We only have great things to say about Dianne & extremely happy the girls are learning piano with her. We had the girls enrolled with another piano instructor prior but did not see them progress as well as they have with Dianne. My daughter took lessons from dianne for about a year before she/we had to move and the commute was no longer doable. However, within that year the lessons were great. Dianne is very understanding and relatable. She dis very well with my daughter and my daughter loved her lessons. She had (has) a good obvious connection with kids and is just generally a nice trusting person. She never rushes to push the lessons more than my daughter was able to grasp but was steady to make sure she understood everything moving at my girls pace. I was very sad when we had to stop the lessons but would recommened her as a piano teacher. My 6, now 7, year old daughter didnt know anything about a piano prior to her first lesson and now is able to play multiple songs and teach you a few things about composers and notes. I cannot say enough good things about Dianne! I always wanted to learn to play piano as a child but did not have the opportunity. My husband bought me a piano for my birthday last year, and by a stroke of luck I found Dianne. Now my sons (ages 10 and 7) and I take lessons weekly. Dianne is fun, inspirational, encouraging, energetic, and truly loves music. My sons have never complained about taking lessons. Rather, they rush to the piano when she comes, eager to play. Even if they don't always practice, she is always encouraging and inspires them through fun music rather than through lecturing them about practice. She knows everything from classical to rock and roll. We had our first recital this year and it was really neat to perform and see all her other students perform. Dianne is also a drummer so if you think she's an old fashioned boring teacher, think again! I feel so fortunate that Dianne has given our family the gift of music for years to come.
