable every step of the way. Customer service is severely lacking. This location is listed by my insurance provider as one that accepts my insurance, however I've called three different days at different times including in the morning, evening, and once after hours when I left a message. No one has picked up the phone or returned my call. I've put off finding a dentist after relocating to the Dunedin area in May 2020 amid the pandemic, but now that I'm settled I'm surprised that this business is not returning calls from potential new clients. I had a horrible dental experience moving to a new city! My front tooth crown fell off, and I needed it replaced. I went to a random dentist I did not know and had it cemented back on. Less than a week later, it fell off again, and when I called to ask for help the office told me they could not give me until next week! I was so frustrated and happen to drive by Dr. Lapore's office and stopped in. The receptionist was so caring and sweet, and offered to call me if they had an opening. They were able to get me in that day, and even stayed late to work on my tooth! They were friendly, caring, and exceeded my expectations! It had been a very long time since my last visit to the dentist so when I set an appointment last week and went in for an exam and cleaning I was extremely nervous. My whole mood changed within 30 seconds of being there because of how welcoming the amazing staff was. Everything from the X-rays to the exam to the cleaning was done very proficiently and I learned a lot in the process. I easily give Lepore Comprehensive Dentistry a 5 out of 5 not only for their professionalism but for how well trained and hospitable the staff was throughout the entirety. I have always been very reticent to go to the dentist and spent over 10 years without going to one. My daughter recommended that I try Dr. Lepore and I have to say emphatically that I am very glad I did. His bedside manners are excellent but the thing that truly makes a difference for me is his genuine concern for my health. He will discuss the treatment options and will not push unnecessary treatment. He left the practice that he was at early in 2016 and I had several cavities that needed to be filled. I actually delayed my treatment on purpose until I found out that he had established a new practice on his own. I made an appointment and got the work done quickly. Was I glad I was able to reconnect! You can tell a lot about a doctor by the way he treats his patients and his staff. You can tell that his staff is very happy with him. I would encourage anyone that is looking to change doctors or has not been to a doctor for a while to make an appointment with doctor Lepore.
