I moved to NYC 4 1/2 years ago, and I still come home to my parent's house and get my hair cut here. Lori is the BEST hair stylist I've ever had. No matter what I want done - new cut, trim, color, eyebrow wax, mani/pedi - she does it all and it always comes out WONDERFULLY. I've gotten my hair cut at various upscale NYC salons, sometimes paying up to $125 for a hair cut and nothing comes close to the way Lori cuts. She knows the basics so it always results in a good style. She listens, knows my hair and how I like it and delivers every time. Her pedicures are fantastic as well. A little pricier than what I'm used to in NYC ($30 here w/ french) but it's totally worth it - my feet are the smoothest and toes look perfect for a good two weeks. I can't say enough good about this place - although it could really use a serious facelift. The decor looks like it's straight out of the 70's. The quality service makes up for it, but it would be nice to see a little update. Another great thing is that you can book an appointment (especially if you have to have a few lengthy services) but you can also walk in and they're very accommodating. Haircuts run about $25 for women, pedicures are $25, eyebrows are $8, manicures are $10. An all-around color is around $30 (I think) and of course highlights vary. They also have tanning too, at a pretty cheap price ($30/month, I believe). Credit cards accepted which is always good too! All in all, a good salon for a great cut that never fails. They have been in business for 3 years…read more I've always gone to get my eyebrows threaded and more recently I've added waxing services to the list. Geeta is the best tech hands down. She is very professional and kind. Eyebrow threading can be somewhat painful but she takes her time to ensure the sharpest and cleanest brows every time. For the waxes I get underarm and Brazilian. They use hard wax. But because Geeta is so bomb she will use the soft wax for those stubborn hairs the hard wax can't grab. Using both types of waxes allows for a clean wax which I absolutely appreciate. I've been to a few places for wax services but Best Brows and Beauty is for sure a hidden gem. For brows, underarms and Brazilian combined the cost is about $75-$80 total. There is plenty of parking available. Depending on the day of the week you go your wait for brows can be anywhere from 0- 30 mins. Appointments strongly recommended for wax services. I always ask for Geeta but one time she was away from work and I really needed my brows done so I let Indra do my brows per Geeta's recommendation and Indra is good too. Definitely check them out

Let me start off by saying, Din is amazing and you absolutely need to see her for any permanent…read moremakeup procedures. I had gotten my eyebrows microbladed ~4-5 years ago elsewhere, and while I was happy with what I had gotten at the time, after seeing Din, I appreciate how much more care she takes in what she does, and the level of customer service she provides. Getting permanent makeup done, especially your brows, is a BIG procedure, and actually, a bit of an emotional one! And thankfully, Din is there every step of the way. I started the process by booking my consultation with her, which we did via Zoom due to COVID. Although I was fairly familiar with the process, she still took the time to explain everything so I was prepared for the procedure, and to allow me to tell her what I personally wanted. From there, we booked my first session! I got a combo brow, and Din took into account the shape of my face and what I told her I liked. The procedure itself was not bad at all; Din numbed me (and continued to do so throughout the procedure). While it is a very similar feeling to getting a tattoo, Din has such a light hand and made sure I was OK throughout the entire procedure so I never felt any pain - moreso I felt the vibrations from the machine and the eventual soreness that comes with getting a tattoo procedure (if you've sat for a tattoo, you know this feeling). (Also, as we got this done during COVID, I must say - Din's office is *spotless* and she took every precaution to ensure that we were safe, and of course, that everything was sanitized for the procedure itself.) Afterwards, she walked me through what I needed to do through the healing process and what to expect - the itchiness, the peeling and how dark and light it would be at different stages (she also provides a cute info sheet!). You can see how my healing went in one of the pictures attached. What's great is that Din also includes a touch-up with the fee you pay, which is amazing and really speaks to how much Din cares about the final result. All in all, Din gave me back my confidence, and saved me a lot of time trying to fill my brows every day!
