My interaction with Dr. Neda Rahimi was by far the worst and most unprofessional service I have ever received in a medical setting. Dr. Rahimi was dismissive, rushed, and lacked basic manner. The overall attitude was unpleasant and unwelcoming, leaving me feeling uncomfortable and disrespected as a long-term patient. After two decades of trust and consistency with this practice, I expected professionalism, empathy, and clear communication. Unfortunately, this experience fell far below those standards. I left feeling unheard and deeply disappointed. I hope the office takes this feedback seriously, as no patient--especially a long-standing one--should be treated this way. This is the WORST dental office. My son has braces and they never communicate or educated parents…read moreabout care and cleanings. My son went to several ortho appointments and not once did they tell me that he needs a cleaning. I booked a cleaning with my other son and that's when I found out in order for then to do the cleaning on my son with braces the device he has in his mouth needs to be removed and $300 charge and he hasn't had a cleaning in a year. No one told me this. This is the same ortho that sent my son and I home with no instructions on how to care for the braces. No kit nothing! Didn't find out til the wire was cutting his gums that he should have had a kit. I recently just made an appointment with a better, professional dentist. It's sad that as a member of the black community I can't trust this office. They need to be investigated. Office always smells like urine and they are very unprofessional. When I got to the place, I spoke with the receptionist and was quickly sent to the back after I filled out my paperwork. I had someone do xrays and it was pleasant. The hygienist came and poked my sensitive gums. I informed her they hurt and yet she continued to use the same amount of force. I spoke with another assistant and he recommended me to have certain procedures. I did not have a problem. The issue came when they told me nothing I needed was in my insurance plan. I quickly logged in online to my health plan insurance and showed her I was covered (she told me to show her proof and then they could proceed) for everything and they told me they would call me back the following day. I left with inflamed gums and that's it. No cleaning, nothing. The following day, no call. I called the next working day and the receptionist told me she had just came off of vacation (Okay....). I told her about my situation and she tried to tell me over the phone that there was nothing she could do. I explained to her I called my insurance company and spoke with them and I even had proof via my online account that I was covered. The receptionist tried to talk over me instead of listening to me. She wanted to tell me her experience with my health plan. I remained calm, no point of getting frustrated but she did not want to listen. I told her I could fax her all of my proof of insurance that I was covered. Then she stated in a rude tone, "Well, I'll send this to your insurance for a claim. You'll know before we do so then we will both know wont we?" That's what I wanted to happen anyway. Great......I guess. I don't think anyone needing business should talk AT someone trying to explain to them a simple mistake. When I receive the clearance for the bill I will be going somewhere else where they treat people with respect and where they know how to do billing and coding.

The blonde haired lady was kind of aggressive with her tone and not the friendliest, but Jennifer was so kind and helpful. I then consulted with Dr. James McAndrews, he was so professional, kind, and knowledgeable! I've always been terrified of dental settings and he made me feel like everything was going to be okay... and it was. A week later I came back to have my actual surgery and everything was quick and smooth. The assistants that were helping prep me for surgery were friendly and professional as well. I researched and really liked the "feel" of Atlanta Dental Spa. Their "No Judgement" attitude is what I liked the most. I walked in the front door (BIG step) and Tiara took such great care of me. She is so sweet!! After x-rays and scans, I met with Dr. Gandhi who was very understanding of my fear. He was gentle and explained everything that needed to be done and what those options were. It was scary looking at all that was needed, but they offer sedation dentistry and that's what I did. After a good couple of hours of being "consciously knocked out", Dr. Gandhi, Whitney and Britney got the work done! I left being able to smile showing my teeth for the first time in years! But more so, correcting the things that could affect the rest of my health. After I got home I did NOT have ANY pain which is saying a lot as I had a ton of work done. They said that days 3-4 might be the worst for pain, but there was NONE. And that's taking nothing but ibuprofen. The advancement of dentistry is amazing. More than that, finding a dental office that treats you like family, sees you at your scheduled time, offers you neck warmers, blankets, headphones with your choice of music...but most of all truly cares about your patient experience. Ms. Shaquita, was extremely helpful with directions and making sure we parked in the correct place. I was greeted immediately as I entered the office door. My wait time in the lobby before being called back for my procedure was no more than ten minutes. They offer very spacious waiting area, so you're not sitting on top of other patients while you wait. Steve Harvey, Family Feud marathon is on the TV offering a great distraction if you're nervous. Dr. Sruthi was great and explained the procedure as she went along making me feel comfortable. If you need Oral surgery this is the place to go. It was the amazing experience for me the 2nd time around.

It felt like they are focused on money and not on providing the best patient experience. I scheduled an appointment for a tooth extraction. I was pushed into having my consultation and procedure on the same day. On the phone prior to the appointment, I was informed I would be paying the full price out of pocket, and that the procedure would cost in the range of $600-800. This was very palatable to me. Once I got to my appointment, I met Dr. Cole for my consultation. He did not discuss the details of the tooth extraction, but only discussed two different options for an implant. I had no prior knowledge of how the extraction or the tooth implant process works, and had no idea we would be doing the implant today. He sent me back to the waiting room while they put together an estimate. When the staff pulled me back, they presented me with an estimate for over $6,000. I was understandably very shocked and didn't know what to do. The staff member did not walk me through the line items, and I had to ask questions to understand it while being in shock and trying not to cry. I felt I had no time to make an adequate decision, and that the doctor/office was pressuring me into an extremely expensive surgery. I think this could have been easily prevented by providing me an estimate of the implant prior to the appointment. Or not pushing me to have a same day consultation and surgery. I decided to go ahead with just the tooth extraction because I had an infection that I did not want to wait any longer to treat. I was taken back to the procedure room and put on laughing gas. The doctor came in and noticed I had been crying and asked why. I explained the pricing was shocking to me and the lack of communication around it had made me very flustered. He offered no reassurance or compassion. He literally said nothing. He numbed my gums and left while that set in. At this point I was alone in the room and I continued to get more panicky and stressed, as I now did not trust the doctor and I also did not know what was going on. The doctor had still not explained any details about what the extraction would be like or what the recovery would be like. I was also stressed that I wasn't getting the effect of the laughing gas becuase my nose was stuffy from crying. One of the staff came in and told me to try to calm down and offered to turn up the laughing gas. When the doctor came back in, he asked if I was numb and I said yes and then he started working on my mouth. He did not explain what he was doing and I was terrified I was going to feel more pain because of the laughing gas not getting to me. The doctor could tell I was uncomfortable, I still had tears in my eyes and was wriggling around in the chair, so he told me I shouldn't feel any pain, just movement and to raise my left hand if I felt any sharp pain. But he still didn't explain what he was doing and it all happened very quick. It felt very crass to come in there and rip my tooth out in 30 seconds without trying to calm me down. It was traumatic. Then he left abruptly without any further information. I got very little verbal after-care instructions from the staff in the room, and I felt left alone to figure out what to do despite being given four different prescriptions (including a narcotic) and two different rinse procedures. I'm also left confused if it's normal that there were no stitches done, if I'm suppose to have any kind of follow up appointment, and also what the next stage of the process looks like for me now. One thing is for sure, I won't be getting the implant done by Dr. Cole. They also charge $10 for wifi in the waiting room which gives you an idea of their priorities.
