I went online to this store, ordered snow tires and filled out an application for credit. Got approved for $1,500. Tires were $1,200. I went down to the place, new tires that I ordered were installed. When I was paying, expecting the amount to be put into this new account, I was told that I had to pay 50% cash! Apparently, this store is not a part of Les Schwab corporate. Why didn't someone tell me that before I wasted hours? I told them to put the current tires back onto my car. Not going back!! BTW, I went across the street to TireRama, filled out a credit app, got approved for $2,500 and ordered the snow tires - they will be installed on Monday! read more

On my way from North Fork to MSO I had a flat on my rental car and just made it the 50 miles on the spare to the Les Schwab shop in Hamilton. They were amazing! Les Schwab has gone completely downhill since they were bought out. My family have been loyal customers ever since the store was built but the last couple years we've dealt with complete nonsense and enough is enough. I called 3 different times in 2 days to get a price on an exact set of tires and was told 3 different prices. When the tires finally showed up they installed them without telling me they were the wrong size. They didn't even bother asking if a similar metric size was ok. They just hoped I wouldn't notice. They are at least 15-20% higher priced than anywhere else. I was ok paying a little more when the service was good but it no longer is. read more

We took our truck in to get a front end aliment. It came out with a shimmy it didn't have when we took it in. Plus the whole computer system got reset. Why it was just a front end aliment why touch the computer. Plus the truck still pulls to the left. After spending $120 you would think they would get it right. I guess not. read more

I have been going to Les Schwab for years. No more. If you want a Falken or Toto truck tire that they need to order, LS marks up the price approximately $180 per tire. If you order the tires yourself and take them to LS for mounting and balancing they will charge $224. Tire Rama charges $164. Goodbye Les Schwab! read more

Ridiculous wait time! I took in ONE lawnmower tire at 9am and after waiting 3+ hours and nagging them all I got was excuses, excuses, and more excuses. I don't care what the reason is, 3 hours for one tire is ridiculous. After 2 hours I was told it would be "about 30-min more". An hour later I was still waiting and was then told it hadn't even been started yet. When I had finally had enough and became angry, the tire was fixed in less than 10-min. I've been buying tires and batteries for my vehicles from this Les Schwab for years, but I'm done them. NEVER again. read more

The only reason they still get lots of business is the name and what it means to people like me (older). Go down the street to Tire Rama and get a GOOD deal. I saved $275 / off $765 that Schwab quoted for winter tires. They are impatient and unfriendly here, not what it used to be. read more

Got new tires today. The technician jammed the dust shields into the drive shaft & didn't fix it even after 2 visits. I noticed a terrible grating scraping noise after picking up the car. I took it back and was told it was just ice (shouldn't they have removed the ice when the new tires were put on?) They took it back to the bay and came back 40 minutes later said it was fixed. 1 block from the store it was still making the same grating noise. I drove it to the Stevensville store and they found that the dust shield on the brakes was jammed into the drive shaft. In addition, Hamilton told me I needed brakes but I don't. The classic cheat a female. The front desk staff, Lexie, was very rude. Also the Hamilton store was going to warranty the brakes which only have 17k miles (warranty is 25k or 3 years). Said they don't for other stores. The techs entered the mileage wrong (as 25k not 200k) and was accused of it not being the same car... Terrible service, rude employees, damaged vehicle, horrible experience. Stay away from this location. read more

Called ahead. Just needed a rotation. They told me on the phone they were slow, and would be able to get my car in immediately when I got there. Checked in, gave them my keys, waited for 55 minutes before anyone even touched my car. I even watched three guys stand at the front desk for about twenty minutes scratching their @$$es with no customers. Checked in again to let them know I was in a rush and could come back later if need be. They said my car was next up and would be going in within 2 minutes. My car didn't move until 30 minutes later. If I'd had even a clue that it was going to be well over an hour, I would've obviously arranged to drop my car off and pick it up later. This was my first and will be my last experience with Hamilton Les Schwab. read more

This place is amazing. We were in town from Miami visiting MT and our right tire started making a horrible squeaking noise. They took the tire off and found a rock inside the wheel. The employees were all happy it wasn't anything more serious. They didn't charge us at all. Very satisfied with their service and staff. read more

Classic chain tire shop. Average skilled employees who don't go above and beyond, likely no fault of their own, they just aren't the best mechanics. Brought my vehicle in for a service, they stated it couldn't be done. I brought it to Jerry's down the street and they did it with no issue. Tires are also priced pretty high. I'd recommend purchasing off the internet. No reason a tire should be $75 more than from discount tire direct.com. Which doesn't even include installation at $40 a tire read more

All I have to say is Jimmy is the man! Was traveling through town and caught a flat, brought the tire to Les Schwab, told 30-45 mins, got a cheeky Americano in, discovered a gorgeous park with moose, goose and god know what other beautiful earthly beings, and upon return I was told that there would be no charge. To Jimmy I say, from Louisiana to Montana, they're lucky to have you and if you ever decide to return home, we will take you back with open arms. Les Schwab temps rouler!!! read more

I love Les Schwab as a whole, as a company. But Jerry Wessell's is not one of them. I dropped my vehicle off for a flat repair and I was told I would be called when it was done. 5 hours later I had to call to see what the status was and was "accidentally" hung up on not once, but twice. The second time whoever answered said they didn't know if it was a straight repair or if other work was done. I never got a call back after I was hung up on. I called back a third time, only to be told oh sorry it actually hadn't been done yet. It'll be ready in about an hour. Are you kidding me?! I was told it was done when it wasn't, and not only that, it was supposed to be done by noon. Not 3 in the afternoon. If I had been called and updated like I was told I would, I wouldn't have cared. But this was ridiculous. read more

I've had multiple encounters with this Les Schwab. I will no longer be going there unless I absolutely have to. Over the 5 years of coming here, I have had my car returned to me with broken and cracked hub caps that were not replaced. The first time I noticed, is when my care was ready for pick up and was parked around the corner across the street. I now have to buy four new ones to have them all replaced. It's easy to see that working at this place is stressful, the workers never seem happy. Sometimes they are helpful and sometimes they are rude. Lexi especially, I do not care for. I've had a few encounters with her and the last conversation over the phone with her was the last. I had dropped my car off to get an alignment. I can't do an appointment, so for 4 years I have done a drop off and walked to work. That way they had all day to fit me in for an alignment. I called at 8am to tell them my car was out front and what it needed. Lexi tells me I needed an appointment. I told her I have never made an appointment; I've always dropped off without a problem. She rudely tells me-So you just expected your car to be worked on without an appointment. I started going to another Les Schwab, they have all been very pleasant to work with. I told them my reasons for switching to that location and they proceed to tell me how they hear a lot that thier location has very nice staff. Much better than Hamilton. I could go on about all my experiences but you get the idea! read more

I was visiting from out of town and got nails in both of my back tires (thanks a lot Montana). They patched both tires pretty quickly....and then didn't charge me for the work! They just asked that I consider giving them my business when it's time for new tires. Both staff members I dealt with were friendly and professional. What awesome customer service! read more

Out of towner, needed quick tire repair. Staff was extremely helpful, quick, and didn't even charge for my tire repair! They even had a phone battery charger, and popcorn while I waited. everyone was so incredibly friendly and nice. Definitely Recommend them!!! read more

My husband bought snow tires here on his truck, that was okay. We brought our van in for 4 studded snow tires, they were installed, they told us it needed new brakes on the rear. Had been working fine. Made an appt, got rear brakes replaced for $600+. Have had a squeaking noise since, when braking. Called, was told there was a "break- in time" and that the noise was normal. Went back in 4 weeks to get the snow tires swapped out, and brakes checked (still squeaking). Was told the brakes were fine, that we needed rear wheel bearings replaced, referred us to M &M transmissions to replace the bearings. Made an appt with them, dropped off the Van this Monday very early (8:30). Got a call, bearings are fine, problem is the brakes. Called LSchwab again, asked them to fix the problem, was assured they would pick up my Van from M&M (5 minutes away), and fix it, this was Monday morning. Called Tuesday, no one at L Schwab had a clue as to what I was talking about. Van was still at M&M. Finally got a manager on the phone, he said he would get it taken care of and call me when it was ready. Never got a call.. We were in Hamilton running errands, called them, they said Van was ready. I was so angry, I stayed in the truck while hubby retrieved the Van. It is not fixed!! The brakes still squeak, and now my Van that is such a smooth ride, has a bad front end shimmy over 60 mph. It drove perfectly yesterday morning. To say we are unhappy is a huge understatement!! read more
