Will NEVER RECOMMEND

I recently visited this practice with a relatI've who received care at this practice. The front…read moreoffice staff were very pleasant and the medical support staff were awesome as well. The issue with this visit stemmed from the unprofessionalism from the doctor himself before the procedure began. When the doctor entered the treatment room, he had the chart in hand with the information from the insurance company. The doctor scanned the insurance page claiming that a certain service was not covered and my relative had not paid for said service. That information was incorrect. He did not read the insurance data correctly, which clearly showed the approval from the insurance company along with the amount payable by the insurance and the patient responsibility. My relative reviewed all of this information during check in for the appointment with the front office staff and paid the portion not covered by the insurance in full ( not a payment plan). This behavior is very troubling and gives the impression that the money is more of a concern versus the patients health. Also, that is what the front office staff/ practice manager is for. If there was any disagreement with the insurance nor no payment was received by my relative, my relative would not have been allowed in the treatment room to begin with. I understand that the doctor has a business to run, but this situation could have been handled more professionally and with tact. The procedure went well. I would recommend better pre-op instructions. If I ever need the services offered by this practice, me personally, I would go elsewhere. Also, I would not recommend this practice to anyone I know. I do not tolerate humiliation nor disrespect. You show me who you are the first time, I take the interaction at face value and move accordingly. I don't care how much experience or renowned a doctor is, you humiliate me or my relatives, that is the last time you will see me or my family. On another note, I have seen the clientele that receives services at this practice, so I can see where the warped perception of patients may come into play. Well, listen here doctor, you are not dealing with rif- raff on this end. You are still practicing well beyond your years, so who needs who? Treat your patients better and it may be time for you to hang up the white coat. Good Day.

After enduring this, of course they told me I needed a DEEP cleaning, as opposed to a cleaning, and that would be an extra few hundred dollars my insurance would likely not cover. They never submitted the request to my insurance and I called over 4 times and left a message to speak to the office manager who NEVER returned any of my calls. They don't do their jobs and clearly don't want new patients. Very unprofessional. Don't waste your time...or blood here!

I went to this place very optimistic. I called earlier and asked if they took my insurance plan…read more They said they did and I scheduled an appointment. When I got to the place, I spoke with the receptionist and was quickly sent to the back after I filled out my paperwork. I had someone do xrays and it was pleasant. The hygienist came and poked my sensitive gums. I informed her they hurt and yet she continued to use the same amount of force. I spoke with another assistant and he recommended me to have certain procedures. I did not have a problem. The issue came when they told me nothing I needed was in my insurance plan. I quickly logged in online to my health plan insurance and showed her I was covered (she told me to show her proof and then they could proceed) for everything and they told me they would call me back the following day. I left with inflamed gums and that's it. No cleaning, nothing. The following day, no call. I called the next working day and the receptionist told me she had just came off of vacation (Okay....). I told her about my situation and she tried to tell me over the phone that there was nothing she could do. I explained to her I called my insurance company and spoke with them and I even had proof via my online account that I was covered. The receptionist tried to talk over me instead of listening to me. She wanted to tell me her experience with my health plan. I remained calm, no point of getting frustrated but she did not want to listen. I told her I could fax her all of my proof of insurance that I was covered. Then she stated in a rude tone, "Well, I'll send this to your insurance for a claim. You'll know before we do so then we will both know wont we?" That's what I wanted to happen anyway. Great......I guess. I don't think anyone needing business should talk AT someone trying to explain to them a simple mistake. When I receive the clearance for the bill I will be going somewhere else where they treat people with respect and where they know how to do billing and coding.

It's a trendy facility with friendly staff and modern equipment. They took a bunch of x-rays and provided flossing instructions but did not clean his teeth. We couldn't even get an estimate. Instead, we'd have to return for an extraction and a periodontal visit. The periodontist would determine what kind of cleaning was needed. Worse, despite great insurance, the out of pocket cost would be $2,000. With no cleaning! Extremely disappointed we did not return. We went to Southern Smiles Family Dentistry in Riverdale and spent less than $200, cleaning included. WITHOUT INSURANCE Currently Glenwood Dentistry has a $59 exam, x-ray, cleaning Yelp special for those without dental insurance. I made an appointment and was told the $59 is for a "healthy mouth." If Glenwood Dentistry decides I need a "deeper gingival scale cleaning" it will cost more. How much more? They didn't say... Instead they recommended that I sign up for a $119 Discount Plan. After being pressed, a gingival scale cleaning is $300+ depending on whether a laser is needed. That's in addition to the $119 plan. If I decide to decline the recommended gingival scale cleaning? Then I won't get a cleaning at all.. Goodbye $59! Fyi a Google review quoted $990 out of pocket for the laser. I've cancelled my appointment. SUM If you want clear, upfront pricing avoid Glenwood Dentistry. I do not recommend.

Hello everyone, I…read morewould not give even a single star but Yelp doesn't let me do it. The story goes like this. My wife had a toothache and I was going to take her to a dentist that took care of me in the past. I had a very good experience with the clinic called Light Dentist Touch and in particular with the dentist named Ruslan Semchyshyn. When I went to him in the past, he was able to resolve my pain problem on the spot. Unfortunately, Dr. Semchyshyn could only take us on Monday. However, my wife suffered from so much pain that I had no choice but to look for an emergency dentist who would see her on Sunday, 1/5/2020. Through Google search, I found this clinic, EmergAnCee and Family Dentistry formerly A Atlanta Emergency Dental Staff, located at 4135 LaVista Road Ste 600, Tucker, GA 30084. On their website, https://www.smiles2youdentalcenter.com/a-atlanta-emergency-dental.html, the name of this dental office is Smiles 2 You Dental Center. When we got to the place, I noticed that there was a signage with the name New Health Dentistry. Based on this, the dental office operated at least under 4 names which was strange. On the company's website, it says that it opens at 2 pm on Sunday. I read other patients' testimonials and became confident that the clinic is legit. All testimonials were positive. I was happy that my wife would get treatment sooner and be relieved from pain. We came at 2 pm sharply. There was another patient before us. Later that patient left because the clinic would not accept dental insurance because it was Sunday which I think is also strange. I think that if you have insurance and the clinic accepts it, it should be no difference what day of the week it is. So because the first patient left, we were the only ones in the office. Although, the clinic opened at 2pm, it was not until around 3:30-4:00pm when the dentist actually arrived. The receptionist told us that the dentist lives nearby and should be there in minutes, but it took him 1.5-2 hours to get there. While we were waiting for the dentist, the receptionist who was also a dental assistant made my wife's X-ray. They charged us $125 for the consultation and the first X-ray image and $31 for the second image. When the dentist came, he examined my wife and told us that he will not perform any procedures. He stated that because my wife has an infection, there is no use of using anesthesia because it will not work. He stated he will prescribe us antibiotics and pain medication and would see her 7 days after. I tried to point out to him that the only reason we went there because the clinic claimed to be an emergency dental office. I thought that was a kind of place where you can get immediate relief. However, I was wrong. The doctor did not look like he wanted to help. All he wanted is to prescribe medicine and send us off. When I told him that my wife is in pain, he stated he will give her anesthesia which will stop pain for 3-4 hours. They said that anesthesia would cost us another $60. After the anesthesia stops, he said she can start taking pain medication which he would also prescribe. He prescribed her oxycodone which is a very addictive narcotic. This doctor was not honest with us. He said he wouldn't do extraction because anesthesia wouldn't work because of the infection. At the same time he said he would do anesthesia to stop her pain. He contracted himself. When we left the office, we went to the pharmacy. We did not fill out the oxycodone. We only filled out antibiotic. After we left that office, I called my dentist and asked if he could accommodate us. He squeezed us into his schedule. He told that my wife should take ibuprofen and Tylenol to manage her pain. He didn't recommend that my wife take oxycodone. After we came home, I started looking for reviews about this dental office. It turned out that this clinic did exactly the same to many other people as they did to us. They only prescribed medicine and failed to address the issue. The dentist said he has 40 years plus of work experience, but he clearly doesn't know how to help people in need. Nor do they care about people. All they wanted is to charge us money. I noticed that they wouldn't even accept us before I paid the bill. On their website, I noticed that there is no way to comment or add testimony. The website claims that out of 40,000 patients only a few were not happy. However, they lie. I am very disappointed with this office. First, the dentist did not come on time. Second, the dentist stubbornly refused to help and lied to us. Third, he wanted that my wife take narcotic for her pain instead of giving her real help. I hope that people will not get into their trap. They lie and do not provide real treatment. We left the office very disappointed. My wife was still in

This monstrosity of a disaster needs to be shut down…read more The staff is unprofessional and arrogant...bad combination. They talk down to the patients that are there in search of pain relief and dental care and they might as well slap the patient in the face first. I have made it my mission to get as many bad reviews against this facility as possible. Yes, you could say that I have a personal vendetta against this place and the doctor. Dr. Pitts....I believe she might have gotten her dental degree from a cracker jack box. She was rude and was more concerned with her social agenda on her ever-ringing iphone than she is the patients that are there. They gave my fiance a prescription for pain medication with the WRONG NAME on them. When we took the prescription to the Publix around the corner, the pharmacist did not even seem the least bit surprised that the prescription was wrong. That is very sad. So, Ms (Dr...and I use that term as loosely as possible) - look into a new profession! AND PUT SOME LOTION ON YOUR ASHY ELBOWS. AND STOP PLAYING WITH YOUR NAPPY HAIR AND THEN PUTTING YOUR HANDS IN PEOPLES MOUTHS!
