They were able to recommend several exceptional contractors that they'd worked with, which helped us get off to a timely start on the remodel. The public areas of the house were taken down to the studs. Libby designed some much needed storage, as well as a spectacular kitchen and main bath. Greg added additional character to the front of the house with the addition of a covered porch and addition to the garage to accommodate a workshop.

We chose him over the other candidates because he had experience with multi-unit residences, his style meshed with ours and we felt as though we'd be able to work with him over the long haul. The city building officials had also worked with him in the past which was a bonus. He's worked with us when revisions were needed and so far we're all still speaking after the year and a half it took to get the completed plans. He's a busy guy so the plans took much longer than we initially expected but we're pleased with the plans we received. There were some big surprises along the way -probably due to our inexperience with this process. When you don't know -that you don't know-you don't ask the right questions. And that's where my only feedback would be: there's no such thing as too much communication. I'm confident Erik will continue to work with us & the city throughout our building project.

Lisa and her designer created something that matched the rough thoughts we had, but went several steps beyond, making it better than what I had imagined in several ways. We started with some tired, neglected landscaping containing a lot of (sick) grass, and some drainage issues, and from that they created a mini nature park in our backyard, including a river-rock-filled dry creek bed, a packed gravel walkway around it, built-in drip irrigation, lighting, as well as a plan for trees and shrubs that will invite birds, bees, butterfiles, etc. This plan was executed by a company she frequently partners with - Oregon Outdoor Living - and they were great to work with as well. The workers are highly skilled and diligent. We're looking forward to see how it grows out! Communication has been excellent all of the way through.
