This Meat & Greet is so outstanding, I ate there three times during my 9 day stay in Prague. WOW!…read more Everything about this restaurant is quality. Quality service, drinks and most importantly food. It's also a very aesthetically pleasing restaurant so you feel comfortable from the moment you walk in. If everything I tried, I absolutely loved the red hot chilli burger. It's unique and the flavors are so harmonious... it makes me want to meet the person that designed this burger and shake their hand lol. If I could only eat one type of burger from here on out, it would be this one. I think it would be near impossible to have a bad experience at this restaurant. This place should get awards for their quality! Highly recommended.

Goat cheese AND cheddar, with pancetta, pumpkin mayo AND garlic aioli AND corn salad. Messy AF but tasty. Bohemia -- yum. Pork neck and a Czech cheese. Cabbage and onions. Wish the mustard was slightly spicier but this is a good burger. Fries -- get the herbed version or the steak fries. Wish us could herb the steak fries. Prices are a little higher than other places but still reasonable compared to most tourist destinations in Europe.

American style BBQ in Prague??? Really??? Good 'Q is hard enough to pull off in the USA, could…read moresomeone in Prague do it? The answer is a resounding YES. Bad Jeff's is the real deal. It's located near the Namesti Miru station on a mostly residential street. Beautifully decorated, we were seated immediately. Friendly server brought us our menus. We considered the BBQ Sampler but thought it would be too much as we weren't super hungry. Settled for the beef brisket and the pork ribs lunch. Both were excellent. Meat just fell of the bones, perfectly sauced. Fries were good. Unfortunately we didn't try the sides - guess we'll have to save that for next time. After getting to know Prague better, good 'Q doesn't surprise me anymore. Prague is well known for its meats and the restaurant scene is definitely on point.

But in…read morethe city's continued growth and attraction of multiple nations, one of those being Americans, BBQ was bound to find its way. And that's what Jeff did, he took his BBQ with him from back home, set up shop in Prague, and has been successful ever since with locals, and of course, expats. The chef, Jeff, actually is from Texas and used to be a chef at Prague Beer Museum, where he helped introduce classic American fare, such as corndogs, on their menu. I had my best ribs in Prague here, and some great sides including truffle mac n' cheese, jalapeno cheese corn bread, baked beans and cole slaw. I was pleased with the overall experience. Comforting interior, great selection of food (true to an American BBQ menu), AWESOME service, and the prices (albeit "expat prices") were good for what you got in return.

My wife and I stumbled upon this place while looking for a restaurant near our hotel in Prague,…read morehaving no idea what we were about to experience. We ducked through a doorway clearly not designed for anyone over six feet and were immediately greeted by the man we later learned was the owner. I'm a classic beef-and-potatoes American eater, so the small-plate menu wasn't something I'd normally gravitate toward. But I couldn't have been more wrong. We shared several dishes -- deer, prawns, eggplant, goat cheese -- all things I wouldn't usually order, and every single plate was phenomenal. Even the drinks were memorable. The owner talked me out of a Coca-Cola and into their iced tea, which turned out to be incredible. We ended the meal with cappuccinos that were just as impressive. Every part of the experience introduced us to new flavors and combinations we never expected to love. It might honestly be the best restaurant I've ever visited. The owner was welcoming, friendly, and guided us through the menu like a tour of flavor town. We visited on a Monday without a reservation and were very lucky to get a table. For about $90 USD, we enjoyed a glass of wine, an iced tea, seven different small plates, two desserts, and coffee -- a meal that would easily cost over $200 back in the States. If you're in Prague and want an exceptional meal served by people who treat you like family, Kofein is the place. Call ahead if you can -- you won't be disappointed.
