The studio is sorely lacking, in my opinion. The narrow hallway and small waiting area make it nearly impossible to transition kids and parents in and out of the space, especially when there is no designated changing room and storage area for kids to leave their bags, clothes, street shoes, etc. And there is no viewing area for any parents that wait for their kiddos (unless you stand in the way and look through the open studio door. Classes are only 30 minutes, so it is not worth it to leave and come back. We do love that they work with families on the costs for classes and recital costumes and that there are two recitals per year at the local Grove Theater. The owners are very kind and energetic. I wish they had taught my daughter's class, which was instead taught by a high school student. I feel like the teen instructor, paired with a very short class session, made it so that my kiddo didn't really grasp any of the ballet basics during her time here. We appreciate the intro to dance and socialization our child had here, but she will be going to a different studio this year with comparable costs, a better studio space, and taught by adults.

There was a very nice young man (possible UT student) stationed at the underground parking garage who directed us to the entrance to the theater. Upon arrival, we were greeted by personnel at the lobby entrance who directed us towards the ushers, who awaited ticketed patrons at the theater doors. As you enter the actual performance theater, the seating arrangement becomes visually pleasing towards the stage. I found the seating to be quite comfortable and roomy, where people could actually get by, without you having to stand to allow them to past. There's also a concession area for refreshments which is a nice touch, if so desire. This theater brought great pleasure to a wonderful evening.

It's a great size for a small dramatic performance. There are restrooms on both sides and, like all theaters, a concession stand for drinks (alcoholic and non-alcoholic) and snacks. The automated ticket readers worked perfectly and it was easy to locate our seats. The seats were comfortable and had just the right amount of space between the rows to avoid having to stand every time someone passed by. The set (for Trouble In Mind) was amazingly realistic and helpful to understanding the play. The talent was outstanding too. However, the on-stage talent projects their voices without technical amplification, making it difficult to hear their lines at times. We were engrossed in the acting so much, that the 2-hours seemed to fly by. Afterwards, there was an informal reception in the lobby with food (because it was Opening Night). A very nice touch. Overall, it was a positive experience, and one that we would repeat.

I don't know where to begin. This studio claims to have a positive atmosphere but DO NOT be fooled…read more False rumors are spread by the "director" (if she really deserves that title) about her paying customers. She tells other dancers and dance parents these rumors to turn everyone against them. Hannah Hale makes claims things have happened when she knows for a fact she made it up. She is a liar. If she truly had an issue with a dancer, she should go directly to the parent, however, she did not because she knows she is making stuff up. She is honestly not experienced enough to be teaching dance either. She puts people in pointe shoes way too early and when they are not ready. She also puts people in pointe shoes that DO NOT fit. She will ruin your child's feet and confidence. There is a reason SO many people have left in the past few years. All of these positive reviews are left by Hannah Hale's posse. She has asked them to leave these false reviews to make her business look good. Also, the floors are extremely dirty and never cleaned. If you want yours or your child's feet to be black and COVERED in grime within thirty minutes... this might be up your alley. Please go to any other dance studio in Knoxville and save yourself.
