My doctor is very good. BUT the practice is managed very poorly, dangerously in my opinion…read more Messages to your doctor are read by / replied to by various office staff. I've had two significant issues with communications to my doctor. My most recent experience was that the office staff did not know my doctor had changed my medication and didn't convey that to me when I reached then (a day after the new medication was sent to the pharmacy). Two different office staff were contentious about having the nurse call me back. I insisted. When we spoke I discovered that my doctor had changed my medication. The people reading and answering the emails on MyChart had no clue what my doctor had done or either they neglected to let me know of the changed medication. In addition, they created a post dated email chain to cover their oversight. Any of these is unacceptable if you are to believe you're communicating with and being cared for by your doctor or their nurse. Practice management at Coventry Primary Care RISKS patients' health, IMHO. My doctor is great.., BUT if you want to be assured that the intended doctor or nurse received your communication, in my experience, it must be by US mail since it"s unlawful to open mail addressed to someone else. Using MyChart, there is no telling who reads the email you think you're sending to your doctor or whether the message you needed to get to them was ever delivered. Oh, and there is no calling the practice directly. All calls are routed through an offshore call center that you must go through and they determine whether or not you can talk to someone in the practice. Again, only my experience, my opinion. But based on two significant issues revolving around poor and inaccurate communication, I would look elsewhere for a doctor.

We are transitioning my oldest sons over from pediatrician to Covenant Primary Care this year. Needless to say, we are happy with the healthcare provided by Covenant Internal Medicine. Dr. Mathias takes a genuine interest in the patient as a person and builds a relationship with his patients and not just treating their health symptoms in an impersonal manner. He is a good man of strong Christian faith. I have found him to be confidential, caring and easy to talk with or even pray with if needed. We could not be more pleased with our physicians and staff at Covenant Internal Medicine.

When I suggested that he implement better time management practices to accommodate all of his patients, he told me that he would NOT rush his patients--as if I wasn't a patient. Then he told me to go to my other appointments! An apology for his lateness was never received--as if my time and schedule was unimportant. Never have I experienced such treatment from any doctor. Needless to say, I'll never return.

The Cypress Internal Medicine - Patewood group are the primary providers for my daughter and son-in-law and we reached out to them for help. I was given a appointment in a very reasonable time frame and saw Joanna S. Reeves, FNP-C. I could not have chosen a better provider. she is a very intelligent, compassionate person who did not rush me at all throughout the visit. she covered all my areas of concern and helped to co-ordinate my necessary follow-up care. Not only was she wonderful, but the entire office staff was very pleasant with lovely smiles and a very helpful attitude. In short this office is everything that I could ask in a primary care office. I did not mention that I am a retired physician and perhaps more critical and demanding of physicians service. Even with this fact, they are a superlative office. I will be using them when ever I am in SC as I visit my family here frequently.

Brio was recommended to us by our friends who go there. They could not say enough good about Brio,…read moreand we totally agreed with them once we went. Their facility is very modern and professional, and very inviting from the moment you walk in. My husband and I were treated so graciously, offered waters, (who does that anymore?) and did not wait more than 10 minutes to see our nurse practitioner Holli Johnston. She took her time to get to know us and our health, and did not make us feel rushed at all. She got to know us on a personal level before doing any health information and questions. She really genuinely cared for us as individuals first before anything else was addressed. We have been with Brio a year, and Holli. They always get us timely appointments, and we could not be more pleased with the care and compassion that has been given us. I would give Brio a 10 rating if they had it! And Holli is the best!!

Cannot recommend this practice. Claudia Johnson (provider)…read moreseemed knowledgeable for the most part, when i went for a simple annual wellness check, but referred me for further tests, which proved both unnecessary and expensive. I am a healthy male by objective standards. Blood pressure and weight in the healthy range. On NO heart, weight or blood pressure medications. My real issue was being required to provide all my insurance information in advance before the appointment... sending digital images of my cards, and then receiving a $1,273 out of pocket charge bill, including more than $500 for an initial office visit charge. A ~ $75 X-ray charge seemed reasonable though for a toe that I had stubbed and seemed to be slow and healing. I declined the referral for physical therapy on the toe. SMH. I called the office to discuss the exorbitant bill. And explained that I thought medicare would cover almost everything in it. They acted like they didn't know.I said I would be following up with medicare myself and expected they would be doing the same. Called back a month later and found out they'd dropped the ball again. And nothing had been done to confirm the amounts that medicare allowed. They acted like they didn't know I had insurance, and Medicare coverage. Of course.I got the run around saying it was the claims department fault, not billing department's fault. I reminded "Casey" that this reflects negatively on the doctor. I asked who should be held accountable, and she didn't like the question or the way she was being talked to so she hung up on me.
