In mid June, I paid $101 for a mani/pedi. My toes looked great. My fingers, not so much. I had four Dip repairs and a natural manicure. The nail tech polished my nails before the Dip set up and dried. There were all lumpy and bad looking. I waited a few days before I had the polish removed and the repairs redone. Even the hostess looked at them and commented as she remembered me coming in a few evenings before. Two different people removed the polish and started the second repair. The owner assured me that she would charge $$$ for the SNS dip. My thought was that they should have gladly repaired a bad job at no cost. I am a very regular customer. No one took responsibility for a hurried manicure. I expected more for over a hundred dollars. read more

Honestly, I've had a good experience before but it's just not consistent. I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone.. I did a manicure and pedicure. The lady painted over my cuticles on my manicure and I went to the owner. I was really unhappy to be paying $86 (plus tip) for a manicure/pedicure I could've honestly done better myself. I will never step foot in this nail salon again. I am here for work and needed my nails fixed, so I figured I'd go ahead and just get them done here. Well, I went from having very cute coffin-shaped nails to this pointy, square, I just don't know what to call this $45 mess that makes my nails look as though they're too small for my fingers. The girl who did them was SO rough, she kept burning me with the friction from the nail files, then she made 7 of my fingers bleed! 10 hours later, my fingers are still throbbing. They're not sanitary in any way, either. I'm hoping I don't end up with some kind of infection from it. I visited this nail salon on 7/13/23 for pedicure and remove SNS on nails and replace with gel for my honeymoon. I was told MULTIPLE times I was being upcharged $15 to remove SNS. Ok I get it. The entire length of my pedicure my hands were accidentally soaked in a bowl of ALCOHOL instead of ACETONE. My hands were completely ruined for my honeymoon as they cracked and peeled the entire time. I told the lady who checked me out what happened and she decided she would give me a discount of $5 off the $15 for SNS removal upcharge. So I still paid to have my hands ruined by alcohol. Also, a 5th grader could have painted my toes better than they were done here. My gel nails chipped after a few days. DO NOT GO HERE! I understand people make mistakes but at some point businesses need to make it right. I will be finding a new salon after this experience. read more

I come to Chapel Hill a lot for work and now I'm starting to come to Le's since I found it a few months ago. The salon is newer and very clean and hygienic and the ladies inside are very nice and pleasant. It's not cheap but I think for the service you get it's not expensive either. They have a huge variety of colors to choose from which is great because I'm kind of picky. Their massage chairs are very nice too. I always see Diane and she does the best job ever. She always makes my nails look their very best, and she is very nice too. I've seen her for literally years and she's always done a great job. And of course they do a great job of making sure you're not going to get covid here. I have mixed feelings about this place... on the one hand, the actual manicure and pedicure I received was pretty well done. The polish was even and neat. They also had a big selection of OPI colors that was really well organized. The location was also great.. about 5 mins from my apartment. Now onto the cons: It was really expensive. $68 not including tip for a regular spa pedicure and gel manicure. Is this typical pricing for nails in NC? I came from California where I could get the same for around $50-55. So perhaps that's not a con, but just a lack of experience on my part. I'm not sure... They also said a gel polish change was the same price as an entire manicure. Really?? Also the technician, while nice, kept interrupting service to go check out customers and such. So a mani/pedi took about 2.5 hours. Is this normal??? Again, in CA, almost all nail salons will have a separate person doing your manicure while you're also having a pedicure. They will also have a person to run the register. So everything is finished within 1-1.5 hours. I've never had nails take longer than that regardless of whether I was getting special designs done, or a more involved pedi with massage/scrub, etc. So the service here was crazy slow. Again, maybe just a regional difference, but I really did not anticipate spending my entire afternoon here. Finally, my cuticles on my hand were done a bit roughly (see picture below). My finger was bleeding afterwards. Also the skin on the side of my big toe was scraped off with a pumice stone during my pedi. I didn't notice until I had returned home and changed shoes and looked down cuz my toe was hurting. Cons are really outweighing the pros at this point.. Not sure if I will be back. read more

I enjoy coming to this salon, it's very clean and everyone is always so nice and helpful. They have plenty of nail colors including a wide variety of gels. I generally went with OPI because it was easy to match the gel OPI on my nails to my toes (because I'm that chick lol, matching is essential) lol. They also have at least 10 different pedicures to choose from with optional herbs and scrubs to meet individual needs. I've never had a poor pedicure here, they've all been enjoyable. I think the hot stone is one of my favorites. I wear my nails natural so I can't speak on full sets or fill-ins. I have also always been pleased with my manicures except once. My nails were not filed to my liking and were cut too short... that time it was done by the man while every other time it was a woman (I don't have a regular person, they are well staffed so I generally take whoever is available without incident). The man however, did an awesome pedicure so maybe he's better at those over manicures, *shrug*. The prices are reasonable, I would just ask ahead your total for everything to avoid sticker shock for any potential add ons. I've also had my eyebrows waxed here a few times and was pleased. I've never felt rushed even when I'm the last and only one in the salon. The thing that keeps me from giving them a 5 star (outside of that one manicure) is that they do not do have dip powder and lack the ability/experience to do the trendy/gaudy designs I like. Once again, I understand it's about demographics etc and maybe that type of thing is not in high demand in Chapel Hill but being 10 minutes from UNC it seems as if the demand would be there. Oh well, my one grouse. I like this place and would return if for some reason I didn't go to my now regular salon (that does dip powder). read more

This is definitely one of the better nail salons I've been to in the Triangle! Prices are fair, girls are really nice and it's really clean/comfy. I'd ask if you can stay in your chair while waiting for your nails to dry, though, because it's a really narrow space... and you might bump into someone and scratch up your freshly polished toes. read more

Yesterday I went for my nails to be done and because I have visited this place a few times, I felt comfortable enough with their service to have my eyebrows done to spite yesterday's trip being less than satisfactory for my girlfriend and I. First, rude staff tried taking her current polish off incorrectly and ended up telling her she needed to pay extra to get what she had off after 30 minutes of trial and error. Then, when the person waxed my eyebrows she quite literally ripped the skin off my face and the skin around my eyebrows immediately started sweating as a reaction. I instantly knew she had screwed up. Her response was, "your eyebrows look great". I'll let you be the judge. WAXERS BEWARE!!!! I am horrified!!! Update: it's day two and my gel polish has chipped. osteomyelitis alert! Today I had surgery to remove the tip of my fourth toe after getting a bone injection from this salon in March. I have been dealing with pain since March as a result of a terrible pedicure at this place. It took months to properly diagnose and I am so lucky the infection did not spread. Avoid this place at all costs. If you do get a pedicure somewhere else make sure all the tools are new for each customer, that the technician is wearing gloves, and that that the tub is lined. This still won't guarantee anything if the water they run through the chairs isn't filtered. read more

The 3/5 stars relates to the honestly poor quality of the acrylics I had done here. The acrylic was very uneven and bumpy. It ran over my nail bed, which meant it was catching in fabric and my hair after a day. During the application the Dremel was run over the nails too long, which was painful. I ended up removing them completely after a week. I would never get another acrylic here, but will go back and attempt a regular manicure simply for the environment. read more

I really wanted to like this place. It came recommended from a friend. I called and made an appointment and specifically asked if they did LCN nails. They replied with yes. I showed up at my appointment the next day. The nice lady said to pick out a color. I explained to her that it's a pink and white LCN and that I made an appointment for a fill. I then questioned again if they were able to do my nails with the LCN. They said yes. They sat me down and filed my right hand. After that the lady stopped and called someone else over and said they don't know how to do a pink and white fill with LCN. So, now I have one hand filed down. Please, don't tell me that you are able to complete a service and then file my right hand down and then tell me you can't complete the service. Won't be returning, obviously. read more

Literally do NOT step foot in here. Ever. I'm not picky about my nails at all and I have never felt so upset leaving a nail salon. My only requirements for the nail tech was full set acrylic with a square shape. Not only did the nail tech give me weird oval shaped nails that weren't even in any way, he also took the electric file to my cuticle multiple times and didn't even seem like he was sorry. I asked him to make my nails more SQUARE and he had no idea what I was talking about. This place is such a disgrace and the staff wasn't even friendly. If you want to get an idea of how bad my nails looked, my friends thought that I did my nails myself... I have never been more furious with an establishment. DO NOT GO HERE!!!! read more

I moved to CH last year and found this place by the great reviews online. The salon is clean and everyone is friendly. It took a few tries before I found a nail technician that I really liked and for the last year and a half I have gone to her every 3 weeks for my pedicures and manicures. She does a phenomenal job and the others I've had there are nice but I haven't liked my nails when they do them. Because of this I always make my appointments well in advance and take the time they offer scheduling my work day around it. Three times now, THREE, I have driven the 30 minutes for my appointment for them to tell me my preferred technician isn't there. Not once have they called me to warn me or reschedule. They let me get all the way there and choose my colors before telling me. The first time I get it, mistakes happen, the second, okay we are in a. pandemic stuff happens. The third is the final straw. Don't take appointments for people that are on vacation. The total disrespect for my time is a deal breaker. I have never had any service provider of any sort disrespect my time and energy to this extent. read more
