The customer service at this location was great! I bought new rims for my Tesla and needed tires put on. Kaej, Eli, and Nick helped me, they were super friendly, informative, and worked with me to get the best deal on the tires for my car. They got me in and out and did an amazing job! Another team member, Ben even went the extra mile and wrapped up my old wheels/tires in bags so my car wouldn't get dirty when taking them on my ride back home. Terrible service. Took 1.5 hours out of my day to have them align my car, told them before hand that I hit a curb and possibly something was bent, and they said okay we'll check it out and give you an alignment. 1 hour is how long I waited, they took the car in and looked at it for 5 minutes only for them to tell me they can't align it because of a liability issue? And saying that it could have been in an accident when I already told them what happened. Overall, do not go to les Schwab, you might be better off doing it yourself since they can't. read more

So I was having steering wheel issues about a year ago maybe less, took it in thought maybe my brakes were maybe sticking or something was off with my alignment (which i had gotten done the DALLAS, OR location 1 month prior). They couldn't find anything but told me i needed new brakes and tires so i went ahead and did it got those replaced on my front end. It was roughly $850. They told me it would be done by the end of the day, i called maybe an hour prior to them closing and they hadn't even started on it yet so they kept it overnight which i was very frustrated at because that is not what is promised, they didn't promise their discount as they did over the phone either due to this inconvenience on their end. Basically i needed a whole new power steering column (obviously should've went to dealer but didn't think that was the issue) I get that done. Now fast forward I started working for a dealership got my front end brakes redone because LS pads are very cheap and had tons of life but were making loud squeaking noises and the technicians had my tire off and everything and there was 2 missing bolts that connect my Calipers and rotors so clearly someone here did not do their job properly at all and could've put me in danger which i think is completely unacceptable especially when it comes to someone's driving operations. I don't know if they've got new faces here but i would still would never ever recommend to anyone coming to this location they clearly seem like they need more training for the services that they provide and will try to upsell you on. Completely unacceptable and unprofessional. ADDITION EDIT- There is now a crack on the bottom half of my ball joints, potentially caused by the the extra strain from these missing bolts read more

literally sitting here 1 hour and 5 minutes after my appointment for them to tell me they haven't done the alignment, or rotated the tires. They just had enoughtime in that hour to access those tires and try to sell me $900 worth of new tires on a car that isn't even 6 month old yet. It'd be funny if it wasn't a waste of time. Editing to add they left a bunch of metal parts in my car with no explanation; apparently when I bought my car it car with a locking lugnut for the tires and I don't know why but they swapped it out for the locking one and now the lugnuts on my tires don't match. No idea why they would do this without asking first because I didn't want it done, but for real don't leave random car parts in my car I'm a nurse not a car person I have no idea what it is and it's really disconcerting to find random car parts on you seat. read more

Came in on Monday 3/21 noticing I had a tire that was slightly low since I was heading out of town I wanted to make sure there wasn't a bigger issue. It was fixed (nail in tire) after almost 2 hour wait but it was fixed yay! Got home and looked at my car... I'm missing one of my special ordered valve caps on a tire that didn't have the nail in it. And all of my tires were over inflated. Sad that I'm missing one of my orange valve cap and will now have to order a whole new set. read more

had a tire that would go flat in about a week, took to Les swab on Lancaster, fixed with a patch, now it goes flat in a day, took the tire back to Les swab said they can't warranty it cause they had to patch where it was already patched, told me I had to buy a new tire, told them they were the ones who put the patch on and the tire is only 6 months old!!!! they said sorry, we can't fix it. took my tire pissed off to a second shop they said they would fix it no problem, been driving on that tire ever since!! Martin at Les Schwab tire Center in South Salem was above and beyond what is the best customer service people I've ever dealt with. Imagine dropping a family member off for chemotherapy treatment which she would need to pick them back up within five hours, getting a warning message on your dash that your right front tire was low and upon taking it to the tire store find out that the inner steel cords are showing through on the tire? that tire can't be patched and your car be put back on the road. You need a new tire. Then, imagine getting a phone call from the surgeon who just did a surgery on you telling you that you needed to immediately drive 55 miles to his office to see him right away because it appears as though the surgery has an infection now. That office is 55 miles away. No, imagine you only have $15 in your bank account because you're waiting for two checks to arrive and your credit isn't the best. So you're in REAL TROUBLE. He understood the catastrophic events that were happening at the time to me, put on a good used tire to get me to my doctors appointment and help me get my brother back from chemotherapy safely home. He told me with no "proof that I would ever return the tire back" to "go ahead and borrow it and use it to help get me where I need to go but please just bring the tire back when you're ready to put the new front tires on." Had a slow leak in one of my tires and I did see one nail head when I stopped to add more air, it was after 5:30 and they close at 6:00 but got me in and actually discovered a second nail as well. Patched up and out of there shortly after 6 and even though I purchased these tires over 5 years ago, since it was from a Les Schwab there was no charge. Can't recommend this company enough, have gotten most of my tires for several cars through the years from them at various locations, and always pleased with quality and service provided. read more

Stopped in when the parking lot was empty and I thought tire rotation and balance would be fairly quick. 3 people were in the waiting area when I reached the front counter to ask how long it would take to balance and rotate my tires, the manager stated it wouldn't take more than an hour. They got my keys and 35 min later my truck rolled into a bay for balance and rotation. I got my keys back 1Hr and 20min after they received them. I was a little disappointed it took them so long when quoted "no longer than an hour" and no more than 4 other customers were there the entire time I was there, actually at one point me and one other person were the only two there. Just note whatever service you go here for will take longer than told or expected. Tires were balanced and rotated as expected. read more

Recently I went in to fix a screw in my tire and after waiting 2 hours they told me I need to buy all new tires. They were very short with me when I asked why and wouldn't explain themselves. They handed me a paper with 2 over priced options and that's all. Fortunately I've found a great honest mechanic that explained AWD tires all need replaced if 1 goes bad. He gave me several options and was all done in half the time. I had a 5 star rating for a long time for Shuab, but the last year or so they've shown they don't want my business. read more

No issue with actual service but so frustrated by company set up for tire rotations. You should be able to make an appointment that actually functions like a real appt or at least within 30 min of set appt time or create set up for quick service like a Jiffy Lube. Customers shouldn't have to not know how long things will take for something so simple and have to take time off work to get service bc it can take HOURS to get service done. Somehow there should be a separate arrangement available for preventative, maintenance service versus emergency or urgent. read more

I was down in Oregon for business and was staying in Salem Friday night hoping to see a client Saturday morning and then dropping in on another client in downtown Portland before making the long drive home to Seattle. Knowing that the weather was iffy and hoping to come in early enough to get ready for an evening out with my wife and friends which we had planned early in the week, it was up early and hit the road. After placing the bags in the car and walking to the drivers side, what did I see a flat rear left tire. So sure enough it was time to get the spare and fix the tire, 200 plus miles on a little doughnut was not going to work. After AAA changed my spare, kudos to P&M Towing, I asked where I should go to get my tire looked at. The P&M guy gave me a couple of options but said that he had a good personal experience with Les Schwabs down the street. So off to the 2350 Mission St SE | Salem, OR 97302-1247 Location where the manager Don was there to greet and ask what I needed. After telling him my problem and having him ask all the right questions as to was I local, what I needed and what needed to happen later in the day. He queued me up and as I waited my turn I was confident that I was going to have the job done right, but what I did not know was that after they finished patching the flat tire, checking all the pressure in the other 3 tires, driving my car up to the front of the store........I was asked to sign that the work was done and to my amazement, was not charged for the wonderful service they provided. They sent me on my way quickly and safely, giving me a businessman on a schedule confidence and peace of mind that it is indeed a safe and very special place we live in. I picked up a screw in a tire the night before our visit. Rather than drive 1000+ miles on a gorilla glue'd screw (late night quick fix) we were on the way home looking for a tire shop and saw this one right off the road. We pulled into the parking lot, before we could get halfway to the door, a peppy chap jogged out to ask us if he could help us. We explained the situation, gave him the keys, said he would have us taken care of in a few minutes. Waiting in the showroom area, we enjoyed some of the complimentary popcorn and TV. A few minutes later, he came in, gave us the keys back and told us to have a safe drive home. We looked at each other and back at him, asked where we paid, to which he replied, "no charge, just remember Les Schwab next time you need tires." he ran off before we could even tip him for his time. Customer service has gone downhill. They continue to tell me they have a $45 service cal and then she asks the manager and I am told "just this one time we will comp". I have had your batteries, tires and brakes on my cars for the last 16 years and I have always had excellent promised service. Not threats of huge expense for that service when you still advertise such great customer service. So far it is just this Store. The techs are still pleasant and efficient, however I will pay more for decent customer service and quality products, which is why in have always been a customer. No greeting, no outstanding customer service. I was told 1.5 hour wait for a flat repair and they pulled in my vehicle at 1 hour 40 min. I ran out of time to wait so I left. I always feel relieved when I see the manager, Don, behind the counter. Don has been there forever, and is completely trustworthy. My pickup rear brakes were giving me trouble and I was not sure what was happening. He listened to me and stated he thought it was a sticking caliper. Immediately, they put the truck up on the rack and checked it out. They were right and they showed me the problem. They had the parts in stock and in less than 2 hours, I was back on the road with new rear brakes. I try to buy all my tires here. read more

I waited an hour and 15 minutes longer than they said it would be, confused as to why it was taking so long, I asked for an update and they said it would be done soon so I proceeded to wait only to find out that when I had CLEARLY said I only needed two front tires replaced, they had replaced all 4. I was not charged for the two back tires that they mistakenly replaced as they took them off and put my old tires back on, however I was not given any compensation for the extra hour+ of my time that they wasted. They were also able to put the two back tires back on my car in a matter of 15 minutes, when it took them 2 entire hours to do all 4 before. I will not be going back here. read more

My family and I were driving up from California when we found out that the brakes needed immediate attention and repair. We thought that the brake had to completely replaced, but to our surprise, they told us it was very fixable. We took their word for it, and they were able to finish everything in a relatively effective manner as promised. They didn't charge us that much for the repair even when they had to add new parts, so prices were affordable. We received some of the most professional service out here and the car functioned very well afterwards. The best part was we were able to continue our road trip to Seattle. They gave me a free brake check while I was getting a new tire put on and determined that I needed new brakes (this was in September). I politely declined and went to another Les Schwab location a month later to set up a brake repair. That location checked my brakes and asked why I was getting them replaced as they would be good for at least another 4,000 miles. So I drove another 4,000 miles and took my car to Firestone downtown for a brake repair. Again, I was asked why I wanted my brakes repaired as they were in great condition. Les Schwab is fine for tires but they will rip you off as far as brakes go. Always get a second (even third) opinion. read more

I recently got my oil changed and tires rotated at my car's dealership and when I left I noticed my car was shaking terribly when driving on the highway. I went into apes Schwab the next day and they ran tests, balanced my tires, and had ordered a part that would all help make it run more smoothly. Leaving there, my car already was night and day different (back to how it was before I originally got it serviced). Now today, I am going back in to get the additional part installed (all for free) and they are all just the best people! It's an ok store. We came here to get our tires rotated but two of them were beyond rotation and we had to buy one. They only had one used one in stock. Normally in the past they would contact other local stores to see if there was another used one in town so we could get both replaced. However this time they said we had to do the calling which confused me because they have done this before in the past for us and the store was dead with all the employees just standing around. I also find their tire prices to be on the high side compared to virtually any other tire store in town. We used to only go to Les Schwab exclusively but now that all their tires are made in China (not a single USA made tire sold anymore) and their service has gone downhill and prices gone up, we usually shop around now. read more

My brakes had been making a squeaking noise. So I took my car in to Les Schwab Tire Center. They check my brakes out for free. I had to wait about 20 mins or so. They told me nothing was wrong with my brakes, something they just making noises. They also let me know that my tires were going to need to be replace soon. One of my tires popped, quickly deflating. I was .6mi from the nearest Les Schwab so i made my way quickly while i had air. I arrived shortly before closing and pulled in, explaining to the employee what happened. Within 10 minutes he let me know the tire was under warranty and they would be replacing it at no cost. This place is friendly, fast and trustworthy. A few years back we bought a car from a friend which picked up a nail in the tire. My wife took it to Les Schwab, they fixed it for free. Apparently the tires had been purchased there........I don't think they had to do that. I needed new breaks and was shopping around to find the best price. I should've just left my car with Don at Les Schwab on Mission St in Salem. After getting misquoted and over quoted at a few other places in town, I took my car back to Les Schwab and they fixed my breaks in about an hour for about $200 less than the other places I visited. I wish I could remember the guy's name who actually fixed my breaks but he was awesome. I took my car back a week later to get new tires and had door to door shuttle service to my office. Top notch. Not like other places I've had work done. They got my car on the rack first thing and were done 20 minutes before promised. Extra bonus - they have free wifi, so I could work in the waiting room during my short wait for an alignment and two front tires. The tech took the time to explain the alignment angles and results to me. Being a former ASE Master Tech myself, I appreciated that transparency. Price was fair and maybe I misunderstood on the phone, but was cheaper than I remember the phone quote being. Being a former professional auto tech, I'm leary of other folks working on my car because I know the quality of some individuals in the field, I now know where to go for my tire and alignment needs. They have a specific employee who is one of their techs I believe, Nick is his name and he is an awesome person to deal with!
