I have nothing but amazing things to say about this martial arts school. We signed up under a great online deal for the 6 weeks of class to see how our son would do before going full steam ahead. He is a very high energy 5 year old who has a very healthy but not always good attitude and surprising can be very shy at times. He also would get very frustrated and angry if he didn't get things right the first time. That is until we brought him to level 10. I will admit when we first asked if he wanted to go to karate he said no and would get angry and yell at us, I don't know why but he was very vocal about his dislike of the idea, he wanted to go back to soccer but Soccer wasn't available at the time. We took him to a class to watch after he agreed he would do that at least, it was a fun low key class day because of hurricane Irma Master Theros and Mrs. Theros just wanted to give the kids a good time after the storm. My son would watch most of the class then suddenly at the end he finally wanted to join the fun not realizing he missed most of it. I asked if he wanted to come to a class for the full time and he said yes. Mrs. Theros gave him his uniform that day and we came back for his first lesson a couple days later. He jumped right into it, a little shy at first but looking at him now you would never know he was once that shy kid in class. Flash forward to almost 3 months later, this week he tests for his yellow belt. He has improved significantly in every single way not only in his lessons (which I am beyond impressed how well he has picked up on) but the way he is at home and in School. His kindergarten teacher noticed a change in him over time and asked me what we did at home and I proudly was able to say martial arts. His yes ma'am's and yes sir's are on point, he is not afraid to fail and try again and he listens so much better then he did before. He is still a 5 year old so he is still learning his boundaries but level 10 concentrates heavily on respect and focus which has truly become a way of life for our son. If he misbehaves I always ask him if master or Mrs. Theros would be ok with the way he is talking to us or how he treated a friend in school and he quickly shapes up. Another great thing is since my son is in the little ninjas program they concentrate on safety as well as self defense not only against kids their age but also in case an adult tries to hurt them or take them. I would highly recommend this school to anyone who wants to join martial arts for themselves or for their children. They will absolutely love it and you will have such a tremendous joy watching your children grow and have a level of proud you never expected you could have. Our journey started with Level 10 Martial Arts last August. Summer break was coming to an end and after being on a 5 weeks trip over Europe, we wanted our boys to start a new activity. Soren, 6 years old and Sawyer 4 back then are boys full of energy and always ready for some action... I found an ad on Facebook for this new school and they offered a great deal for new students. We thought giving it a try wouldn't hurt. Soren has always had a leader attitude while Sawyer is more shy and reserved in front of a group. We have seen Sawyer coming out of his shell...They both connected with Master and Mrs Theros. They have this wonderful ability to not only teach Martial Arts, but also to show they care about the children and the parents. I won't lie, the boys were not always excited to go to class at the beginning as they realized that it is not all about fun; they learn to listen, to respect, to follow rules... things that are easy to be ignored at home with the parents! And so we decided to stick to the classes... as time passed we realized that we, as parents, are also learning so much. We won't let our kids quit because that is not what life is about! We want them to learn that success can be hard and painful at times, that as a group we get our strength from each other, that no one can achieve to better things if they get discouraged and just give up... Master Theros and Mrs Theros are not only our boys Martial Arts teachers, they have become our coaches in life. They are part of our family and if we are not in class, we talk about them, we share posts on Facebook, we listen to Master "  morning talk " teaching us to be better individuals, we get excited to participate in challenges as a family, we meet our Level 10 friends on activities outside of the class,... if you want your children to be part of something big, not just any activity, but something that will make an impact on their lives, on your life.... don't look any further! Closing to the end of the year and the second trimester, I can not be more happy of my decision to bring Karlo to this school. Karlo have never been too much into sports, he only showed interest in Karate 2 years ago when we lived in Miami. I got to the school referred by a co-worker, a new school with a good offer to start and see for a couple of months is Karlo was up for the commitment. When I saw that he was interested, excited and ready to go back to Martial Arts, I checked other schools close to where I live, because my drive to school is 20-30 minutes depending on traffic. Being good parents and in our case, grandparents, raising children can be overwhelming at times. When our granddaughter started to have trouble in school and at home, we knew we had to help her . In school, she had minor issues with behavior and trouble focusing while making good grades in Kindergarten. At home, she lacked respect and had occasional outbursts of anger. Martial arts is so much more than your child learning how to defend themselves. It teaches discipline, confidence, respect and so much more. As parents, these are the things we want to teach our children, but at times it can be hard. Level 10 martial arts college has helped teach my 5 year old all of this and so much more! She started martial arts at the age of 4 and was very shy. She didn't want to step on the mat, she wanted us by her side and she would barely talk. After a couple classes she was on the mat and gaining confidence with each class. She is still a little shy and timid, but it definitely takes her out of her comfort zone. One of the main things I have loved about level 10 is how they teach the children that it is ok to fail at things, as long as you get up and try again. I have tried 4 other martial arts schools. I have seen what a quality martial arts program looks like. When looking for a program to help my son, it was pretty obvious early on this was a good school. Grand Master Theros has run his own school for 25 years now. He has been there and done that. The program focuses on making better people and in the process you become skilled in Tae Kwon Do, Kung Fu, and Hapkido. This was evident when some of us went to a statewide tournament last year and placed in all events including some of us winning grand champion. The program works for those 4 years old to me (over 50 and the oldest student in the school). This school has helped my adhd child mature, focus better, and go from a chubby boy to a fit, lean almost teen. Also at a time when the kids at school were mean to him, the kids here have been nothing but accepting and friendly to him. Let me start off by saying that Level 10 has transformed my daughter from a shy introverted little girl who barely participated during class and would run off the mat in tears to an amazingly confident and proud little ninja. It's so much more than a karate school. The Theroses are top notch experts in their profession. They have the ability to hone in on every child's deficits and work on that in class all while teaching the skills necessary to become proficient in karate. The life skills of respect and discipline that they engrain in each child is what's missing in our schools and in our communities nowadays. But wait. The classes don't end at the door. Level 10 Martial Arts College is very much a family away from home. My son joined L10 about 4 months ago. He started with no idea what Karate was about and what he was going to learn. The "level" of instruction is top notch. You will quickly see the passion with each instructor and the Grand Master for developing students into a confident, strong and focused individual. Many of the skills they are learning as a karate student are easily transferable to the real world including showing respect toward adults. During the COVID pandemic, the staff really got creative and didn't miss a beat. Classes resumed via Zoom while still providing the personal instruction for each student. They were showcased for their swift change in their model on the news! We are ecstatic to be a part of the family and my son is thoroughly enjoying the challenge with each belt he earns. My husband and I signed our daughter up during the summer under their 4th of July special. I thought it would give her a few weeks of something fun to do with other kids her age. Level 10 has become so much more than that, it's become another family for us. She absolutely loves going to karate class every week and talks about going daily. At 4 years old she practices at home on her own to improve her skills for class and is taking pride in her accomplishments. They teach so much more than punches and kicks at this school. It's skills everyone should know and use daily in life. We couldn't be happier as a family to have found this school. My daughter has been attending Level 10 since July of this year, the day they opened. We signed her up during a trial offer period hoping to build her confidence and give her something to do. This has become way more than we could have imagined. Martial arts is a way of life for Bailey. She joined as a charter member a few months ago and since has joined the black belt club. This has helped every aspect of her life. She has more confidence at school, she pays attention, and is learning to handle her anxiety. My two boys started going to Level 10 about a year ago. We started martial arts looking for ways to improve our children's respect as well as personal development. After their first couple of months I was so impressed with the teachings from Master Theros and the school as a whole that I decided to become a student myself (with no martial arts background at all). Daughter, 9 years old been going for two years. Fantastic place to learn martial arts from martial arts masters, but there is more to learn about life besides karate. Learning Patience, Humility, Respect, and Honoring thy Father and thy Mother comes to mind. Nothing bad can come from what these kids learn from their black belt masters.
