While the staff are friendly, the food is really terrible. Their menu is not cohesive and a bunch of snacks and finger foods. The haddock dip was inedible (way too salty) and the wine was mediocre. The croque monsieur was equally awful and it was very strange to serve guacamole next to mac and cheese and fish tartare. You are better off avoiding this place and going somewhere with a real kitchen and chef. read more

I found this place on Google Maps and it was the best decision. We were immediately greeted by the owners, Roland and Valentin (sp?). We did not have a reservation but they sat us immediately. Both owners were very friendly and able to speak English very well. The food was great. We ordered the truffle mac and cheese, chicken quesadillas, tempura shrimp, chips and guacamole and the bruchetta. The drinks were also very good. Highlight of my trip to Paris! Les Apotres de Pigalle is a tapas bar that I wish was in NYC, because it 100% would do well. My boyfriend and I were welcomed with a shot on the house so we knew we were going to be having a good time. I ordered 4 tapas, and a cheese & charcuterie board for us. The truffle mac n cheese was creamy, fluffy and to die for. Our favorite was duck breast on a bed of quinoa. The duck breast was cooked to perfection and went perfectly with the sweet and slightly tangy quinoa. If I could I would ordered 2 duck plates. Next was the salmon ceviche which was just ok in my book since I like my ceviches very acidic and sour and with a fish that is less sweet in nature. Lastly we had sweet potato fries which were more like chips, which ranged from soft and crunchy accompanied with some mustard. Staff were fun, quick, and very personable. Can not express how amazing this restaurant is! Not only is the food outstanding, but it truly is a wonderful overall dining experience! Three brothers own the restaurant and all of them display the epitome of wonderful family oriented hospitality. It is a tapas restaurant featuring cuisines from around the world. We had an excellent dinner while staying in the Montmartre area. The place was small but welcoming. The food was very flavorful, well prepared, and not your typical French meal. We went to Apostles of Pigalle for an early dinner (reservation highly recommended) while staying in Montmartre during our trip. The restaurant has less than 30 seating and is very intimate. We were greeted by Miles, a British fellow who happened to be a partner at the place with couple of French brothers. Menu consists of choices for tapas that are made to perfection. You probably need to order around 5 for 2 people. The restaurant got full pretty fast and walk-ins were turned down. If you are in Montmartre or visiting sacre coeur I highly recommend this place. We had duck on a bed of quinoa, beet hummus (fluffy and delish!), guacamole made to perfection, their special which was sea bass crudo with a citrusy sauce (mouth watering). But we didn't stop there we added Mac and Cheese (French style) and their chicken quesadilla. Service is super friendly, food is great and place is awesome. The only reason for being 4 is that they didn't have any salads but that shouldn't stop you! read more

This was our first experience in a non-touristy real Parisian restaurant. The owner and waiters were super friendly. And the food!! We ordered the truffle Mac and cheese (please get it!), beetroot hummus (bright flavor without it being sweet), duck breast cooked perfectly, and the cheese quesadilla (delicate cheesiness). Les Apôtres de Pigalle :One of the greatest experiences in Paris. Hands down the best service with the most welcoming and comforting atmosphere I have ever encountered in France thus far. The tuna ceviche had an explosion of flavors with fresh tuna, mango, sesame seeds and a beautiful yet flavorful garnish. The duck breast sliced perfectly and was packed with flavors with its fruit pairing sweetening each mouth full as it melted upon my palate. The cheese plate was bountiful with a beautiful and tasty spread of 3 French cheeses, an apricot spread, and a french butter. The winning dish of the evening was the truffle Mac and cheese : the perfect amount of truffle and cream with a flavor profile I will come back to obtain again and again. Overall to sum things up! My wife and I were so excited to find this gem in Montmartre. Despite the location, this is not at all a touristy restaurant, and the fare isn't typical French. However, if you're in the mood for some creative and delicious flavors, you'll enjoy Les Apotres de Pigalle. We didn't have a reservation, but the gracious owners squeezed us in to a wine barrel high top table, and we had a wonderful meal. They have somewhat of a rotating menu. That night, we had Patatas Feliz (sweet potatoes with a creamy curry dip), Chicken Quesadillas, Chips and guacamole, and duck breast over beets with a fig jam and fresh pineapples. Despite their somewhat conventional sounding names, the flavors were anything but! The foods were delivered quickly and the servers checked on us often, but not too often. Our mixed drinks from the bar and our dessert (Nutella tiramisu) were tasty as well. To cap it all off - the owner, who along with all the other servers we met, speaks perfect English and noted we were from out of town, asked if we'd like other restaurant recommendations. He jotted down a list of 10+ restaurants, two of which we made it to before our visit ended. But first and foremost, when we return to Paris, we intend to come back to Les Apotres de Pigalle! PS - I'm a bit confused by the 1-star reviews. This is a tapas style restaurant with a carefully curated, intentionally small craft menu, and every bite was delicious. All the staff speak fluent, I mean excellent English. Reservations are recommended at nearly every quality eatery in Paris, and this being a smaller intimate place (part of its charm), recommendations are the way the experience can be controlled for both the restaurant and the patrons. read more

This is one tiny, friendly, delicious, and all around AMAZING restaurant! If I could give this place 10 starts, I would. We discovered Les Apotres back in the fall while on our honeymoon and looking for a truly exceptional place to eat in the city. We went for brunch and it was incredible in every way. It's a beautiful, casual, and very reasonably priced little place hosted by very friendly brothers who REALLY know what they're doing. Not only did we have one of the best meals of our lives, but we enjoyed the entire experience immensely and we're big brunch people (and not all that easy to please). Absolutely phenomenal. My wife and I feel this is an absolute must if you're staying in Paris even for one day. We will definitely be visiting again and hopefully VERY soon!!! read more

There are no words to do this restaurant justice. The first thing I will say is that this is the kind of place that has left a lasting impression on me. I am highly disappointed that it is so far from where I live and that I may never be back in the area to try it again. We choose this place as it was the number 1 rated restaurant in TripAdvisor and we expected the stereotypical things you would expect from a restaurant that might have an ego to match. The restaurant is small, a 4 tables and 2 wine barrel tables. You could never tell from the outside what kind of amazing food was being made inside. A reservation is absolutely necessary. We went in for lunch and brought our two small children. When we came in the owner gave us a warm welcome and immediately brought my children some chocolate to eat. At inspecting the tables I thought we would be snuffed because of our children, not at all. The owner was telling us that he had been an au pair and was an uncle so he was used to children and noise. The day we went they had a special fixed lunch menu. The waiter was so gracious and he was more than happy to translate for us. Ok now onto the food. The food was amazing, we were given some croissants and baguettes with jam, Nutella and butter. Then small plate entrees. Salmon ceviche, veggie quesadilla, truffle mac and cheese were some of the things they served. It was a taste explosion in my mouth. Every new food was a new discovery. I've only had this kind of experience once before. It was food heaven. We were so happy we went. The whole experience was great, amazing food and amazing customer service. If you can go eat at this place, it will change the way you think about food. You will not regret it. read more
