The home is approximately 30 years old and it would appear that none of the prior owners really undertook significant efforts. The lynchpin of the room was a floor to cathedral ceiling fireplace (that once was red brick painted white). It was a massive structure and cried "old, replace me, please!!!". I had many "restrictions"... there were pieces I couldn't bear to part with (a chair that was my favorite from the year my son was born) ... and I was not a window treatment person. Stan and Andrea showed amazing talent, patience and budgetary discipline. The results are stunning. The new fireplace is a centerpiece -- and a work of art! The entryway features a ersatz Chihuly that is just "to die for". Every piece of furniture, every fabric, every texture was so carefully vetted and chosen to bring exactly the right balance of warmth and modernity to the room. That old chair? It got given a radical rebirth and remains, to this day, my favorite piece of furniture. Window treatments? Sign me up as long as the Mussmans are coordinating. And the color scheme is au courant but will age well for the next ten years. I would recommend Stan and Andrea to the most discerning homeowner seeking a revitalized -- but completely livable -- look in any room of the home!
