This is just the nicest place…read more I can't remember where or how we found The Parenting Center, but my wife and I receive e-mails once a month inviting us to "Date Nights." I'm glad we do. People are busy, you know? It can be hard to put everything aside and focus on your relationship and commitment to one another... thankfully, that's where The Parenting Center steps in! A typical Marriage Enrichment Group is made up of newlyweds and couples who've been together twenty, thirty, forty years or more. It's a very positive environment, and the couple hosting the Date Nights explore a topic through individual, couple and group activities. It's incredibly inspiring seeing other people work towards bettering their marriages, and we haven't once regretted taking the time to come out and really kind of look at ourselves and where we're going and where we want to be. I keep recommending The Parenting Center to family and friends. For the price (all of free!) it's just a jaw-droppingly astounding service. Give it a shot!

I would give St. Cecilia's 5 stars if it weren't for the acoustic problem within the new decor. I…read morehadn't been since they rebuilt it after that tragic fire some year ago. The interior is mostly white with high ceilings and and pretty tile floors. The accents are very ornate but not over-the-top gaudy. The pews are dark-colored wood and they are long and roomy. I love the cushioned kneelers because the elderly and those of us who played too much sports can kneel without pain! The acoustic problem can be corrected with adding carpet down the aisles to absorb some of the sound. St. Rita's had the same issue but I think they finally figured it out. I'll check in there once Sunday and see and I'll let you know. THe majority of the Masses cater to the Hispanic population but that doesn't matter because it's all the same to me! If you haven't visited this beautiful parish I suggest you do. There are a lot of nice restaurants in the area as well so make a day of it and enjoy! I will post pictures next week.

Went to see *Sleeping Beauty* performed by the Fort Worth Symphony Orchestra in collaboration with…read moreTCU, and I wasn't quite sure what to expect going in. It turned out to be a really enjoyable experience. The orchestra sounded great, and it looked like TCU students acted out parts of the story alongside the music, which added a nice visual element. The show was about an hour long, making it perfect for kids--it kept my daughter engaged the whole time. Overall, it had a great atmosphere and was a fun, family-friendly event. I'd definitely consider going to something like this again.
