I don't typically write reviews, but this place has been fantastic to work with. If you need to rent something, I highly recommend them!!!

These people are the absolute worst in the area. The owner is a complete jerk. My fiancé called to make the last payment a month before our wedding and the owner told her that no payments had been posted. She responded as anyone would (without yelling or using foul language) and the owner refused to accept her payment and told us they will not rent to us...after we had already paid them! My sister also rented from them and had a similar problem (as another reviewer) with the dance floor being completely unusable. Throughout the entire process, the owner and all the staff were rude, unfriendly, and unprofessional. I just got off the phone with them, as they refuse to talk to my fiancé now, and the owner said she's posted a refund to our debit card but the transaction hasn't showed up and this is day 3. When asked how long it usually takes she responded: "I don't know, I'm not a credit person." in a very rude, cold tone. I'm afraid I may have to report them to the BBB and get in touch with an attorney in order to get our money back. The whole experience has been utterly terrible. We were initially quoted a price for tent + table + chairs + dance floor. They itemized the costs. When we removed the table and chairs, the price did not lower accordingly. The difference was a few hundred dollars higher than it should have been. It appears as if they set the cost at whatever they feel like at the time. If you want your wedding and/or party to be a disaster, these are your guys. Otherwise, save your bride the stress and look elsewhere :) Update 6-6-11: They short-changed us on the refund. BBB complaint was registered in hopes of receiving the rest of the refund. Update 8-8-11: BBB closed the complaint unresolved: "Customer not satisfied with business response; BBB did not find business made good faith effort to resolve complaint". The complaint was to receive the rest of our refund to which the owner went on a 450 word rant about how good her business is, how many weddings they have a week, what liars we are, and how terrible we were as customers. Conclusion: This business has treated us like the trash. The owner is incredibly rude and our very simple problem of a refund was not resolved (they were willing to take a BBB hit rather than issue a full refund?? Talk about a hard-headed morons!). A business that dropped us days before the wedding and wouldn't even issue a full refund...I can't imagine why anybody would want to do business with these scammers. read more

We chose Let's Party even though they were 45 minutes away (we're in Champaign) because they were much more affordable than local options. We were able to get all we wanted (linens, chafing dishes, serving dishes) for a great price, and they special ordered napkins for us in our wedding colors. They were very flexible with us on pickup and return dates and times, and communicated quickly with us when items we had reserved turned out to not be available, replacing those items with more expensive or equivalent options at no charge to us. When some of our items were not ready at pickup time, they quickly offered to deliver them to the venue on the day of at no charge because they wanted the extra time to ensure the items were clean and ready for us. All the items were functional, as described, and at a great cost. We felt having the nicer linens, napkins, glass drink dispensers, etc really made the event feel classier and nicer. We would happily recommend them for events! read more

Never on time. Never apologetic when they are late. Linens are always stained and the orders are always incorrect. Save yourself the trouble and sew your own linen. It would literally be faster than waiting on them to get your orders done correctly. read more

Did a great job for our event and I would use them again! Easy process, reasonable pricing (we shopped around too), very clear documentation/invoicing throughout the whole thing (no billing surprises, woo hoo!), accommodating, on time and everything looked great too! Chairs were a little dinged up and there may have been a spot on a linen or two, but no one noticed and, overall, we were incredibly happy with the outcome! I used Let's Party for the chair covers and sashes for my wedding. I met with the the owner 1 time, told her my colors and how many I needed and that was it. Granted, my wedding reception was at Lafayette Club so payment, setup and cleanup were all facilitated through the club. Regardless, they turned out beautifully and I didn't have any issues. read more

I used Lets Party for my grad party and the tent crew that came out was very professional. At first glance i was a little worried. But i showed them where the tent was goin and went back inside for not even 30 mins. When i came back out the tent was up tables and chairs all set up. I was shocked! Definitely would say they have a very fast delivery crew. That night a storm came thru and the rain was pouring in sideways. The tent guy gave me his number and i texted him for some sides and sure enuf 10 pm at night he came out and set up all sides. I would recommend this company to anyone who is having a party. read more

We rented a photo booth through Let's Party for a graduation party. The fee was $700 for 3 hours. I was told it was so expensive because the photo paper and ink are expensive. The machine owner called me, sounded nice and competent. Shortly after the machine was set up we attempted to take a family picture. The machine was not working properly. The guy running it said it would be working "soon". I asked how long. He responded "A few minutes." He turned the machine on and off. It still didn't work. He then attempted to call somebody on his cell phone. I got busy with guests. We never got the family picture. After the party one of the graduates told me the machine wasn't working for at LEAST 1/3 of the party. A few other guests told me they attempted to use the machine and it wasn't working. I called to request a price reduction. Countless excuses and lies. The machine was low on ink and paper and it needed to be replaced. It only took a few minutes to replace it. Our guests didn't use the machine enough so it went to sleep. It takes a while for it to wake up if it hasn't been used a a while. The guests weren't using the machine because frequently when they attempted to get a picture it wasn't working. There were 2 guys sitting there but they offered no explanations or help. They watched the guests attempt to use it and walk away. The guy I talked to after the party even said they weren't supposed to have to be there. We rented the machine, not their time during the party. He told me they stayed an extra 1/2 hour to give guests more time to use the machine. Untrue. Two separate people told me they shut it down at exactly the time we had agreed on. He wouldn't refund any of my $700 even though we used a fraction of the expensive ink and paper. Get a photo booth from somebody who brings a functional machine. read more

They could not be more rude. Never have I felt more offended and frustrated with a business. They have zero customer service, and the owner is straight up mean. The tent we rented from them as fine, but the day before the wedding, I realized we had 3 lights and 4 poles. I'm not sure why they didn't recommend I have 4 lights for 4 poles, but it would have been a problem I would have been happy to solve if she wouldn't have been so terribly mean to me on the phone about it. I think their products are fine, but the owner has the worst customer service ever. PLEASE go with another tent company. You'll be happy you did. read more

I booked Let's Party a year before my wedding because they offered a discount if you rent a tent plus tables/chairs, etc. from them. A couple of months before the wedding, I heard from my venue that this vendor was no longer approved to set up any rental items there. I immediately cancelled everything with them except the dancefloor because no other rental company offered a floor with subfloor for a cobblestone surface. I later talked with my caterer who said this was a great decision and recommended Weaver's Rent-All for all my rental items. The day before the wedding, the floor was delivered and set up in a way such that the floor was utterly unsafe to dance on. Let's Party initially refused to come back to fix the floor (which was undanceable) unless we paid an additional $500. There was a huge back and forth with my day-of-coordinator and the owner of Let's Party, who was completely unsympathetic and stated "well, that's just the way it is at [your venue]" while also saying that they'd fix it for more money. My father-in-law had to get involved on the wedding day, but then they agreed to come back to fix it. Throughout the whole process, customer service at Let's Party was seriously lacking. The owner is awful, mean, and rude. I am spreading the word that this company is the worst in Bloomington and you should NOT use them if you're considering it. read more

Just don't go there. I placed an order for my wedding which was 12 months away. The wedding was supposed to be at our house where we have a pretty huge yard for a tent. We were renovating a room at the time, which escalated into having to gut another part of the house and we wouldnt have enough money to pave the driveway etc... Long story short the expenses grew and there was just no way the house was going to be completed before our date. Emailed Shelly about needing to cancel (at this point the wedding is 11 months and 6 days away) and she emailed stating yes an order can be refunded. Went in to cancel and all of a sudden she say's it's non-refundable, but I'll go ahead and give you half of it back. (Like SHE was doing ME a favor.) So I'm out $400 for no reason at all. Nothing on the website nothing on my printed order, NOTHING and NO ONE said the deposit was non-refundable. Terrible, rude, uncompassionate, selfish customer service. I'm simply heartbroken. Please inform your friends and family. I can't believe a business can operate this way. Why can't I give them ZERO stars? read more

TERRIBLE! Let's party called on Wednesday to say they'd be there at 8 am on Thursday to set up the tent. Finally showed at 2. No call to say they were running late, nothing. Brought the tent, tables and chairs BUT forgot half the table and chair covers and the tent sides. Were told WE could come pick them up on Friday. (Apparently we had nothing better to do the day before the wedding). Picked up the sides and covers...sides weren't the correct size but were able to make them work, no stakes to hold the sides down and still missing 2 table covers. Were told they would bring the missing pieces to us by 3pm. No show, no call! When we called them they would deliver by 5pm. AGAIN no show, no call. When we called them back they "were just too busy" we would have to come get them ourselves tomorrow because NO ONE is ever busy on the wedding day. No sorry for the inconvenience, nothing. More of a too bad, sucks to be you attitude. If you want a less stress wedding find another rental. DO NOT use this company! read more
