These guys came out to my business June of 2025 to replace a broken spring on our bay door. The…read moredoor worked fine after they left and did so for EXACTLY one year. Fast-forward to July (9th to be specific) of 2026 and the bar for the spring has now snapped in half. I called ACE to see if it was still under warranty and not only did they tell me "no", they said that there would be a $400 charge for them to come out and look at it PLUS an additional $200/hr labor PLUS parts. Keep in mind, they just removed this bar just over 52 weeks ago. Their guy was the last one to have his hands on it. My building is less than 1/4 mile away from them and they just worked on this 55 weeks ago and they won't even come out to see if their guy did something wrong with the installation or if he missed other parts that should have been changed originally. These bars don't just snap for no reason and I suspect their guy didn't change the bearings when he had the bar off for the spring change last year. Regardless, this is a company that is either so desparate for money that they can't do jobs right to begin with or they're so desparate for money that they have to get pedantic over warranty windows and rake people over the coals just to get their service fee. Either way, NOT a good look for anyone looking to keep commercial business. I can not and will not ever recommend anyone call ACE for service. There are lots of other mom and pop companies out there that will make sure the job is done correctly to begin with or they'll recognize that warranty windows are not something they should take hard stances on and be willing to accept that their work should last YEARS longer than the warranty states. Let's face it... NO ONE would put up with a vehicle that falls apart and stops working the moment the warranty expires. Why should we accept this level of service from garage door companies??? ACE... If you're reading this, understand that this is REALLY BAD BUSINESS PRACTICE and it's a really bad look. You should do MUCH better by your customers.

The original appeared eventually. 3) $225 for a commercial service fee, never mentioned. On the final bill, and the original discussion was 400$ for the appointment to b adjusted at final bill. Bottom line : their estimates are NOT free. The 225 took away most of the 400 deposit so whats the use? 4) the fenced is not balanced and doesn't close properly, it was mentioned that it would be fixed, NOT. Wanted 250$ for 2 manpower hours. The whole bill was $1335 with parts and labor. Cant thighten a screw as a cortesy, and totally leave the gates proper? Very disappointed, prices excessive , I dont recommend. They had a great selection of ceramic logs. We have been quite happy with the set up. And it is a lot easier to clean. Recently the chain screen in front of the fireplace needed to be replaced. Surprisingly, they do wear out. We bought the screen and had them install it. As an additional benefit, their garage door openers also work as remote openers for driveway gates. He looked at the pictures and offered to come out at 8 in the evening but I suggested early in the morning. He was scheduled for 8:00am and he was at my home for 7:45am, not on time but early. He had all the parts and was finished in an hour. He even came back 10 minutes after he left because my wife called to tell him one section kept jumping off the track. Well, D Nova was totally different. He not only explained what work was required, he also pointed out deficiencies in the DRHorton new home construction that made the work necessary. He explained it in such a way that I fully understood. He also pointed out framing that was not properly attached so it was coming loose from its original location. When I say that I was impressed, I really was. Although he couldn't perform the work that day, he agreed to get the necessary materials and return the next day. He kept me apprised of what time he would arrive, showed up at that time, did exceptional work and did not take all day to do it. I could tell that he really loves what he does because of how meticulous he was and how he moved around as he worked - he didn't waste any time (mine or his).
