My kid has been at Level Up for the past month. So far, we like it. He transitioned well, and the teachers and director seem caring and kind. I love receiving daily pics of the kiddos doing activities, and I like that they do show and tell on Fridays. My 2.5 year old vocab has burst since starting there, which is really cool to see. We haven't had any major issues yet so I'm not sure how those would be handled if something were to come up. They take credit card, and have many different options for full time vs part-time schedules. I also like the variety of lunch options (though for an additional fee per month). You won't receive specific updates on your kiddo for eating, napping, diaper changes, etc unless you ask them specifically, but they do seem responsive to those inquires when I do ask. read more

Our experience with Level Up Montessori was extremely disappointing--both emotionally and financially. We enrolled our 14-month-old and paid $350 in registration fees plus the full month's tuition upfront. The school insisted that she attend full days (9:30 am-4:30 pm) immediately, not recommending a gradual transition, despite her age and obvious separation anxiety. After just two days she became severely distressed. At pickup she was screaming, sobbing uncontrollably, and emotionally shut down. Trying to understand why her reaction was so extreme, we waited outside the school on Day 3 and could clearly hear her crying for long stretches without any adult attempting to console her. It became clear that she was being left to cry rather than comforted. When asked why the child is left to cry- we were told this is better for the child. For a 14-month-old, this approach is developmentally inappropriate and emotionally harmful. We checked with other parents who had dropped out of this center and saw they left similar reviews. When we withdrew her to protect her wellbeing, we were shocked to learn that not only would there be no refund for the unused portion of the month, but the school also charged us for the entire next month's fees as well--for a child who attended only three days. While during admission we were informed the first month tuition will be on the basis of the days she attends. Yet we were charged for that whole month and the next month, hiding behind 'policy'. Paying nearly two months of tuition plus registration for three days of attendance is unreasonable and feels extremely money-minded rather than child-focused. The school hides behind "policy" instead of showing any empathy or flexibility toward families. Between the rigid full-day requirement, lack of emotional support, and unfair financial practices, I cannot recommend this center to parents of young toddlers. read more

If I could give zero stars, I would. This was my son's first time in preschool (October 2023), and he had a hard time adjusting. Unfortunately, the staff never took the time to introduce themselves to my husband and I. I never met his teacher in person, and any updates through the app were sent only after I had already picked him up, which defeats the purpose of real-time communication. He cried during drop-offs due to the transition, and instead of offering comfort or support, the staff would call me within an hour to come pick him up because they said they couldn't console him. I was never allowed into the classroom either, which felt suspicious and unwelcoming. At the Halloween performance, I noticed my son wasn't outside with the others. No one informed me why which put me into a panic because I couldn't find him. I had to approach one of the teachers and ask where he was. They let me go inside for this instance and I found him crying alone on the floor while the teachers sat at the desk doing nothing to help him. They told me it was because he wanted a snack. That moment confirmed everything I had feared about their lack of care. We made the decision to pull him out and enroll him in Building Kidz Hayward. The difference was night and day. The teachers there are warm, personable, and communicative. My son still cried at first, but they worked with him and kept me updated in real time. I'm writing this now as he's thriving and about to start kindergarten. I truly thank Building Kidz for helping undo the trauma we both experienced. I wanted to wait until his preschool experience was over to give an honest review when comparing the two schools, which is why I'm writing this now. Don't let the positive reviews fool you. We're so happy with the level of care and education Level Up provided my daughter. When she first started 2 years ago, she was a shy and timid little girl. I remember her first Christmas concert, she was in the back and just stood there quietly cause she was so shy. Fast forward a year and a half later, she's now singing confidently in the front row of her graduation performance. When she first started, I would ask who my daughter's friends were and she would just say "teacher". Now, all she talks about is all the friends she's made and how much fun she's had at school. She loves her teachers and loves to talk about everything she learned at school. I have to admit there was a bit of growing pains with administration the first year, but now the communication has been great and everything is so well organized. They even had Mother's Day and Father's Day performances. You can tell how much the staff loves the kids. We're gonna miss this place when my daughter leaves for kindergarten. read more

I am disappointed to have to write this review because I recommended this school to my family and friends. The teachers are amazing. My first son has grown so much thanks to this school. He graduated preschool here and I considered my second to enroll here as well but it all went downhill when I saw the pricing and realized I have been overcharged every month for at least a year so more than $1000. I obviously wanted a refund but it's been more than a month of pestering the director since she won't give me the owner's direct number and still no resolution. As a result we have decided not to go ahead with my second child because we feel we aren't valued as a continued member of this school community as if my concern is not valid. Registration fee is nonrefundable and another loss for us. If you enroll your child here, please note a difference with toddler and preschool fees. When my son moved to the preschool class, they never changed the billing, nor was I aware of a reduction in fee per month. Don't put yourself through the same headache I'm going through. Again, the teachers are absolutely amazing and I have nothing against them. I just wished I was valued more with the owner considering I was going to enroll my second son but we have changed our mind due to this. I keep writing reviews because I'm so happy with this place. My kid has a ASD diagnosis. While he is on the lower end of the spectrum, he has some challenges. My kiddo never went to Pre-K because of COVID. I loved my daycare. Don't get me wrong. He was there from the time he was 4 months until 5 years. They absolutely took care of him. However it was a daycare and not a school so they did daycare things and not pre k things. I've had my kiddo here since April and I've seen tremendous growth in his speech, his critical thinking, and his mathematical processing. Again I keep reviewing this place because they keep impressing me. My kid has grown so much. This place has been a blessing! My kiddo learns so much and they are just so attentive and nice. Having a kiddo with ASD and seeing him grow so much has been amazing. Before coming here my kid couldn't write his name. His kindergarten teacher tried but until he went here I didn't see progress. He can write his name, he's doing math in his head without his fingers, he's speaking and articulating himself so well. I know it's because he's getting the one on one attention he needs. They have flexible rates and programs for you to choose from and work with the parent to help the child grow and develop life skills such as potty training. I heard a lot of issues with day cares enforcing strict pull up policies. The transition was very well and my child loves her teachers. She has learned so much in a very short span of time and the teachers are working with her to gain even more skills. Sandhya and the new management team have been extremely attentive and patient during the change of ownership process. I really appreciate how they communicate with the parent via phone and email now by sending out newsletters. I love this school! I really appreciate the care and support they provide for my Son. The teachers are so loving and attentive to what my child needs. We have been sending our daughter to level up Montessori for about one and a half months now. She was just 18 months when she started and is the youngest in the batch. Within 2 weeks our daughter got completely adjusted to the new environment and now looks forward to going there every morning. In the initial days when she was still getting adjusted to the new environment, the teachers took very good care of her by being very patient and thoughtful with her and made her feel comfortable. Now she likes the place and looks forward to going there. We have also noticed many positive changes in her. She is now interested in solving simple puzzles, numbers , letters etc. Even at home she involves herself in play more independently and tries to recreate what she has learnt at school. She also has picked up new words. They have an app where they keep sending pics and videos of our daughter at regular intervals throughout the day. It is fun to watch and also keeps the anxiety out since we know she is doing fine. It also lets us show those pics to her at home hence establishing a connection in her mind between us and her school. Very Poor experience !!! Not recommended at all !!! Teachers are very rude and treated my kid not good . My kid had one diaper incident , she was so rude about that . We always help whenever they call , one time I said we cannot due to some family issue , teacher reacted so violently and cut the phone . After that she treated my baby so badly. She told my Mother-in-Law she will never touch her and she stopped talking to her !! Then they unenrolled her from the school . I got email in evening to inform me she is unenrolled. My son joined Level Up Montessori for the first time in Jan 2023. We have had a really positive experience since he was born during covid-19 and had limited social experience in a classroom setting. As a first time parent using a child care service like this I was anxious ( he's only been in home care before), the staff was extremely responsive and supportive. They give frequent updates on the app throughout the day, have cameras in every classroom, and also reply to specific messages from parents regarding sleep or other things which was great! Lately, he's been learning more about science experiments, colors, not to be messy when he eats, alphabet, etc... I'm thankful for Ms. Dar. Even she is the director but she is very attentive to kids behaviour and remembers each by name. She is very welcoming, friendly and spends more time with the kids to get to know them. If you have request about your kid, she truly cares and will definitely make it happen. We have had an incredible experience at Level Up Montessori, and cannot recommend it highly enough! We switched our son from another school where we felt that he was not getting the level of care and attention we were expecting (our son just turned 3 this year). Ever since he joined Level Up, we've had nothing but positive experiences. He's been there for 2 months and we feel that he is receiving much better care and attention. Our son is no longer crying when going to school so this has been a great relief for us. All my son's teachers seem great. I especially want to call out Ms. Dar who has been a great support. Since the first day, we got a tour from her, she has been so friendly and caring which has made a huge difference. We get regular updates about our son and we always chat with Ms. Dar about questions/concerns. She has gone above and beyond to support our child's care. Level Up Montessori is an amazing preschool! The teachers are excellent. They are very attentive and compassionate and treat your children as if they are their own.
