Les fils à Maman is not to be confused with les fils à Papa which is in Uccle :-) At first I found all these restaurant names in Brussels really cool, but sometimes it gets confusing.
Now back to the review. Les fils à Maman, is a fun place to grab a bite. The environement is definetly relaxed, the walls are covered with '80s memorabilia, which brought back many fun memories of cartoons and music from those days. I even put my hands on a Texas Instrument Speak & Spell, really cool! As for the bathroom walls are covered with pictures of young people having fun on trips or nights out. It's like a yearbook. And when the sun breaks through the Brussels cloudcover, the terrace is fairly large, but if you know the weather will be nice and you want to have dinner outside on a wednesay evening (Place du Chatelain market), you absolutly need to make a reservation.
The waiting staff, is just like the place, fresh, fun, firendly and efficient.
Last but not least the food. Salads, burgers etc... Nothing exotic but simply well executed. As for the burgers this place has quality beef... My better half who NEVER has a burger because he doesn't like beef burgers, actually enjoys them there and has ordered one twice already ;-) read more
