I just ordered the scratch off date night book. As I was taking a screen shot my dog decided he wanted some love and I dropped the phone on accident. When I picked it up it was a a page that thanked me for an add on...I never ordered it. I obviously hit something when I grabbed the phone and it charged me $25.99 for a second book. I reached out to customer service and they told me it would take 7-10 days for someone from billing to reach out and start the refund. I'm not happy and in fact considering canceling the book I originally ordered. I'm guessing my finger hit that orange bar when I grabbed the phone from where it landed in the recliner. No confirmation that I really wanted it, no confirmation that I wanted to use the same card again...nothing. Just charged my card. read more

I had a very frustrating experience with Let's Roam. I would call this company scammers. I was charged for a monthly subscription that I did not sign up for. I emailed their support team and they said my purchase was triggered by clicking the "Buy Again & Save" option, which I know I did not click. I followed up by asking them for 1. System or event logs showing the exact action taken to authorize this charge, 2. The date/time, IP address, and device/browser associated with the alleged click, 3. Proof that the "Buy Again and Save" option was not pre-selected, automatically triggered, or presented in a misleading manner, and 4. An explanation for why no confirmation email or receipt was sent. They could not provide this information and forwarded my refund request to their billing team. I first contacted their support team on December 18, 2025 regarding the unauthorized charge. As of February 11, 2026, it was still not resolved. I had to follow up weekly just to get a response, and multiple times I received automated emails stating my case was "closed," forcing me to reopen it again and again. Each time I reached out, I was told they were "waiting on the billing team," but no actual progress was made. After nearly two months of back and forth with no resolution, I sent a final email clearly stating that if the refund was not processed within five business days, I would dispute the charge with my credit card company and consider sharing my experience publicly. Fourteen days passed with no refund and no meaningful response. I ultimately had to dispute the charge through my credit card issuer to get my money back. As for the service itself, the scavenger hunt questions were extremely basic and not challenging at all. It felt geared toward young children, despite being advertised for adults. For the price, I found it disappointing and not worth the cost. Between the unauthorized charge, the lack of resolution, and the underwhelming experience, I would not recommend Let's Roam. read more

Avoid this company at all costs because what you'll get is money taken for tickets never purchased and endless emails to customer service that yields ZERO results. Scammer! Scammers! Scammers!I would leave a zero rating if that were an option. I had three friends visiting Scotland and decided a scavenger hunt may be a nice way for them to experience some of the sites offered. I found Let's Roam scavenger hunt and purchased 3 tickets for £28.83. Immediate regret when as I put the payment through the screen flashed and I was suddenly thanked for purchasing more tickets. How many? I couldn't tell you! Immediately my bank account debited for £56.31 plus the £28.83 for the three tickets. Immediate panic and knew something not right with this company. Went onto trustpilot reviews and had a read through other peoples experiences and immediately the penny dropped. Definite Scam! Reviews advising money taken, scavenger hunt details inaccurate and sketchy (apparently company owed by two teenagers in the USA) probably why the details for a scavenger hunt in the UK a bit dodgy. Within minutes of making the purchase and realising it was a scam, I immediately got in contact with Let's Roam advising them that I was unhappy, money taken, no receipt for my "extra" purchases and bad reviews which for me means AVOID. I let them know that I wanted my full refund of £85.14 as I wanted to put this bad experience behind me immediately and wanted no association with this company at all. Polite emails back about how my tickets could be passed on as gifts and I had 2 years in which to use them. Five emails later of me insisting I wanted my full refund to be told they would send my request across to their billing department who would assess the validity of my claim for a refund before they make the decision about whether or not to refund me and this process would take 5-10 working days. Two days later emails advising my case was now dealt with and being closed as resolved. I emailed again advising that this was not the case, I was still unhappy and £85.14 out of pocket. Told just their standard automated procedure to call back in 10 days if nothing done. What gets me is I'm still waiting for my full refund more than 15 days after purchase, reported to my banks fraud department but it seems these scammers are sneaky drawing out communication until you finally give up. These companies should not exist they are a slap in the face of hard-working customers, treating your money like their own. Please be WARNED: AVOID, AVOID,AVOID... save yourself the time and money. SHAME on you Let's Roam... you're bad business for the man in the street!!! read more
