I came here and asked the manager Michael for a bag of sand. He told me to drive around to the back of the store and he would place the sand bag in my car. I drove there did not see him, and proceeded to tell me that he left a 50lb bag near cement and I should put this in my car, and I am handicap with pins connecting the right side of hip to my right knee. Later that day I returned with a liner that Leslie's Pools sent with my pool order and it was too small for my pool and the manager did not refund or assist with calling corporate for the refund. I am now out of money and stuck with a pool that cannot be used. read more

After going to Leslie's for a few years for initial water testing I found that they do not give the correct information or try to over sell you on products. On one test they said that I had a HIGH level of phosphates and based on that level I would have to completely drain the pool again or at least get half of the water out. I looked online for a phosphate remover at heavy levels and found something. Since Leslie's had such a bleak forecast for me I did not think it would work but was worth a try. Well, within a week my phosphate level was totally normal and this year when I opened the pool once again normal. I am now dealing with a smaller pool company and they have told me that they get many complaints about Leslie's and they have heard the "you have to drain the pool" from many customers. Will not go there any longer. read more

I brought my pool pump because it was leaking and failing, Mike took it apart right away, replaced the gaskets that were causing the leaks, gave me advice on further action and charged me only for the parts. Here we are having an exciting summer and unfortunately, our pool filter goes. Totally sucks. I don't usually go to your store cause you are over priced, but thought let's try it. So i go into the store, they don't have one in stock so the employee orders it for me. I pay for it, I am told it will be delivered in a week. I get a email saying to confirm. Confirm what I already paid for this!! Anyways my Husband does it and confirms.Then I get a email saying my order is canceled. What, I payed for this!!! Well many calls later hours wasted , some nice employees some very rude(Kara S in payment processing should be fired), I am told it goes through some 3rd party again I PAID FOR THIS!!!!! So now I have no pool filter have to wait for a refund and no more money. So THANK YOU for ruing my families summer. Your company could have made the wrong right. These guys are amazing!!! They know what they are talking about and their #1 priority is to help you not sell you stuff. Mike is a pool genius! We had after a filter blockage a completely green pool- after $1k with a hack pool company and no results, mike gave us the recipe and ingredient to shock our pool back to clear! He also inspired us to paint our pool black and recommends for heating the pool that will cost us next to nothing. I rarely write reviews, but I felt compelled thanks to the above-and-beyond service delivered by Michael at Leslie's Pool in Danbury. The story begins in June 2020 in Redding, CT when I realized that I needed a pool heater within 3 weeks. At that time, COVID was closing public pools, so the demand for private pool equipment, heaters included, was off the charts. All the local pool stores including Leslies had no heaters in stock, but Michael offered to call other Leslie's locations in case they had any inventory. Eventually, he found a store in California that had a heater and would ship it across the country at no charge! Michale then kept me abreast of the shipment and helped me schedule the installation team, which was swamped. Eventually, the heater arrived at the store, the installers arrived at our pool, and the heater was warming our pool with a few days to spare. They really weren't helpful and they were not busy at the time. Maybe having a bad day? My first time in that store. I told him my problem, all he did was check the water and give me a printout. My main issue was my pool is green. I showed him pictures but he was disinterested. Told me to decrease the ph but not how much soda ash to use so I had to figure it out myself. Never addressed the green problem. PH is fine, pool is still green. I'm ready to demolish my pool at this point because 6 weeks after uncovering and hundreds of dollars (actually over a thousand since I bought a new filter from Leslie too, plus running it around the clock) we still can't use the pool. Didn't have a great experience at this store. It was like I was bothering him. read more

Called the store on a Saturday morning because my Polaris cleaner wasn't working properly. I was in the store one hour later where Michael and Blake both repaired my Polaris onsite. Both Michael and Blake were amazing to deal with very knowledgeable about the Polaris. I would highly recommend these guys. read more

I was having a big problem with my pool pump. Not only did the guys make sure that I got the right part but they assisted me when I had trouble with the insulation. I can not say enough about the customer service I received from store manager Michael Biolsi when I brought my Polaris 9300 robot in for a wheel repair. The bushing would not come off because part of the wheel had broken off inside making removal next to impossible. Mike and his staff were kind and courteous (even offering my son a slice of pizza) while we waiting anxiously to see if the wheel could be removed without damaging the rest of the machine. After at least an hour or so of working on the problem, they were able to release the piece from the bushing and replace the wheel ~ all at NO COST to me. We didn't even buy the robot from them. We actually bought it from Newtown Pool Supplies, which is who I initially call and was told that there would be at least a $60.00 labor charge (I am sure it would have well exceeded that once they encountered the difficulty) and they inflated the parts cost by 50%. They would not even try to fix the problem unless I bought the parts from them. I bought everything online for half the price and took it to Leslie's Pools because I was told that they would make the replacement free of charge. For our next robot purchase and all of the rest of our pool needs I will be going to Leslie's Pools. The prices cannot be beat and the customer service was the most exceptional I have encountered in a long time. I rarely write Yelp reviews, but this was a standout that deserves to be read by anyone in my area that owns a pool. read more
