I'm familiar with a number of studios in SoFlo, and this is certainly one of the better ones, not only in terms of what is on offer, but also in terms of the space itself (note: as of the time I'm writing this, none of the photos here accurately reflect the studio itself; I'll post one when I have a chance...). At first I thought I came to the wrong location as I walked closer to the very posh signage and elegant window treatments, but to my pleasant surprise I was at the right place! The location serves multi-purpose for the tango lessons, socials, event rentals, and a coffee and wine bar. The location is gorgeous, and you can tell that the attention to the detail in every corner and in the branding is something that very very well reflects the quality of instruction at Tanda. I took the Level 1 class on Monday night, and it was a small enough class size where the 2 instructors, Alejandra and Adrian, were able to give us all adequate attention. They did a great job in breaking down the steps and answering any questions. I feel like we progressed pretty far as a group for it being a Level 1 class and my first class at this location. I definitely see myself coming back to continue my tango journey!

Everyone was so warm and welcoming at introduction, made me feel better but still out of my element. Our instructor / teacher was Dimitry, to say he was amazing is an understatement. From first 5 min in to our session I was no longer on edge.. I was actually having fun .. the entire class is fun and he never makes you come out of your comfort zone. Fast forward 2 lessons I was looking forward to my wedding and showing off my dance moves. I'm the worst author / narrator but trust me if you want to learn how to dance a special dance or just practice with famous dancers this is the place!!! First week was hard because my daughter had never been at kindergarten or anywhere without me, so when I left she was crying. But main trainer Beth warned me that it is normal behavior for kids. During whole our experience she was super nice, understanding and supporting and left only positive emotions about this place as another trainer Maria. I am highly recommend this place because there are not only gymnastics, but play time, crafts and other entertaining fun stuff.

I came in this morning to do the 8:30 AM class on a guest…read morepass and I insured with two people yesterday over the phone (one was Jeffrey) that I would be able to just walk in as I wasn't going to have time to do a tour or anything like that and if I like the class, I was just going to sign up for the membership. I was previously in LA Fitness member for over 10 years. I came in this morning and Jeff told me that I need to connect with the manager before I can activate my trial pass, which I signed up for yesterday. I let him know that I already spoke to two people yesterday about this, and that they all said that it was OK for me to just go into the class because they would not be there to do whatever needed to be done on the backend to activate my pass. The person I spoke to yesterday who works the front desk, said that he was going to leave a note at the front so I didn't get hassle this morning. The manager doesn't get in until 9 AM and I told them that I've already coordinated all of this with somebody previously to ensure I can go into the 8:30 AM class which I am now missing. The girl at the front desk was actually really nice and helpful, however, Jeff was incredibly rude and is the reason I will not be signing up for LA Fitness. We really need to work on how we treat people. As a business owner myself, I would be mortified if somebody on my team spoke to a potential customer how Jeff spoke to me today. When I asked him what his name was, he proceeded to tell me "none of yo business". It wasn't until the really sweet girl at the front told me what his name was.
