The owner came out, inspected, explained in detail what we needed and gave us a quote. He also offered that Xcel was offering a rebate for some of the work we needed down and they would file all the paperwork for it. He was on time, personable and professional and the bid was reasonable and fair. We had the work done and the crew that did the work was on time, efficient, did an excellent clean up after the work was done. They did file the rebate and we received it in the time Xcel said it would take to receive it. It's rare these days to find a business that is honest, timely and fair with respectful crews but Houle Insulation was all of that and more. I would HIGHLY recommend them and in all honesty I am a hard to please customer because I won't "settle" for less than I expect. These guys are good. Because they are good they are busy so just know it may take a little longer to get scheduled but the wait is worth it! We have noticed a huge difference this winter. Heating bills are down and the house feels warmer.

Layne came to our home and did an excellent job explaining the different rebate options, financing plans, and the entire insulation process. He made everything easy to understand and stress-free. Alexis and Tarik handled the actual work. They removed all of our old attic insulation, sealed any openings, and installed new insulation that helps repel mice and bugs. The next day, they returned to insulate the walls. They arrived on time, were respectful of our home and furnishings, and left everything clean when they were done. I had to hire another (Cocoon) company to totally remove MNInsul+ 's loosefill and redo the attic spray. The Consultant I hired initially to find out why I had water damage said; MNInsul+ would be a great example for other contractors as to how NOT to do an attic insulation! They missed rafter joints, edges, backs of can lights etc. And when presented with the infrared photo evidence tried to BS his way out of it. Tired of the abuse- I just moved on with the other company and haven't been happier with the result.

Suspected the sudden…read morelow pressure was the result of a recirculating pump I've had for years and then looked at a leaking boiler suggesting a it needs to refill the glycol and replace parts at a high quote of $1200 for the boiler and another $350+ to install a recirculating pump if I bought it. Their diagnosis was wrong. The actual cost for the repair to fix the water pressure was $0 as the cause was calcification I fixed and the boiler only needed a replacement valve as the system is set up to replenish the water supply.
