This is a really nice place with reasonable prices I got a plate of 2-3 varieties of cheese and Atlas of the regional red wine for €11 Sit by the window and get a nice view of the square. There are more expensive touristy places around. I scoped this one out

Great for a light lunch in Beaune-ville. We arrived hungry and wet from the downpour. Yelp is not prominent in Beaune (or most of France), so we Trip Advisor-ed the area for a bite. Every bistro was practically empty. The few patrons sitting outside under the cover was enough social proof that Les Chevaliers would be decent. The matronly hostess was very happy to see us. She smiled brightly and had a slight skip in her step as she led us downstairs and gave us French menus. I had Quiche with escargots and a salad. Delicious buttery crust on the quiche and plentiful chunks of escargot. The salad was simple and had a light vinaigrette. My hubby ordered a Andouillette sausage that came with roasted potatoes. Warning! The next statements may make you lose your appettite! Andouillette is a French sausage made from pig's intestines. Pig's colon will taste springy and have no odor if cleaned. Some people prize the andouillette for the fecal smell and taste. Yes, This sausage had a mild-homeless/NYC subway smell with each slice. Thankfully, it was not too strong so I didn't gag. The taste was springy and tasted like veal, pork and tripe meat. I could only eat a couple slices. Thankfully, my hubby didn't mind the smell and finished the plate.

Hearty plates for lunch and dinner. Somewhat casual bistro - brasserie ambience rather than formal restaurant. Lots of tables on open square. Indoor seating is very limited. Always busy with diners, so table Reservations for dinner are recommended. We ate both fish, meat and pastas here. All very good, quality and finesse are not as breath taking as at La Grilladine, but still the food here is very competent cooking that satisfies. Even food snobs will be happy here. Dinner 3 course formule around 24 Euros is plenty of food. Wine list is decent as you'd expect here in Beaune.

Great location and open for more hours. We had lunch there and were jealous of all the food we saw, we considered coming back for dinner. The staff was good and helpful. But skip the cold foie gras salad. Way over priced. Chocolate mousse was great.

The food was ok but not as good as most of the other restaurants we ate at over a two week vacation…read morein France. The service was very bad. They seated us and the servers only came by our table to drop off our food. We had to get up to request a second glass of wine which never came. However they put it on our bill. They removed the charge at our request. I would avoid this restaurant.

Caveau is Definitely one of the best restaurants in Beaune-ville. Delicious food, excellent…read moreservice, and romantically set in a old wine cellar with good lighting. We had: Six Burgundy snails with garlic and hazelnuts, Beef Bourguignon, Chicken breast with cream sauce, pouched eggs in bourguignon sauce, creme brulee and Creme de cassis 'bread' with raspberry sorbet. With 2013 Chablis and 2011 Monthelie Cuvée Miss Armande. Definitely order the 2011 Monthelie. As our tour guide told us earlier: Monthelie is the affordable delicious everyday wine. Best Burgundy snails ever! Delicious garlicky hazelnut blend with butter and olive oil. Juicy, meaty snails. I don't know where they get their snails but the snails were amazing! And that Beef bourguignon! OMG! Tasted like it was braised for hours. So tender, it tasted of onions, red wine, it was perfectly seasoned. Creme Brulee was solid. Perfect caramelized crust. And the almond flake that adorned the dessert was a like a slice of a great almond horn. The bread was a blackcurrant cake that fluffy, like a marshmallow mated with a souffle. So good. Excellent service, albeit a little pushy.
