Cons: Ultimately, Angela Floyd School is a business, first and foremost. It seems like this is more about bling, things being over the top, and photo opportunities for said business. We just got home from our daughter's spring recital. It was over three hours long. Many of these children were quite young, some even toddlers. The whole thing has just gotten way too big. Also, mass communication about details was really sloppy. I didn't like the fact that I couldn't ask my daughter's teacher things like, "What time does she need to be there for dress rehearsal and which time does she need to be picked up?" and she didn't know. Everything I asked, I was told, "Look in the booklet." The problem is, the booklet wasn't very clear in the way it was worded. No one seemed to know any direct answers regarding timing and logistical details about the tech rehearsals/recital. Also, they tell you to pack snacks for the dancers for these rehearsals. For the dress rehearsal, those kids were there for over SIX hours, and the only sustenance they had were snacks from parents and Honeycomb cereal provided by the dance school. No dinner. Not even pizza or anything like that. Same for the recital. When I went to pick her up afterward, a long line of parents were waiting for an incredibly long time for the kids to be released. Parents were forbidden anywhere at anytime outside of the auditorium area (which creeped me out a little bit.) For the longest time, I could literally see kids sitting down on the floor through the window and no one was guiding them to their parents. Finally, I walked over to the door, saw my daughter sitting there, and began knocking. Someone opened the door and I said, "I see my daughter right there, and we need to go." Thankfully, she called her over. After I did that, they finally starting releasing everyone else's kids. Additionally, parents were told that they weren't allowed to video record or take photos during the show. Umm...what?? They're reasoning was that they were already taking complimentary photos and a video. Fine. But allowing parents to take photos from their seats isn't going to impede anyone professional photographer from doing their job. It all felt very controlling and I heard from other parents that they felt like they were treated like cattle. I felt the same. The recital felt more like a PR event for the school than what was best for the kids. Sorry, but we're not going back.

I scheduled two appointments about two weeks apart with two different therapists since I didn't know who to choose. After my first massage (with someone else), I wasn't completely sold and almost canceled my second appointment. But I noticed the therapist I had booked next (Caylah Davis) already had glowing reviews, so I decided to give it a chance. I am SO glad I did. From the moment the session started, I could tell she was different. I'm someone who tends to live in my head and has a hard time fully relaxing, especially with a lot going on in my life lately. Somehow, Caylah completely pulled me out of that mental noise and into a true state of relaxation. That alone is a gift. Her techniques are incredible. She really listens to feedback about pressure and adjusts seamlessly. At one point, she used a combination technique massaging my arm and leg simultaneously, and I was absolutely entranced. The entire time I kept thinking, "She is so good. She is amazing. I'm recommending her to everyone I know." Selfishly, part of me hesitates to write this because I want all her appointments for myself, but she has absolutely earned the recognition. The fact that she is still in training is mind-blowing because she already works like a seasoned professional. I've been back two more times since that first session with her. On my most recent visit, I had done manual labor and came in extremely sore. She completely adjusted her technique and treatment plan to meet exactly what my body needed that day. That level of intuition and adaptability is rare. 100/10. Truly. Thank you, Caylah!! I can't wait for my next appointment. The ladies, to my right, celebrating a birthday, were friendly, laughing hysterically, wiping tears & taking photos saying "Three hours for this" (holding up their unrecognizable baked item as if to say 'all this- for this!') Despite following their instructions to arrive early, we were told we couldn't wait inside, and it was hot out! We completed the required waivers in advance as recommended, but we were met with annoyance instead of appreciation--almost as if our preparedness was an inconvenience. We made every effort to remain friendly, polite, and respectful, but her dismissive, cold and abrasive demeanor persisted to the point that we genuinely considered walking out before the class even began. What could have been a fun and memorable evening was completely derailed by her unprofessional conduct. We tried to make small talk, and I have a high tolerance for rudeness, but this was to a scale that I have never encountered. There were roughly 10 couples in the class, and as we began interacting with others, it quickly became clear that we weren't alone in our experience. Several guests shared similar complaints about her attitude and lack of courtesy. It wasn't just a bad day or a misunderstanding--this is a pattern. In addition to the customer service issues, the structure of the class itself was disappointing. We signed up expecting a hands-on cooking experience. While we were allowed to assist with some small tasks, the majority of the cooking was done by the chef. The setup seemed more geared toward encouraging guests to purchase additional drinks (which are not included) and to socialize, rather than actually teaching any meaningful culinary skills. Although we enjoyed the meal and met new people, I don't believe anyone left with the knowledge or confidence to recreate the dishes at home. While I understand that this format may help keep the evening on schedule, it wasn't what I paid for or hoped to experience. Given the premium price of the class, we expected a welcoming, professionally run event. Instead, we left feeling frustrated, disrespected and disappointed. I would not attend again, and I strongly discourage others from signing up until the owners--particularly the female co-owner--reevaluate how they engage with their guests or sell it to someone with people skills.
