They have a couple of kid areas with all the bells and whistles and even have a small lazy river for relaxing on a tube. It is not the largest pool in the area but with so many things to do the place never feels too crowded even on a holiday like July 4th. They have a small "cafe" with standard options and clearly state that no "carry ins" are allowed but we saw a number of people with their own food there and not once did I see anyone get hassled about. Be smart though and don't flaunt it. Prices are great, for all they have. Only $4.00 per adult and $3.00 per kid. This is so worth it and even though we have a couple of good pools in Fond du Lac, we find it well worth the 20-25 minute drive.

The lazy river is surprisingly large and a good place to take a few relaxing laps. They have a splash pad with a big structure to play on for the younger visitors. I came here with my girlfriend and her toddler. He loved that structure. It never felt too crowded even though there was a good number of people. Its a reasonable price to get in as well. It's $4 for adults, $3 for ages 3-17 and 60 and above. Free 2 and under. All those prices are decreased by a dollar if you come in after 5PM. They have a snack bar for reasonably priced drinks, snacks, and concession stand meals. Summer passes really are only worth it if you will go at least 15 times in the summer. It also is probably worth it if you have a family of 4 as they have a family package. Definitely, check this place out if you need a cool place to keep cool this Summer.

Went in for a cerakote job on a custom rifle that I fully disassembled. Was quoted 4-6 weeks…read morebecause cerakote man was busy or waiting bail or whatever ... after 5 months of checking in on how the far along the job was and receiving some other excuse of how some unfortunate circumstance unfolded, I gave up and said I'd pick my disassembled rifle up and have someone else do it. Mind you it's been media blasted and the steel has been in the raw for 5 months now. Magically it was done the following day. Not only did they cerakote my custom barreled action and various components, they cerakoted about 4" of my bore from muzzle end and much of the chamber as possible and stripped my $300 scope rings. I did receive a bunch of stickers though for what that's worth.

Oshkosh has become synonymous with the largest aviation gathering in the world. You fly in, camp…read moreand enjoy the multitude of exhibits spread out over a huge campground. The event is a week long, but you can come for a day or a weekend (I came for a weekend). Airshows are on display every day and even twice a day. There is a night airshow on Saturday with a phenomenal fireworks display and everything from military airplanes to homebuilts. NASA had a great exhibit this year as well and had an engaging area that my wife and I really enjoyed visiting. The logistics were good and there were even showers for campers. The only thing was the food was still pretty crappy so if you're not bringing your own food - there are only one or two decent options (the smoked chicken wings were pretty good!), but otherwise be prepared to survive on overpriced and not so great meals. Even if you're not a pilot, AirVenture is a blast to come and see.

I have to admit my wife is one of the best instructors a student could ever hope to have. Many of the students here have poor academic skills. Many of them dropped out due to family problems. Some are new in the country and need English language skills. There are also classes to help them with citizenship. A GED might not be a big deal to a lot of people; but for the students here it can mean a drastic change in their lives and their job opportunities. This term 34 people got their GED's here. That's 34 people whose lives are better today than they were last year. If your educational path was interupted, or you're new to the country. If you need any academic tutoring, it would behoove you to walk in the door here and see how these folks can help you succeed

When I took classes, the place very active. There was a cafeteria, a student lounge, all the classrooms were full of students. The hallways were busy, and place was fully staffed. I played forward on the basketball team. Now days, I go here to just to remember good times there. The cafeteria has been replaced by vending machines and the lounge is lonely. Bottom line is that this is a beautiful campus that overlooks Lake Michigan and is near a wildflower area, the beach and a nice park. I led some fun field trips with my biology students around the multiple ecosystems that were available. There is a really nice theater there. Great for plays and other presentations. We didn't have online classes in the 60's, we attended in person. Now days a lot of classes are online. Just not the same experience.

Now part of the University of Wisconsin Green Bay, this is a great local campus for starting your…read morecollege education. As recent analyses have shown, the name (prestige) of the university you graduate from has much less to do with your career success then does the quality of education you receive. My personal experience indicates that this campus offers a quality education. One of the hardest (and one of the better) courses I ever took (microeconomics) was at this campus (it was also the only course I took here) as part of my MBA program at Oshkosh - and I am a graduate of the University of Michigan (which everyone knows is way better than the University of Wisconsin - Madison). So you can waste money at a supposedly more prestigious university or save a big chunk of change and transfer to that same (prestigious)university for the final two years. Your diploma will look the same.
