I have been needing a dentist here in Tampa, and finally stopped procrastinating and did some research. Yelp is a always a good source for ratings on different businesses and services, so that is often the first place I check. A Caring Dentist was very close to me, and had mostly good reviews... so I made an appointment. I was on time for the appointment, filled out the needed paperwork, and they took me back. The gentleman that took my dental X-rays was very warm, and personable... and we hit it off pretty well. Just a really nice guy! Then Dr. Parasher came and introduced himself, and I was impressed! He really did make me feel welcome, and that he did indeed care! He did his part of the exam, and it was painless and well executed (I have been to several dentists in the past so know the routines!) I was told when I made the appointment that they might not be able to to a cleaning same day... and I was ok with that. They did the initial exam, and found they had time to do the cleaning... but I had to reschedule, since I needed to get back to work (lunch hour and all). So they set up another appt. for the following week. Staff is easy to work with... everyone is friendly, and they are also very professional. I would highly recommend Dr. Parasher to anyone needing a dentist. I look forward to my next appointment, and will update this review afterwards. read more

Moved here recently and am hoping to find as good a dentist as we previously had. Calling in I was told we couldn't just make an appointment for a dental cleaning. This office wants us, a family of 4, to come in and have the dentist do an exam, then we would schedule a 2nd appointment to get our cleaning (and any dental work done, which none of us needs). This means TWO adults have to take TWO days off of work. This is NOT convenient for the customer and I am unsure as why others would go along with this? Where we moved from, you had an appointment for ONE hour and the Dentist did an exam, then your teeth were cleaned. Easy peasy, no 2nd appointment. This benefits the dentist and his/her schedule NOT the customer. People, speak up and use your voting power by not allowing this to happen. This is time consuming for your customers to have to come in 2 different days, bad business. read more

As someone who has had issues with my teeth most of my life, I've bounced around from dentist to dentist trying to find that perfect fit. I would try those big flashy ( seems weird to refer to dentists this way) dentists with large facilities and multiple locations where it would take at least a month of planning to get an appointment...And once I got an appointment, the wait times were outrageous. Worst of all, it always felt like a Sales environment with the staff always pushing for the " Latest in technology" instead of what was right for me...I'm happy to say I've found none of this at BK Parasher's. BK Parasher's definitely has that " Family Oriented" feeling to its office which is a huge plus. You won't feel like a number here and will get the attention you deserve. For me, wait times have been very reasonable and didn't feel like I was wasting half the day in the waiting room like I have in a few other places. The staff is very friendly and comforting...that coming from a guy who has always been apprehensive to dentists in general! I feel that a lot of people like me put off going to the dentist because they're afraid of being scolded for doing an insufficient job at home. This isn't the case with BK Parasher. Yeah, he's going to tell you about potential teeth issues, but he does it in a way that doesn't make it sound like you're being lectured by your parents. He's very gentle on your mouth too! One of the rare dentist appointments where I had no complaints about them being too rough on my mouth. I have been looking for a more affordable dentist. When I found a coupon in Val Pak for "A Caring Dentist" which is located at: 11017 N Dale Mabry Hwy, Ste A, Tampa, FL 33618, I decided to check it out. I went there for the first time at the end of August this year. I needed to get three crowns. After looking at my X-rays, Dr Parasher explained his findings in great detail and told me which one was the most important one to get done first and why. He and his staff were so friendly, professional, and informative that I felt comfortable immediately. Therefore, I decided to make this my new dentist of choice. I went back today to get a deep cleaning and to have him start on my first crown. I was very happy with my cleaning and the first phase of my crown. They explained the costs again before they started which I really appreciated. The Doctor and his staff really impressed me with the way that they thoroughly explained everything they were going to do every step of the way. Also, they all are very warm and friendly and kept asking if I was doing okay. They made sure I was happy with my cleaning and that the fit and feel of my temporary crown was perfect. Since I don't have dental insurance, they told me about the different payment options I could utilize with my Care Credit. I am very impressed with this office and I am glad that I took a chance and tried them. They are located in a strip of office buildings behind a Taco Bell on Dale Mabry in Carrollwood. My children and I went to Dr. Parasher's office for a few years until our wallet became more of a priority than our teeth. My son had an early morning appointment for a followup for a crown, made the appointment first thing in the morning so my son would be at school in time to play football that night, Dr. Parasher was 40 minutes late and when he asked me how we were doing I told him not good we've been waiting on you. I had to speed like a maniac to get my son to school on time because if they do not attend more than half the day of school they cannot play that night at the game and my son told me we shouldn't make the dentist appointment the same day as the game and he was right. No thanks to Dr. Parasher I got him to school on time. Then, on another visit I had a pain in my mouth had asked Dr. Parisher to look at it as it hurt, said everything is fine didn't see anything. After going there a few more times they seemed to be more concerned about charging me more for an extensive cleaning then the pain in my mouth. Tried to tell me that the cleaning my insurance covers is not enough that I needed to spend another couple of hundred dollars on cleanings which I flat refused I changed dentist and found out that I had a cavity in that tooth where the pain was and the cavity was so bad that it needed a root canal. Very upset with that office and Dr. Parasher too!! Dr. Parasher had written down that one of my son's teeth needed a filling and the dentist we are currently going to said that there is nothing wrong with that tooth!!!!! Hence, more concerned about my wallet then our teeth. Very sad to see this dentist office go down hill but his desk help lacks bed side manners and respect for the people who are opening their wallets to be ripped off. read more

I will never return to this office again. After taking 2 months to get in for a simple cleaning, I showed up to my appointment on time after leaving work early. I waited for 45 minutes and then the hygienist took a gentleman back who had arrived after me. I went to the receptionist and asked how much longer the wait would be and was told that it would be at least another 30 minutes if not longer before I was seen. I explained that I had a sick infant child at home and was told there was nothing she could do to help. The staff was not helpful nor understanding of the situation. I will also note that I was the 2nd person to walk out in that 45 minute period due to the ridiculous wait time. This dentist's office has also billed my husband and I wrong multiple times which has resulted in hours wasted on the phone with insurance companies and explaining over and over to please bill our dental insurance and not our health insurance for future services. I can understand making this mistake once, but when it happens every single time that you go for a cleaning it is a problem. It is not the dentist at fault here, it is the staff that works for him, I am sorry to say. read more

Wesley Chapel Office. I came from New Jersey where I had dealt with professional medical and dental staff. In Florida, this does not seem to be the norm. In Dr. Parasher's case, I like him because he seems to be friendly although he never used a mask the times he did work on my teeth, and that bothered me. The staff is a different matter. His office sent me a bill in November 2013, months after my dental work was done. Not wanting to pay without knowing that the charges were valid, I called them to ask for an explanation of the bill. No one answered so I left a message. The same thing happened in December and January. NO ONE EVEN BOTHERED TO CALL BACK. Finally, in February I received a letter threatening to send me to the collection agency ... and lo and behold they attached a description of their charges instead of a one-liner dollar amount. How hard was it to print a copy of the charges and mail it to me!!! I can only attribute it to a very lazy staff! read more

Bad Business! After seeing numerous ads for an X-Ray and Cleaning for $59.99 I decided to check it out. After my X-Rays I was informed that I did not have any cavities. They then tried to up-sell me to $900.00 to get my teeth filled to prevent cavities, which I'm not at risk for. I cant blame them for the up-sell, its business, so i told them no thanks I would just like my cleaning. They then told me that i do no qualify for the cleaning anymore because i did not meet their criteria for a "healthy mouth" because a very small section of my gums weren't "up to standard". Again, tried to up-sell $85.00 more for a different cleaning. I went to my usual dentist for a cleaning for $75.99 which he informed me my gums were fine. A Caring Dentist is FALSE ADVERTISING to get more customers. Don't get lured into their office just to get scammed out of $60.00 in exchange for a X-Ray that is completely useless to someone looking to get their quarterly cleaning. read more
