There are numerous areas that look substandard, but the part that is most problematic is the area in which stones have completely fallen off. This is a zero-traffic area of my porch, so there is no reason stones should be falling off. Upon reaching out to inquire about the warranty, as it has only been 2 years since the work was performed, and sharing several photos of the fallen stones, I was informed that they only warranty their work for 1 year. Well, thousands of dollars and only 2 years later, I did not expect for stones to independently fall off my house. Now, I have to pay another masonry company to fix Millikan's error. Such has led to water damage resulting in staining to the face of the brick near the bilateral upper section of the anterior windows along with evidence of cracks within the mortar joints and edges of the brick. As a result, we have experienced rain shed within our formal dining room and along with plywood of the garage interior. Accordingly, to avoid further deterioration of our home, we opted to pay an outside masonry business for the minimal necessary repairs upfront with a hope of reimbursement considering a lack of adequate follow up. Minimal repairs and corrections were performed due to an associated increase in cost. Our request was denied on behalf of Fithian Brothers Masonry; stating follow up did not exist despite calling the number listed on Google several times over the years. To include, we also have been in contact with our general contractor via email and telephone in attempt for means of correction on behalf of Fithian Brothers Masonry. Upon attempt to seek legal action, we were advised that it would simply be our word against theirs despite evidence (i.e. photos, emails and phone records). Meanwhile, we are left with a faulty life long investment.

The finished work was fantastic, and timely! Joe, Taylor, and Mike were professional, very kind, willing to answer questions (and be a part of the discussion for the larger project) and they always leave the place clean and in great shape when they are done. The grout work they did was terribly messy with no attention to detail, they matched the color horribly, suggested we seal the tile ourselves and then they had to pay A DIFFERENT contractor to fix their work. Communication was non existent. We always had to be the ones to call them to ask when they were coming, to come look at the work needing repairs, to beg for our money back or get it fixed. Their managers say, "we won't be happy unless we get a 5 star review. That's how good we are." If I could give them -5, I would. Oof! It still makes me angry when I think about Force Masonry.

I called Smalling and they arranged a visit the next week and Caleb, a Lead Consultant visited looked at the photo from inspecting report and agreed it needed to be fixed. I appreciated the prompt service, the quick acknowledgment of the problem and the acceptance of responsibility for the needed adjustment. I would recommend this company.
