Currently living on a construction site. The constant beeping of construction trucks starting at 7am can get quite annoying when you are home. If you plan on moving in wait until after construction is over, big mistake on our part. Also, don't live on a floor with people above you unless you want to hear every step they take. Pluses: nice pool is nice but not heated, the gym is nice and hardly anyone works out in the building so you have it to yourself. However, the TVs in the gym have been broken for months and the individual tvs on the treadmills have never worked. Oh and finally, our kitchen which is brand new has been falling apart. The fake wood peels off very easily. In general I would say this place is over priced. read more

Let me start with the positive- the front office is very kind, approachable and have no complaints with them, but they are limited on what issues they are able to address and remedy - that falls on Lerner management - and I don't even know who that is, which makes it difficult to address concerns. The apartment itself looks good & I am happy with the layout. I have met a lot of nice people, many of them have left:( , but some are still here & I am very friendly. I am happy we have a garage. This is however apartment living and the construction is not the most solid ...We hear the running of the toddler above quite often, and (rarely) the heavy bass music from below us (thank you, neighbor)...noise from next door neighbors not an issue as we are on a corner ( thank goodness!). There is a no smoking policy within 25 feet of the building which is blatantly ignored all the time. My complaints are the same as they have been since we've been here & we have been in this building since it opened 3 years ago. The TVs in the gym are sporadically on, often without sound & unable to change. I had hoped to take my iPad with me to watch what I want, however the internet (when I can connect!) suddenly disconnects so many times I have given up. The hot tub you may as well forget - this summer you could use it only if the lifeguards turned it on for you. A few times over the years I have asked to watch a game on the TV outside and even the staff couldn't get it working. The movie room would be a nice option, but I've heard so many complaints by others I haven't even tried. These are ongoing issues never remedied and these are the wonderful amenities we are paying for. I have been able to clean some of my windows, however it is impossible to clean the outside of the sliding doors and in the mornings when the sun shines in, they are dirty! (we have lived through the construction of the other buildings). It would be nice to have them cleaned once every...3years? We've been great residents for 3 years, we pay premium rent on time, we happily pay the monthly fee for our older, quiet, low maintenance dog, we treat our apartment & building as we have our homes, we don't smoke, we don't break the rules, and the rent continues to rise. I think Lerner would want to keep good residents and work with them. We tried to find a condo before our lease renewed because of the increase, however with our busy schedules we couldn't accomplish it in time. It won't happen again. read more

While windmill parc is a beautiful apartment complex, the service from the leasing team is less than desirable. I was promised a refund of $250 within 30 days, 2 months ago. The team does not respond to my emails, so I have to call in and bother phone operators who ultimately can do nothing but pass a message along to those who do not return emails. Good luck getting any money out of them, but be prepared to put up a ton of money to even apply. Glad I chose to live somewhere else. read more

Parking is awful, drive through this lot after midnight and see if you can find a space. Construction noise is non stop. Which would lead to my next concern. Where the hell are people going to park once the four new multi-residence complexes are complete. There is an undesirable aroma in the hallways, and the overall cleanliness is poor. Don't bring up parking to mgmt because they don't care and will only tell you that they are required by law to only provide 1 1/2 parking space for a two-bedroom apartment. If you figure out how to cut your second car in half let me know. read more

My roommate & I have lived at Windmill Parc for about 10 months now, and we don't want our lease to end. The office staff is incredible - Katie, Damon, Amanda & Sabine all go above and beyond for their residents. The maintenance staff is incredible as well. Thin walls/ceiling, multiple water leaks, will never recommend Lerner. I have hesitated to give a review of my experience with Windmill Parc and Lerner because I am more critical about things than others might care about. But now I feel it's about time to give my review of the apartment. I rented a brand new 1 bedroom apartment for a year, Price is reasonable for the area, the units are nice, appliances are a big plus, loved the under cabinet lighting etc., all the wow factors that sell anyone on a tour. Property is well kept because they have a crew that picks up the parking lots, and clean the buildings daily. So all in all nice cosmetically. Now for a few things to keep in mind when selecting your unit.... Don't stay anywhere near the trash room, or any stairwell, these doors are very heavy and they SLAM shut, so you will hear every time anyone opens the door. This brings me to the thin walls/ceiling. You can hear anything that's happening out in the hallway, on my floor wasn't too much commotion, but if there is a kid running up and down the hall, or a dog barking you will hear it. If the person upstairs is wearing shoes, has kids or a dog, you will hear them running around. Speaking of those doors, from when I moved in till the day I moved out one of the doors in the breezeway has been broken. Doubt they have fixed it Parking was HORRIBLE, but has gotten a little better now that they FINALLY enforced parking a few months ago, before that you couldn't find any parking while construction on the new buildings was going on. You would think when 100 spots or so were taken up for 2 buildings to share, that was the time to enforce parking, and nope they waited till after construction was done. Few months into my lease I had a water leak in the bathroom wall because when the property was built someone screwed the drywall into the water supply pipe. So they had to cut out the drywall in the bathroom to fix the leak. Few months later I came home to a puddle of water on my kitchen floor, I thought the person above me flooded their washer. Nope, turns out everyone above me and below me had a water leak from, what they say the building settling. As I sat on my couch I heard water spew out of the sprinkler in the bathroom.... Hrm. Anyways they came and fixed that too and for a couple of days I had to deal with huge fans running 24/7 that took up my entire bathroom and in front of my washer/dryer. Try sleeping behind a plane, kind of what it sounded like. Now to the MOST important part of this review...... Lerner is a VERY money hungry company, they charge you for everything. If you want an additional RFID tag to get access to the door for your spouse or kid, $150. But there are ways around this, use google, save your money. Also be sure you set an alarm in your phone to alert 60 days before you lease is up. If you don't give them proper notice, they want to charge you 60 days' worth of rent from when you give notice, Even if they rent out the unit, they want to charge you even though your lease is up.... Sketchy. The staff is blah at best, Assistant manager is nice, and the rest are kind of rude. I tried to email them and write in their dashboard reguarding the 60 days fine prior to when I found a new place to live and before my lease was up, They never responded. Month after my lease was up, and I have already paid for a new place to live they hit me up with a $1000 fine for giving them only 38 days notice... So like I said, Make a reminder. read more

ONLY RENT IF YOU LIKE LEAKS, FLOODS, BACTERIA-RIDDEN HOT TUBS AND TONE-DEAF PROPERTY MANAGEMENT... Overall Conclusion: You may be excited to see the beautiful pictures of this semi-new property, the "nice" amenities and the great neighborhood. HOWEVER, what you see in looking at this property is not an accurate reflection of what you're renting in that: (1) More often than not, the majority of the amenities are not working or in disrepair, (2) The building has extensive water leaks due to settling, multiple contractors, and faulty construction (We've experienced this personally in our unit and I'll provide more on that below), and (3) The property management has made no effort to make accommodations for these significant issues. My Recommendation: DO NOT LEASE FROM THIS PROPERTY. Now, I'm going to be a fair, but firm in this expanded and detailed review. I don't seek to review with a "drama" tone - only to provide a complete, but damning picture. We first looked at this property in September 2016. We were wooed by the "nice" amenities, "new" building and nice neighborhood. So, we moved into Lerner Windmill Parc in November of 2016. As entrepreneurs, we work and live out of our home and were excited by the gym outfitted with numerous televisions, the "year-round" hot tub and what we perceived as generally acceptable customer service. What follows is what we actually experienced. I'll first summarize and then offer greater details. Summary: While the gym equipment is nice, none of the televisions in the common areas work consistently - neither does the movie theater equipment - and the "year-round" hot tub was full of algae and consistently below 50 degrees.. More damning, about 6-months into our living experience, our guest bathroom was badly damaged due to back-to-back water leaks. The first leak/flood nearly brought the ceiling down and required emergency maintenance after inches of water filled our bathroom. The first drywall repair was poor and was followed by another serious leak. The drywall repair that followed the second leak was truly bad and unacceptable for such an expensive unit. We're still waiting on an appropriate repair done to the standards of new construction. While waiting on the corrective repairs, a third leak has occurred and the bathroom is now in need an "entire ceiling" replacement. You should consider this damage and the subpar repairs. Also note that this issue has been consistently going on for nearly two months. Of course, you may want to know how the leasing office staff handled these issues (amenities and massive leaks included). I'll give as complete of a picture as possible. First, the maintenance staff was incredibly helpful in attempting to fix these repeated problems - problems that were not their fault. As for the general leasing office leadership, their response was categorically unacceptable. For one, the property went with out an active property manager for months. Second, when the property finally had a property manager (I'll leave her name out of this), our leak and flooding situation was compared to her previous experience as a disaster relieve specialist and working with the Red Cross in disaster areas. It left me wondering if I should contact the Red Cross or FEMA for a more appropriate response. When my wife and I requested to be transferred with moving expenses to a unit not in disrepair with back-to-back leaks, we were told no (in a disrespectful, tone-deaf approach). The property manager chalked these massive, back-to-back leak issues in this $2,000 per month unit to "stuff happens" and then referenced how this is nothing compared to what she experienced in her past as a "disaster relief specialist." I Repeat My Recommendation: DO NOT LEASE FROM THIS PROPERTY. I have given this property and its management sufficient time to handle this significant issues and the response has been and poor and disrespectful for the amount we invest in this property on a monthly basis. read more

This place is cheaply made. It looks awesome but after moving in I'm upset at lack of attention to detail. I probably shouldn't write a review since I live here but it's a lot of bells and whistles but not a lot of quality, ESPECIALLY for the price. Walls are super thin. We lived there 5 years. I made friends with my neighbors, the first manager was great & we felt he listened to our concerns. The location is convenient, the apartments look nice but, we often heard neighbors above and below & the construction was not of great quality. I had concerns over the years and at the end which I need to comment on. RE: the amenities....the gym never had reliable internet though numerous times I brought it up and was told they were working on it - never did see that resolved. Maintenance in the first year + and the last year + was good and addressed concerns well. I complained several times about the sliding glass doors as it was impossible for me to clean due to the bars on the bottom half ( early in the morning when sun was rising, you could tell it was dirty as it was just a big haze & several surrounding buildings had been constructed while we were living there)...it never was addressed, though I was always told it would be. A couple years in the one bathroom had mold growing in the caulk - they applied new caulk, but mold came back & the grout was difficult to clean as I suspect it was not sealed properly at construction. Dog costs to live there add up, so figure that in the monthly amount. Also expect to pay fees if you pay with credit card or checks...only way to avoid that is automatic withdrawl from your checking. We were very good residents and I spent a lot of time cleaning the apartment when we moved out. Apparently there is in the lease a $60. carpet damage fee ( which is really a cleaning fee) that is due when you move out, though I feel after 5 years and 125,000. + that is ridiculous when the carpet is in good condition & the apartment was left clean. When I asked the office if there was any deposit or anything upon leaving, that might have been nice to know. Called customer service line to voice my unhappiness and no call ever returned after 1 month. It's apartment living, not a 'home' & I'll leave it at that. read more

Absolutely stunning apartments. I moved in last August and I could not be happier with the location, amenities, apartment details and leasing staff. I worked with Katie and she was fantastic from the time I walked through the door. She made moving in simple, easy and stress free. I really appreciate her help with everything she did for me. The elevators make living on the top floor very convenient (just remember to buy a push cart for groceries). Tons of natural light in my apartment which was really important to me. Construction is done during the day so it does not bother me because I do not get home until after 5pm. Overall you will really enjoy living here, I cannot stress how great the office and maintenance team are. Thank you to Preston for coming so fast to fix any concerns I have! read more

This place was by far one of the best I've ever lived in. Firstly, the staff was INCREDIBLE. They were always able to answer my questions and never left me hanging. Damon was a huge help while in the search for a new place. He was extremely patient with the specifics that I had requested and during the multiple visits I made. The apartments themselves are awesome. Amazing finishes with great appliances. The neighborhood could not be better. All around great feel with some friendly neighbors as well. Felt really at home and not just at some average apartment. Maintenance showed up promptly and worked efficiently the one or two times I ever needed them. Great gentlemen who were very friendly as well. I just moved out because of my job, unfortunately. If it was up to me, i would've definitely stayed. Amanda and Katie were also super helpful when it came to coordinating my payments and move out. I recommend this place to any professional or family that's relocating or transitioning. Or to those who simply like to rent. I'll choose this place if I ever have to come back to the area. read more

After living there for 2 years and never had any issue. our contract ends on end of April. we have to move earlier Feb 27th since we had purchase a new home and we were moving our stuff in steps. since I am still paying rent till end off April, I still occupied the apartment and no one allowed to enter unless with approval or a notice for entries per their contract. My wife and I left some of cloth and purses in the closet. we went back to the apartment 2 weeks after to pack the rest of our belongings just to find someone had entered our apartment without notice and stole 3 of my wife purses worth more then $6000 and left 2 of the protective bags on the closet floor. we immediately went to the office and the office denies any entry. we filled a police report and filed a claim with my insurance. after another 2 weeks I went to the apartment once again to clean and setup the apartment to find out there were another entree to my apartment without a notice again and this time they have closed the window and changed the carpet "WOW". so I went back again to the office and the most funnies thing is they denies once again entering the apartment. " maybe the thief felt bad for me and changed my carpet". any how, to make this short after contact the detective working on my case which I doubt she taking it seriously, she stated there were 4 entries to my apartment but in here words those entries were for maintenance which I have asked what maintenance. she responded back stating those entries were error in behalf the office due incorrect in their key system. yet, she said this issue ill need to work with office . will the office manager avoiding to see me, every time I ask the office worker they denies and they don't have info. the detective I am working with having issues connecting the dot even though its clear like the sun, and my insurance companies wont work my claim till they have a prof of unauthorized entries which nor the office or the police are wailing to provide me with official one. I didn't want to bring this out. but since the office and the manager are not working with me even though that was an error from them that just pushes me to put the truth out there for others to be careful. if you cant leave your belongings in your apartment and feel safe whats the point of having a key lock when the office going to walk in anyway. read more

I have been living here a few months since November and I absolutely love it! The amenities are great and the community is very friendly. I love the modern fixtures, decor and feel to the buildings. Both individuals have been extremely respectful and accommodating to my family, myself and others (as observed), so I want to ensure their efforts do not go unrecognized. I have lived at windmill park for 5 months and realized I needed a bigger space asked Damon if I could move to a top floor larger space and after a few days it was accomplished. Everything I have asked for they have meet my expectations by far a 10! read more

This community is exceptional in it's facilities, prices, and staff! Compared to many in the area, it offers luxury at an affordable price without all of the hidden fees (e.g. trash, parking). Although I did not rent at this property due to my current move-out needs and the availability, I wanted to share my great experience and encourage others to check Lerner Windmill Parc Out. I worked with Damon White throughout my housing search. He was extremely helpful and caring throughout the process. Damon went out of his way to keep me updated via phone call or email, even when he was NOT working! I originally called on a Saturday, where Damon spoke for 15+ minutes through pricing and then toured the property on a Sunday. Damon was willing to show me multiple units and then discuss various units/prices on a weekly basis, up to 3 weeks out from when we met. I NEVER write reviews but felt that this experience was deserving of a KUDOS. I am bummed I did not end up there but hope someone else will read this and take my place! read more

So i just picked up my keys today that said i couldn't say more about Michael at David at the leasing office. Due to unforeseen family emergency i was in a bit of a bind. Michael and David were very supportive during my adjustments needed and didn't complain or try to put me off in anyway. Top notch service and professionalism. Keep it up. When we first moved in about a year ago we were really excited about the area, it looked really clean and taken care off but unfortunately went down hill from the time we moved in. There was construction going on between the hours of 6 am till about 5 pm making it hard to sleep in, the apartment that we moved into had a lot of hazards such as missing fire alarm in one of the bedrooms making it non compliant, there were wires hanging over the stove, electrical malfunctions. The fan was not working over the stove, cable went out a few times due to outages in our building and we lost a few hundred with food that went bad when the fridge would go out. We contacted management about the issues when they occurred, they would come inspect the problems but never replace what was damaged. They would close the tickets out claiming the work was completed when it wasn't. It has been a compete disaster since the time we moved in. I really would have loved to stay here and I hate to say this, but I can't wait to be out of here. Feel free to check it out for your selves folks. read more

I was very worried about downsizing from a large home to an apartment. I visited several complexes listed on Yelp and I was losing hope until I visited Windmill Parc. I made my decision instantly after seeing the apartment with a stainless steel kitchen and a great room! Yes there is a beautiful pool, well equipped gym, party room, and amazing viewing room with 15 theater seats available to residents. Yes the complex is pet friendly and provides bags and disposal cans in convenient locations. Yes the grounds are kept in manicured condition. Add to that the personal attention offered by the staff beginning the moment you meet Damon White. Not only did he insist on placing a service order for me when my garage door did not sync with my remote, but he followed up with me to ensure I was taken care of in a timely fashion. This brings me to Brian and the incredible custodial staff who treat the complex like their own. This is truly an apartment home! I love living here. read more
