First, let me say that I love that this is a minority owned company! Next, I hired Octomaids to provide a move out cleaning as my family and I were relocating and simply didn't have time to do the work ourselves. After scheduling an appointment online, two women showed up, completed a walk through of the property with the owner (Norma) via Zoom, and provided an estimate for the service. I consented to the service and the cleaning began. I came back several hours later and was amazed at the terrific work that was done. I was so impressed that I asked the owner (Norma) if she'd be willing to provide an estimate for potential future work on our new property. She graciously agreed, provided me with a Zoom link, and we did a quick walk through of the new property. Again, an estimate was provided and I've tentatively agreed to give them a call in future. Once the work was completed on the old property, the cleaners bagged up and brought all trash down to the garbage cans in the garage! Does not adhere to initial scheduled meeting. Has zero respect for your time and has no understanding of the importance of making a great impression to even gather new customers. When they did not stick to scheduled initial meeting of "somewhere from 1:00 pm to 1:30 pm" i texted them at 1:38 pm to say lose my number, not interested.They could not be bothered to call and say running late or try to keep our scheduled time. After I texted them, they called me. My business deal is off the table at that point. if you can't keep your initial meeting that was scheduled and agreed-upon and you have no courtesy to reach out to me to say anything at all. There is no way I would even conceive the idea that you understand how to respect another person's time and I can't imagine ever agreeing to allow you the opportunity to abuse my time ever again I have no idea if they even can do a great job or not at cleaning. I know that they don't respect people and how can they respect your home? How can they respect your belongings when they don't respect you or your time. read more

Cleaners were amazing, truly excellent work. But the office staff were rude, unhelpful and even hostile when asked questions about pricing. I understand that I was being difficult and perhaps shouldn't have been asking questions or trying to understand their prices but the way they handled a difficult customer was truly awful. I had them recently clean my duplex cleared of any furniture... They did a pretty good job - definitely overpriced though quoted at 285 and charged 350. Plus an additional $ 110 to clean five windows that turned ok ( glass) ... In the end I still had to go back and clean a couple of the doors and a couple walls that they missed.. and reclean the bathroom floor And metal in shower( faucet, drain,handle and shower head... inside the windows looked good ( glass) but they never took the screen out to clean... if your looking for a quality clean I'd look elsewhere... or don't have them come out on a Saturday read more

The cleaning was great! The reason I am giving it 2 stars is because of the price! Dang! They charged me almost $400 to clean my house. I should have turned them away but they were already unpacked and here. My bad! I have a 3300 sq ft house that is normally cleaned by another person and not dirty. Just needed surface work. I hired this company a couple of years ago and they charged me way less. Don't know what happened but I have been recommending them to many people looking for a house cleaner and I feel horrible now! Price gouging for sure. I will not use them again or recommend their services. The people who cleaned my house did a great job so this is not a reflection on them. read more

This company did a fantastic job for my family on a move into a new home. They worked miracles on an oven and some tubs that probably hadn't been properly cleaned in an ungodly amount of time. I truly didn't see just how badly the house needed professional cleaning until I saw the result and was blown away with what they achieved. I've been using Octomaids since December 2017 and as far as I'm concerned, I'll stay with them forever! They are always prompt, courteous, and follow special requests that I leave from time to time. I have a very loving (and heavily shedding) 72lb dog that they have no problem with - and they are super great at removing his fur from the various collection points. Don't waste your time trying to contact or if you do hire this company be prepared to babysit. I was able to book them at the last minute and that should have been the red flag I needed. Moving into a new home, completely empty would be an easy job for a professional company. The poor ladies who showed up didn't even have a ladder, just a step stool which maybe let them reach 6-7 feet high. I didn't have a ladder for thin since I hadn't moved in yet. So, my ceilings still had cob webs and all of the window frames were still full of dust along with the top shelves of my cupboards. I had new kitchen appliances arriving the next day so, I asked both the scheduler and cleaners to clean behind the appliances; they agreed to this and never moved them. Perhaps the worst part is that the cleaners both left for an hour, returned to "finish" the job. Not only was I charged for the hour that they were not working, I was charged for additional time after they had left my property. My credit card was charged before they left my driveway. I inquired with Steven Duquette and after about 3 weeks of asking I was finally able to get an invoice to confirm this. He offered to send people back out but, had lost my faith by this time. To remedy the extra charges he offered a refund of $45... no tax. After paying over $900 at $100/ hour and being charged for HOURS NOT WORKED. Obviously, this company needs business and income they can get but, they don't offer ANY VALUE. Very disappointed and taken advantage of. They did offer to come back and "make it right" but, I will never allow them into my home. Screw me once, shame on you; screw me twice, shame on me. read more

I'm a landlord who recently had a crappy tenant skip out on rent and left the unit in terrible condition. I can't begin to tell you how disgusting this unit was and how horrible it smelled. when I hired Octomaids, I made it clear that we would be doing weekly cleaning and that I needed the same day and time - 9:00 AM. No problem. Date and time was okay. I gave this verbally, following up with an email. Then I got a confirmation email staying an arrival time of 9-11. I sent a email confirming the 9:00 AM and was told " around 9 am" It is now 10:11 and they just arrived. Not only that I called the office at 9:40 and was told he would call me and never did. This is false. I met with you in person. Spoke to you and your husband Steve on the phone and texted more than a dozen times. Our house was vacant with ZERO furniture. Carpets were cleaned two weeks after you guys were there. Regarding the pet hair....unfortunately out 13 year old golden retriever passed away before she got to step foot in our new home. I got an email confirming the appointment, and the morning of the appointment, a text message saying Norma was on the way. Following the walkthrough, I got an email copy of the quote and a confirmation of the cleaning appointment. The morning of cleaning day, I got a text message saying the team was en route. And after an extensive day of cleaning, another text when the team was done. And the work was fabulous. I couldn't be happier with the work they did. My landlord was highly impressed with everything and especially happy with how clean the window and slider tracks were. Had a terrible experience with this cleaning service. Paid the have a top to bottom deep house cleaning and they didn't even refold all clothes in closet. Did not color code clothes as asked. Did not do all baseboards per our agreement. Paid an extra $300 for blinds and windows and NOT all blinds were even done. Floors in bathroom not swept. Had them come back to finish all things missed and yet nothing was completed! Horrible experience and will never go to them again! read more
