Our salesperson, Maya, was friendly and attentive--until, of course, our credit card payment was processed. After that, any question I asked was met with condescension and tone-policing, as though I were a misbehaving child. Our assigned "Event Coordinator" made all sorts of promises: a host would reach out, we'd get calls to plan things together, and the app had all these amazing features we'd be walked through. None of that ever happened. No calls. No host. No follow-up. When I reached out for help, I was placed on hold for over 35 minutes--during a 120-minute hunt--only to be told someone would email me. Spoiler: they didn't. The next day, after multiple hold transfers, I finally spoke to the "host" who couldn't even be bothered to show up to our hunt. When I asked to speak to a supervisor, I was transferred to someone who seemed more interested in defending her staff and dismissing my experience as a matter of "perception" than in actually hearing or resolving any of the legitimate issues I raised. With this kind of leadership, it's no wonder our experience was so poor. This was not a VIP experience--it was a lesson in how not to run a business. Do yourself a favor and skip Let's Roam. The scavenger hunt we did was fun. This negative review is about their billing practices. My wife purchased two tickets to a scavenger hunt in her home town. We could only figure out how to use one of the tickets, so half of the money we spent was wasted. It gets worse. Because the idea was for us and our two kids to do this hunt in teams, and since we couldn't actually use the second ticket, I went ahead and signed up for the 7 day free trial. We did the hunt, and I immediately (less than 24 hours later) sent an email to Let's Roam support to cancel my account. I loathe the fact that I had to send an email instead of simply unsubscribing from my account, but they responded quickly. However, they requested that I fill out a cancellation form in order to cancel, which is was weird, but whatever. I filled out the form as requested. Their email stated that after filling out the form, my subscription would be "promptly terminated". Fast forward 20 days later, and I have a charge on my credit card from scavengerhunts.com (Roam). I then log in to my supposedly cancelled account only to find that it is, in fact, still active. I promptly emailed support letting them know that I would be issuing a chargeback on my credit card account and would be using our written email correspondence as supporting evidence that they had no right to charge my card anymore. I also requested that they actually cancel the account as I requested 20 days prior. Many other reviews on here mention their shady subscription charging/cancellation policies. Get all correspondence in writing, issue a chargeback if your requested cancellation isn't honored, and submit the correspondence to your credit card company. read more
