I had to call licensing on this childcare, however due to the "state of the art cameras" not working, the director Yakkeling Esquivel (Jackie) was able to get away with hitting my son. My son was always starving and thirsty when he was picked up. He would cry and was sad at every drop off. My son had a speech delay but he recognized Jackie at a gas station which he clearly said "bad teacher hit". It's very heartbreaking. She was falsely charging my assistant program, she would charge for days and hours that my done did not attend the school! She should be in JAIL! Note the website advertising state of the art cameras for parents to view their children at anytime. Latest update: I increased my star rating to 4 since they stayed open during this whole pandemic. Never missed a day. For essential workers, which my husband and I are, this was such a relief. Communication could still be better. Not sure what's been going on with their phones, but they are open (now close at 5:30), and I believe they are accepting new kids. Update: I was very happy with the infant room, but I sadly can no longer provide 5 star for the preK 1. There has been a huge turnover of staff. The Spanish lessons have basically gone away. The teachers don't communicate with each other, so when you pick up your child and ask how he did for the day you get a "I've only been with him for an hour, so I don't know ". I've repeatedly told them that he's potty training at home, but it doesn't seem to be continued while at school, which is really frustrating since he's over 3 now. Yesterday the photo of him on Hi Mama was pre-haircut, so I know it's not what they did today. Typically they've been sparse and I got a report one day when he wasn't even there. So basically it's worthless. The afternoon snack went away so my kid is starving when I pick him up. I emailed the head director directly and got no response regarding my concern and suggestion for merely a yogurt stick. I've hesitated on updating this because I keep giving a benefit of the doubt, but maybe this will help with some positive changes Previous review: I'm very pleased with the care Miss Mercedes and team provide for my son in the infant room. I know he enjoys his day because he isn't sad when I drop him off in the morning for "school ". If anything happens, Miss Maria lets us know right away. They sometimes send me cute pictures of my son and they also make cute little holiday art projects. The staff speaks to the kids in both English and Spanish, which I am very happy about. They also have longer hours than a lot of other daycares, so if you work later, this place can accommodate until 6:30pm. read more

Both of my son's went to lil angels. My youngest is in his last year there. I highly recommend this child care! The teachers are great. My son is 4 and already knows his alphabet and can recognize letters when he see's them. He can count almost to 30! My older son that went there was a problem child and needed alot of one on one attention. They helped my son through that and worked with me. Most child cares would have kicked my son out. My son is now in kindergarten and doing great. He has not been sent home. I would thank lil angels for helping me with that. This is one of my favorite daycares. My son, nephew and grandson went here. All the staff is extremely wonderful. I love that they have an app and post pictures. They do a lot of arts and crafts and do events for kids and families. Love this place. read more

Today is my daughter first day so far so good the stuff is good and great. For now I'll give them 3star about the place it's ok about cleanliness I would say 1 to 10 for me is 6 and the stuff I like them all they'll always with the kids and assist them.i like that. I waited to give this place a review for a while due to me having mixed feelings about it. My daughter attended this school for a good year or so before I decided to move her elsewhere. Ideally, I would have wanted to keep her there until she started kindergarten. However, during the last few months she was attending Li'l Angels she developed a bad case of head lice. The teachers had sent a note home with the kids informing parents to check their child's head everyday since they noticed one of the children had it. At first I didn't notice anything when I checked my daughter's hair. But within the next few days I did notice she had it and kept her home for a whole week just to be sure it was fully gone. I went above and beyond to make sure her head lice was completely removed before she went back to school. The day she went back, I got a call from Ms. Maria saying that they checked my daughter's head and she still had head lice. I was very confused since she had just returned to school from being out an entire week because of it. So I picked her up, and went through the entire process again. Keeping my daughter home for the next 4-5 days. Took her back to school. Again, got another phone call informing me my daughter still had head lice. I was starting to get extremely frustrated at this point. When I picked her up and brought her home, I didn't notice anything. Keep in mind that my daughter hadn't even been itching her head since the first time I brought her back to school. So I did another treatment in my daughter's hair and kept her home AGAIN for the next few days. Finally, when I brought her back (the third time around) I didn't get a call from the school. Instead I got a call about 3 days later saying my daughter still had head lice. By this time I had it. First off, I believe there was a child there or multiple children with head lice and the teachers weren't checking thoroughly. Second off, I truthfully just felt that the teachers and staff believed it was my daughter causing and spreading it when that was not the case. It made both my child and I feel singled out and although they were looking out for "other children", I still felt very uncomfortable about letting my child be there another second. I did not want my daughter to go through this ever again and I was going to do my best to make sure it wouldn't happen. I gave a letter to Ms. Maria informing her and the staff my reasoning for pulling my daughter out of their daycare. I also sent a letter to the director of Li'l Angels and not once did I hear any word back from either of them. I put my daughter in another school within the next two weeks and have not experienced an issue like this since. My daughter has attended her new school for over a year now and I am so thankful I don't have to deal with anymore issues like this one. read more

My daughter still talks about her time at Li'l Angels, all the staff is great and helpful. Mrs. Daisy the director is on top of things and awesome. My 3 year old son has been going to Lil Angels for 6 months now. He loves all activities, playing out doors, singing and all activities. This is a great facility with great hours for working parents since you can drop of as early as 6:30am and pick up at 6:30pm. All staff is very caring and responsible. Staff has assisted in my son's needs and have helped with the potty training. They provide snacks and meals. As a spanish speaking family I'm glad to have found a child care facility with bilingual staff where my son has felt welcomed, save and cared for. Thank you all Lil Angel staff :) read more

I dont know how i ever trusted these people with my child. These people should not be in business, they forced my daughter to nap or they would yell and cuss at her. They forced her to eat when she didn't want to. My baby was only 3 and she would cry and cry when i would drop her off because the people working here mistreated her. Its cheap and thats why i brought her here but i wish i hadn't its not worth the trauma on your child. read more

I'm so happy with the quality of teaching and care that this school provides. My son has been attending a little over 1yr now and every time I take him to school he's greeted by all the teachers as he walks in with smiles, you can really tell they care for all of the kids as if they're their own. They have a schedule that they follow with the kids and that changes everyday, that includes art, science, reading time, singing time, most of the smaller kids can even read their names. On top of that all of the teachers are bilingual which is great! My son used to go to a Montessori school on Doolittle and would cry every single day he went, here he's so happy to stay and has learned so much. So far the teacher from pre k 1 and pre k 2 as well as maria are amazing! read more

My daughter attended this daycare center for 1 1/2 months and it was a COMPLETE MISTAKE other than the morning (hispanic older lady) infant teacher this place is a joke. My daughters milk and diapers was stolen, my daughters first WEEK a little baby girl was tipped out of the highchair onto the hard outdoor carpet floor by another child that should have been next door because he was older and very STRONG. As I stated her milk was stolen so instead of calling me to bring more they let my infant go ALL DAY WITHOUT MILK!!!! I was so devastated and pulled her out immediately. Maria/Michelle tried to charge me twice for a already paid month thank God i had my receipt. My son has been attending Lil Angels for about 2 years. We enjoy this day care center because the teachers are nice to the children, they have great hours for working families (6:30a-6:30p!), and their prices are reasonable as far as day care costs go. This Reveiw is long overdue....... Mrs. Maria and her Li'l Angels Child Care (LACC) Staff are amazing! Our son, Valentino, has been with Li'l Angels since he was old enough to attend and is currently a 'wobbly' (1-2 yr. olds). The LACC staff are not only very attentive to Valentino, they are also very loving and nurturing. As first time parents, Maria and her staff were instrumental in making us good parents by creating good habits. They encouraged us to use the same methods that are being implemented at school in the home, giving Valentino consistency, which helped him learn and adapt faster both in school and home. They've also taken the time to teach us the do's and don'ts of parenting, offering recommendations and answering our many questions. The staff is also open to any of your own routines and recommendations and are more than happy to implement them at school. For example, having the staff speak to our son only in Spanish. One of the things that makes this school special is the bilingual teachers (Spanish) and the diversity in students. You have Asian, Hispanics, Caucasians , African american and everything between. LACC have frequent special activities/events throughout the year for kids that are inclusive of all groups and cultures, including all the fun holidays. I've seen projects on black history month, the presidents, environmental/earth day, independence day, Mothers and Fathers day, Easter, Christmas, 5 de Mayo and Halloween, to name a few. LACC is so much about the kids that they recently upgraded the kids playground set and expanded the wobbly play area. I really love the new play area and space. In addition to the new play area, LACC has also upgraded the level of transparency and inclusion on your child's day to day activities. LACC implemented an app (Tadpoles) that provides pictures and logs of your child's daily activity, including diaper changes. Valentino spends a big part of his day at LACC and it's a very convenient way to stay updated on your child's day to day, as well as receiving school updates/news. Each day we drop-off and pick-up Valentino, we are reassured we made the best decision for him. Valentino is always excited to go school, knowing he has a full day of outside time, classroom activities, and his favorite, song and dance time. He loves LACC and everyone that comes to LACC so much that he has a routine of greeting every person in the parking lot, parents coming and going from the classrooms and every student and teacher with a 'Hi!' and blows them a kiss, all before going to his class. Valentino is almost 2, and is one of the most confident, social, loving and outgoing kids, thanks to the LACC staff. I really feel that LACC is continually teaching and preparing Valentino in his young life. Lastly, the hours at this facility, 6:30AM - 6:30PM are some of the best we've found. This give us alot of flexibility on the times we are able to drop off and pick up our son. It really does take a village to raise a child, and i'm glad that LACC is a part of it! This review is long overdue. My son attended Li'l Angels in San Leandro when he was about 3 1/2 years old till he graduated and moved on to Kindergarten. He was immediately embraced by Miss Joyce Williams the director. She is an amazing person and treated him like he was her own. My son learned so much like how to count in Spanish, write his full name, tie his shoes and much more. I am so grateful to Miss Joyce and Miss Mabel for taking such good care of him. As the mom of a fairly shy and reserved child, I think that the school has been very helpful in helping her assimilate into the environment. The teacher's in her toddler room are, in a word, phenomenal! I am constantly reassured each time at drop-off and at pick-up that I made the right decision to enroll my child. Both teachers in the toddler room are beyond patient and competent. I feel very much included in the day-to-day processes that transpires at the school. It's certainly reassuring when all the teacher's including the ones with whom I have no real interactions with know my child and call her by name. It's speaks volumes when I see my seemingly tepid child running up to various teachers to give them a hug, and is often smiling at the end of the day. read more

My daughter is currently going to this school because we recently moved to San Leandro and we really miss her old preschool "Nomura Preschool" in Richmond. She has been her less than a month and she has been bitten by another child while sleeping, has gotten sick, and has wore her shoes backwards several times without any teachers noticing. On top of that, while my daughter enters the school crying, none of the teachers paid attention to her and just kept singing their songs. And my daughter is pretty smart and if the school habitually does something like wash hands etc....my daughter will at least know where they wash hands at. When I asked my daughter where they wash their hands, she did not even know or doesnt even know where they drink water. This puzzles me because how much attention do they give to the children? I highly do not recommend this school, been here less than a month and there has been too many incidents. read more
