Took me a while to post this review. I found them on Yelp hoping the reviews are legit. Some of…read morethem probably are. And as much as I would like to give them a good review, them being our last contractor before we finally moved back in our house (after 20 long months of being displaced after Hurricane Beryl), it has been stressful cleaning up after the mess these guys have done to our home. And to this day, we're still finding paint splatters on floors, appliances, furnitures, doors; unpainted areas; uneven paint; it never ends. If you own a home, and you have things inside your home, don't hire these guys. They don't respect your property. Shoe prints on top of our table cover, it's so bad we had to throw it away. We had just installed wood floors on our stairs and there's a lot of scruff marks a thick dirt that we had to scrub it clean. They painted over nails. Paint was dumped on our toilets and sinks, and on our lawn. A simple search confirms that these are ILLEGAL. They tried to deny it but then later admitted to it when confronted. We brought up a lot of these issues shortly after they "finished" and they did come to try to correct many of it. And for that, I give them credit for. But I'm still finding paint splatters on several items, to this day, as we're working our way towards fully settling back in our home. ADDITIONALLY: before they came, we had our home thoroughly and professionally cleaned twice by another contractor specializing on air quality. And those cleaners have video proof of their work so we have evidence of the condition of our home (cleanliness-wise) before these painters roughed it it. I'm truly disappointed and I don't recommend this company to anyone at all.

Being a first-time homebuyer is already stressful enough, but then to find quality, trust-worthy…read morepainters on top of that was a challenge! After shopping around for estimates (quotes) we finally landed on New Generation Painters and met Julio - the Owner! He comes with fifteen plus years of experience and got his start out in Florida! Julio was responsive, professional, and offered very fair and competitive pricing compared to other painters around houston! Julio and his team did quality work when painting the interior of our home! We had the entire place painted, except for the primary bathroom! Julio was there to guide us through the process from start to finish and even educating us on the types of paints to use to help us make an informative decision based on our budget and goal! We ended up going with Sherwin Williams Greek Villa satin finish and flat color for the ceilings! PSA: make sure to verify and confirm that the painters do two coats of paint! Some paint companies will only do 1x coat of paint ! My one star deduction was that post-completion, there were paint splatters left on all the doorknobs of the house that we had to go back and clean up ourselves! But beautiful work and great pricing! I'd highly recommend Julio and his team for your next paint job!

Where do I start? Our home needed an indoor paint job for the ceilings, walls and trim. Corey…read moreWalters responded to my quote request the same day and came to see our house to measure and provide an estimate. He told me that he'd have the job done in 7 days and that we wouldn't even have to leave our house or move furniture out. They started on a Sunday and we quickly noticed we were going to have issues with the way the work was being done. Our floors were not covered to protect from the constant walking / mud/ paint until 2 days into the job. Our furniture was being covered with plastic "as they were going" and we started to notice they were sanding down ceilings so we asked that he cover all furniture up as the sand/ dust was getting everywhere. I wish he would have listened to our request - we are left with an unfinished house since he went to jail and layers of dust in every inch of our house and furniture. We had to stay at a family members house in order to avoid breathing in the dust - he abandoned the job on day 10 and left us with unfinished ceilings, wall paint and a huge mess. There were multiple times where I'd notice him moving our items and personal belongings such as a brand new bedroom lamp into the living room and using it as a work light without inquiring with me first and damaging it with mud. He then started claiming that he under bid the job and was running out of money quick - he was also complaining about the amount of boxes and things in our house that he had to move to paint. His workers did a great job but they also either stopped showing up or were fired because Corey felt they had an attitude. At this time, we still haven't moved back into our house and it's 3 days before Thanksgiving. I hope this review helps others see the kind of work Corey does and avoid the experience I had and spending money on unreliable people who don't finish their job. I will be reporting him to the BBB and requesting a refund on damaged belongings with the hope that we can recoup something from this job. Update: we had to hire a cleaning company that cost us $1,000 to clean the top layer of dust and make our home livable. At this time, we have a lot of work to do in each room to finish the paint job we paid him for ourselves. We've spent 5 days cleaning our home after the cleaning company came and had to buy an entirely new set of couches, coffee table, bed sheets, lamps and a storage unit for the items we haven't been able to get to. Corey threatened me with putting a Lien on our home right after he got out of jail multiple times. We had to consult with an attorney as well. The least he could do was reimburse us for the damaged furniture and cleaning costs but I doubt we will ever recoup that. My 65+ year old parents should not have to have gone through this. Please stay away from this person and 3rd Coat Painters!
