Since the wife and I have really been into cocktails lately, trying to learn as much as we can, and trying new things, we decided to check them out on a Friday night. The bartender, Mica was so kind and friendly to my wife and me. We sat at the bar to watch him work, and to admittedly pick his brain when it came to ingredients. The wife tried a classic Mai Tai and I had their Cognac Safe Ticket. You can find descriptions of their house cocktails in the pictures. I absolutely loved the CST, and found it to be so delicious with it's hint of pear. We ordered a cheese plate and two more drinks, a Dill Breaker and An Apple A Day Keeps the COVID Away... Which despite the long name, was easily, without a doubt, the one of the best cocktails my wife and I have ever had! We enjoyed talking to them about their rums, especially their Trinidadian rums. They let us try some vermouths and other ingredients we and been curious about, and the bartender was so open to all our questions and provided some great conversation as well! The vibe of this place is great. I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a nice date spot, or for great cocktails. We can't wait to go back!

You walk through the door and there is color, romantic lighting, loungy chairs, and subtle incense in the air...it is a treat for the senses. Visually, olfactory, and of course gustatory. The cocktail menu is unique and extensive, with instructions for the customer to be open to experience; they don't serve the standard cocktail, they want you to explore and try something new. This has to be one of the cutest bars I've ever come across and the interior is unlike no other. The maximum seating inside is probably about 20 folks but they have a few tables outside for you to enjoy a few drinks. What stood out to me was discovering Plumette is also owned by the folks behind the coffee shop next door, Lazy Bear. The mixture of velvet, dark woods, dried flowers, and hues of glamour had me in awe. With a corner bar fully prepped to make some of the best cocktails you've ever had are just a mere order away. Plumette offered some of the best drinks I've ever had. If you're looking for a signature cocktail they proudly serve a drink called The Plantation. A few ingredients within the cocktail were amber rum, marula, lime juice, pineapple juice emulsion, peruvian bittern, and free coffee seeds. But I was pleasantly surprised when I went there for drinks one evening. I chose the homemade ice tea as usual and have become quite an expert in this field, so trust me when I say this one was reaaallyy good! They basically make it as if it was a cocktail so they take their time and use nice ingredients. And by that I mean it has the quality of a cocktail but definitely not the price! All the drinks have very reasonable prices and it is therefor the perfect place to go with friends and stay for a few hours without ending up completely broke. The atmosphere also lends itself for fun nights with friends and the decoration is cool with a view on a very tiny but green and jungly garden. It may not have the "wauw" interior you'll find in some other places but it's definitely more casual, friendly and budget-proof than the super hip places you'll find in the neighborhood. It's a perfect in-betweener for when you don't want to spend a lot of money in a too fancy place but still want to sit in a nice looking bar with a friendly and easy feel.

Cafe de la Maison du Peuple feels like every other Cafe we been at home. Coffee, Sandwich, Salad, patrons busy on their laptops..... my Yelp friend was yawning and ended up getting Cafe + Viennoiserie (3 EUR) as his breakfast and of course I needed my beer fix. Grisette Fruits des bois (2.50 EUR) was light and fruity, perfect for drinking during lunch time. There is no table service, so you do need to go to the bar area to order and pay, then the food will be delivered to your table. The vibe here at Cafe de la Maison du Peuple is laid back and youthful. I can stay here drink beers and yelp away the whole day just like the locals!
