So disappointed! Brought my vehicle in last week because of a slight hesitation I felt when accelerating that triggered a check engine light (p300). After the alleged diagnostic test I was informed that I would need to have my fuel injectors replaced. To complete the service it was also mandatory that I have my spark plugs replaced (which had already been replaced) along with some sort of "air induction service " for a grand total of $2540.36. Picked up my vehicle a few days later only to experience the exact same issue minus the check engine light which returned the next morning. I brought the vehicle back & was told that the mechanic would inspect it "with a fine toothed comb". About a half hour later I received a call informing me that my issue could be 1 of many other things and was told that I could just pick my vehicle up after expressing that I was not interested in any other services that I would be charged for. I feel bullied and robbed. No compensation for anything. What was the point of the "diagnostic testing "? I do not recommend this place to anyone under any circumstances. read more

I do not like to leave reviews, especially bad ones, but my experience has been so frustrating with this shop i was inclined to share. Vehicle: Completely restored inside and out 2000 Toyota 4Runner SR5 3.4L. Looks and runs like a new one. 290,000 miles. I took my Toyota 4Runner in the first time to replace a valve cover gasket and walked out with broken airbox. Second time I went to have a license plate light short repaired and walked out with a interior water leak above rear passenger door. I am not one to place blame, although both incidents either were a huge coincident, or something went wrong in the repair process. The airbox was fine prior to repair appointment, and the air box hose from the factory was completely severed from the air box. It would of not been drivable. They duck taped it together. The water leak may be a different story, due to recent rear door body weather strip replacements, although still quite the coincident. The vehicle went in twice to fix the water leak above the rear passenger door, at no charge, although the second visit they refused to do the repair and referred me to a body shop. To conclude, I paid to replace the airbox and I still have a water leak that needs to be corrected, and may cost hundreds or even thousands to inspect and repair. read more

Do not bring your business to Ledoux's. I brought my 2007 VW rabbit in to have them simply replace the alternators clutch pulley. They said they had time to work on it that day. I didn't hear from them for 3 days. When I finally called they said they hadn't had time to figure out a quote for the work done. They called me back and quoted me $2,000 for all sorts of random services like an oil change and blower motor replacement. I never asked for a full diagnosis of the car. They also said they would need to replace the entire alternator and couldn't just replace the part which is bullshit. I told them not to touch it anymore and that we would be coming in to pick it up. When we got there my car was completely out of gas. My family has been coming to this shop for years but I will not be back. read more

Absolutely DO NOT go here. Overcharges, Doesn't get all of the parts for the repair, Holds you vehicle hostage for 6+ weeks on a 2 week repair, Tells you that you will only pay for parts when you are towing it to another shop and then tries to charge you for everything under the sun. Doesn't put all the parts needed for the repair that was paid for in the vehicles so now have to go buy new parts.. Makes excuses and tries to guilt trip. Absolutely terrible shop that I will tell everyone under the moon to not go to. Abosolutely terrible. Adding in the fact that if you leave a bad review they will block you and claim you are leaving a fake review with misinformation. Terrible business read more

I set an appointment for diagnostics to resolve a high idle problem (1300 RPM in park) after replacing a TBS and cleaning Throttle Body, over $600 later and replacing the Idle Control Valve, I still have a high idle and original problem not solved. UPDATE: Within one day of service I have check engine lights on for Idle Control Valve Circuit Malfunction AND Knock Sensor Circuit Failure AND a high Idle. UPDATE: Engine lights have gone off, but high idle remains. Very frustrating! Now that I am not sure I can trust them, am looking for another reliable shop and see if they can find the problem...$$$$. I will say the owner Gary was very nice guy, but wished would of agreed to find the problem without further charges since I did pay them to diagnose the high idle. read more

Had a grinding noise and my front right wheel was vibrating every time I went in reverse. I was afraid it would be something with the axle or drive shaft. Called several places around Salem, most shops were 1-2 or even 3 weeks out, which I would have hard a hard time with, as I only have the one car, and work full time on the other side of town. LeDoux's was able to to get in in, inspect it, and then fix the issue the day after I called them to ask about it. Turns out my brake caliper was broken, and these guys took care of it in a speedy, friendly, professional, and inexpensive manner. Very pleased, and definitely will come back to them for any other issues... They also texted me a couple days later to make sure everything had gone to my satisfaction and nothing was still having any problems. read more

Extremely friendly service. They followed up as they said they would. They stayed in regular contact with updates. Explained in detail my questions. They were faster than anticipated. It was expensive, however I had several things and not just a minor fix. I would say they are comparable and their work is guaranteed with a warranty for 3 years (at least for what i had done). I was happy with the way my car drove after all the repairs. I feel they did a great job. I will take my Jeep back to them for my next repair and maintenance. read more

These people are unbelievably nice.... at first. Until you realize they haven't told you the WHOLE story. Once they got you locked in for some money... THEN you find out all the details. But only once you are locked in. Not upfront at all even if Tony gives the impression that he is (he was charging $700+ and we found somewhere else that does it for $180). Eh, there are honest shops out there, but it's a needle in a haystack. 2 stars for the lady at the desk. At least she can maintain her nice persona the whole time. Obviously we're never going there again. We found the ad on Craigslist. That might have been our first clue that they'd be shady. Live and learn. One last word. The owner himself... Brought my car in last month for an oil change and vehicle inspection which was long overdue. Oil change was completed and the vehicle inspection did comeback with issues which we anticipated. I hadn't properly maintained it for awhile, thankfully nothing major. The quote for the repair work was cheaper than another shop I asked for an estimate. I hade service done on a cooling system leak repaired. I went pretty well. I had to call in a few times and push them to repair the actual problem I had my daughter bring her can in for. They did find it and replace the radiator cap. Approximately 3 weeks later she had a transmission code come one. I had recently had the cooling lines replaced and specifically asked them to check the fluid level before they did any other work and to contact me with the fluid level check first. My daughter reittereated that to them when she dropped it off. I also specifically asked them if they were able to troubleshoot and had experience her exact make and model of car's transmission, they said yes. They called me and said that they found 2 trouble codes, we already told them what those codes were. I asked if they checked the fluid level and they said that common sense says that they codes they found eliminated the need for the fluid check, this just not true. After pushing them on why they wouldn't check the level, the only reason I brought it in, they said they did not have the proper diptick tool and the scale that indicated the correect level at a given temp, its a 12 dollar tool and i have it in my garage. He then also told me that almost no one works on these CVT transmissions or rebuild them anymore. #1 the transmission is not a CVT, and #2 the dodge 42TE is in 10's of thousands of Chrysler, dodge, and jeep vehicles. They also told me that it had a thermostat code and was 1/2 gallon low on radiator fuid. I asked him if they found any leaks, he said no. I then stated when you worked on it 3 weeks ago your tech left it 1/2 gallon low! His only response was that they just report the codes to me...I was like I will just pick it up. They were incompetent and unprofessional. I will never trust them agian. read more

I took my truck in to Ledoux's to have it checked out because it was running rough and stalling out on me. I was greeted by Dick who was very friendly and attentive. He got Mark the master mechanic to listen to my symptoms and ran it through a series of extensive tests and found a loose plug and long story short was able to get me on the road again. Excellent service, fair and honest. Just needed a brake light replaced, but asked about a tire pressure light that was acting haunted, going off and on. I really appreciated his response, which was to just wait until I had tires replaced, as it would have been pricey and wasn't necessary, and that would likely fix it. My rear window was not working, the glass moved freely but you could here the motor. I was quoted 800.00 (I found out 200.00 MORE than the dealer). I said I could not afford the repair at this time and he charged me 118.30 for his diagnostics which was the widow assembly needed replacing. Daaaa. I can't say enough nice things! Loooong story short- My A/C stopped working while on vacay in southern Oregon over the 4th, had a shop look at it there, 2 hours later, it wasn't fixed and they were perplexed, 130 bucks down the drain! I get home, called 12 other shops in Salem, none could fit me in within 2 weeks and their quotes to just take a look were 200-450! Then I called Tony, here at ledoux's- he had me bring it right in, even though they were busy. He was so nice and not condescending, he listen to what I was explaining and didn't try to make assumptions. They got it in and a couple hours later, found that the compressor had failed and needed to be replaced. Tony then called my extended warranty and even though they didn't want to pay for pretty much anything, eventually, with a lot of patience on his part and multiple calls, the majority was covered. Then he had to find the parts, which was another struggle! My van is a 2016 and this is a rare failure, I guess, cause no one had the compressor and we had to get it shipped in. Anyway. They did not charge me a single penny for the diagnostic work (over 2 hours!), gave me a ride to and from, were empathetic, kind and friendly throughout my entire experience. As soon as the parts came, they got me in and did impeccable work! Angela is a ball of sunshine and kept making sure myself and my 3 kiddos, had snacks, drinks and good conversation. In the end, my out of pocket costs were less then 1/4 of my initial quote and that is all thanks to Tony! I will be coming to this shop for all my car needs from now on! read more

I would never go here again! They literally charge twice the amount for the work done as other shops here in town. After charging us a $98 "diagnostic" fee and wanting $455 to replace A Water PUMP! we told them to stop work on the car. We called around and got average quotes for this work at around 200-225. We ended up paying another shop $225 to get this done. We were also concerned these guys were trying to find "extra" work to do on this car to pad there paycheck! If you don't mind getting screwed then this is the place to go. read more
