The game selection here is MASSIVE - they've got new in box games, great condition used games, and rentals. We had a blast looking through all the options! My partner and I were looking for more two-player games, and the staff at ASG delivered. They were so kind and knowledgeable about all the different games, and never made us feel like goobers for asking questions. They had several recommendations and gave us helpful descriptions of what each game is like. You can even take used games out of their box and check the board / pieces / rules out before buying. I love that! If I lived closer, I would for SURE be on the rental train. The first time you rent it's a bit steeper, but every time after you rent any game, it's really cheap. Get it for a week at a time. Or, do their monthly membership-style program to get new games(s) every month! The best part?! If you decide to buy a game you rented, they take what you already paid off the total. Now that is a customer friendly policy! We ended up going home with Skull and Splendor this time. The workers started yelling at him to get out in front of everyone. Super disrespectful as they did not do that to anyone else and gave other people two items. But the staff and practices are just terrible. I've been here twice. Both times I was in the shop, I spent a good long while searching through their products and sifting through their bulk trading card bins, and the whole time I was in there I overheard the manager(?) being extremely short and rude with multiple customers. Acting like a smug know-it-all, being annoyed that people were trying to sell things to their store, and even swearing at customers who were being normal/polite with him. Just absolutely bizarre behavior. My other massive problem with this place is the pricing on some of their items, and how/what they offer for store credit trade-ins. I've traded in some vintage cards here before, (both times I was in the shop) and even though I had different employees doing the trade-ins each time, they never failed to lowball me like CRAZY. They tried to tell me they could only take one of my cards as "damaged" condition because it had a couple black specs on the front of the card, and some light white wearing around the backside edges. I lightly scraped my fingernail across the black specs and they fell off.. The card was at WORST "moderately played" condition. I understand that these childhood cards from 25 years ago aren't in pristine condition, but they never failed to pretend like they were in the worst possible condition so they could offer me way less. (Mind you, I was wanting store credit, not cash, which benefits them even more..) The pricing on their used singles cards is also insane. I found a random obscure cheap old card I've been searching for, (non first edition version) but it was being sold for $10.. TCG Player and eBay both show that even the first edition version in near mint condition goes for $3.50. I saw another card I was interested in that was being sold for $100. TCG Player and eBay show that in near mint condition it goes for $46. I wasn't going to complain about the $10 card, but I decided to POLITELY ask why the $46 card was being sold for $100, and the rude manager guy overheard me asking and walked over to interject. He said those cards are the owner of the store's cards, he chooses the prices, that's just what he wants to get for them, they cannot change the price. I politely said "Ah, okay. I'll pass on that one then." then finished my transaction and left. I don't understand how stores with extremely rude staff who also literally try to scam people out of their money can stay in business. Just disgusted with my experiences at this place. Even greedy scalpers I've met at trading card conventions aren't charging $100 for a $46 card.

You know what gets me excited? I still have the old consoles I grew up with, and sometimes it's fun to pick up a title I never got to play as a kid and play it now as an adult (next best thing, right?). My friend and I were at Southdale Center Mall just wandering around when we happened across this place. We HAD to go in when I saw the fun standee of Sonic the Hedgehog in the window. The decor is pretty fun, featuring lots of faves you'll recognize. They even have a DDR machine and Mortal Kombat II arcade cabinet available to play on there in the store (which btw, are set to free play on the weekends! So rad!). My friend chat up a couple of the employees that were working there about potentially trading in one of her consoles. I just enjoyed browsing about to see what all they had. Finally someplace that isn't just half Funko Pops! The back of the store is set up for party rentals, which is cool. Looks like they had lots of room for folks to game on whatever console their heart desired, as well as a projector for movies or whatever else. Definitely seems like it would make for a fun birthday or whatever celebration. The pricing also seemed extremely reasonable: $200 for two hours and up to 24 people! Honestly glad to see something fun here at this mall too. Not gonna lie, most of this mall is extremely upscale brands that only rich people would consider shopping at.

Myself and my gf dropped off her 3DS February 14th on valentines day 2026. It has now been 5 months…read more4 days since we dropped it off. First it was ok we need to wait for parts the bottom screen was pixelated a bit otherwise worked fine just needed a new bottom screen. Then we get a call 3 months later saying it no longer turns on the pervious technician H Had damaged the 3ds in the process now they need new parts. Its been a game of phone tag of empty promises. This 3ds was special to my gf its the last thing she ever received from her deceased father. It has photos save files from games they played together they have not answered our questions regarding that the data will be safe and the repair will happen. We have called multiple times they keep saying they'll get back to us when the technician is in but still no answers. Horrible experience I just hope we can get the 3DS back with the data and memories intact.
