I remember reading as a child about the battles of Lexington and Concord. It was then special to be able to walk on the ground where the battle of Lexington took place, where a group of determined colonists rose up to defend their rights and fired the first shots that would eventually lead to the birth of a new nation. The battle, albeit small, resulted in the deaths of 8 militiamen and 1 British regular. Eventually leading up to the much larger Battle of Concord and then war between the colonies and the British Empire. It was also humbling to find the burial place of those who fought in the militia on the green. After paying my respect, I was excited to continue on with my family of the Lexington and Concord area.

I absolutely love it here, it was awesome learning about the revolution again. I've forgotten about most of the things I've learned in history books. Sat at this little park for hours some days, just enjoying the scenery and peacefulness.

Picturesque New England town green where the first skirmish with the the British Regulars occurred around 8 o'clock on the morning of April 19, 1775. The British were on their way to Concord to interdict weapons and supplies purportedly stored there; however, the colonials had advanced knowledge of the plan and had removed all of the munitions and stores to surrounding farms and towns. The colonials were hopelessly outnumbered and in retreat that morning losing eight men but the American Revolutionary fuse had been lit which would explode later that day. The British would then marched toward Concord in order to secure the Old North Bridge, it is there the colonials would fire on the British for the very first time thereby igniting Revolutionary War.

Being a nerd for all things history, and basically just a nerd in general, I felt compelled to stop in on a recent business trip to Boston to see the grounds of the "shot heard around the world." To be honest, there is not really much to see here, as the location itself is the main source of interest for visitors. There are three large areas which contain structures and/or placards with inscriptions denoting their historical significance. The principle statue, featuring a colonial with his musket, is the most recognizable. it rates right up there with the Iwo Jima picture and the Statue of Liberty as an one of the more iconic symbols of the US. The reminder of the grounds is essentially a large park where various people were picnicking or playing. I am not sure if this is an ongoing feature, but we also came across a gentleman dressed up in colonial replica attire who was giving guided tours of the grounds and the history behind them. The guy is quite knowledgable, and the tour was enlightening. This would especially be helpful to younger people, or to those who do not have much background knowledge of the history. On the day of my visit a HUGE bus that looked like the type used for tours of a major bands showed up. It was packed to capacity with Japanese tourists who went into a picture taking frenzy like it was a photoshoot for Maxim. They stormed the place like it was Normandy. I ended up being pulled aside to take some group photos. A tad annoying, but not a big deal. Definitely worth a stop in.

There is not much to do here but a take a guided walking tour. The story of the how the AmericanRevolution began at this very spot is really interesting. 1 hour is enough time here.

A common with much history - the start of the American Revolution and the "shot heard around the world." A statue of Captain Parker who ran the Lexington Company. A flag that is flown 24/7 by an act of Congress. A monument to commemorate the Revolution. A landmark that is registered as National Historic Landmark. A site of the first 3 meeting house of Lexington sites behind the statue of Captain Parker. What a list for a visitor! For locals, I see them sunbathing, playing frisbee, etc.. you know, the normal things you do on a green!

I was lucky enough to stumble onto the Lexington Battle Green during the rehearsals for the big battle! Imagine my surprise as soldiers and countrymen in authentic dress wandered around me as if we had traveled back in time. It was certainly a treat for anyone who enjoys history and photography as much as I do!

Nice historic place to see. See the statue of Captain Parker, a memorial for those who served on the USS Lexington, and the town's parish.

It is about 20 to 30 miles northwest of Boston, the drive is scenic especially when you start driving through all of the little towns leading to Lexington and Concord. The main attraction for our visit was to visit the north bridge memorial site where the first shots of the war began at 5am on Apr 19,1775 dubbed the "shot heard around the world" There is also a marker for the two British soldiers killed here. The site is spread out and will require some hiking if you would like to see the entire trail. I believe it was 5 to 7 miles on foot to see everything. The visit was amazing and awe inspiring! I highly recommend any history buff to visit.

The gift shop has decent items. Grab a map, then on a nice day it's a great walk / stepping down the same road history took the English and Americans to face each other. Some of the sites are walkable and some are a little further, but there are parking areas along the way. The tavern wasn't open when I went, but there are tour options throughout the summer. We ended out outing at North Bridge, which is another great site. On a nice weather day, you could easily spend a few hours here. It's a unique site in our nation's history, and it's a lot of fun and good times outdoors.

What I truly appreciate about the studio is that they are BYOB so it offers more flexibility if you are going with people to coordinate bringing snacks and drinks. They ave all the supplies such as glassware (wine glasses, corkscrew), plates and napkins. My first event here was for a "Paint Your Pet". That is considered one of the special events since there are specific instructions to submit by at least ~2 weeks in advance the reference photo so they can screen print it onto the canvas so it is more of a "paint by numbers" than following the instructor since it would be challenging to paint each unique pet. They offered great guidance of how to start. Understandably depending on the fur or pet detail it may take longer. I loved how mine turned out and proudly display it at home. They also offer a reward/loyalty system and somehow I have completed enough paintings at this point to level up to "Collector" so I'm excited to redeem a free painting session. After each event they send out a review survey so if you fill it out you receive a 10% off discount code for the next booking. I also got a birthday gift code of 20% off that I used for the most recent "Autumn Porch Leaner" class. Since I've also completed so many standard canvas paintings at this point I've also branched out now into the unique long/tall paintings for a different experience. I haven't had a bad experience so far and love going to Pinot's Palette Lexington location for fun with friends and family!

The layout is thoughtfully arranged, and the focus is clearly on quality and presentation, making it easy to spend time browsing rather than rushing through a standard grocery run. The fresh produce is the main reason we would visit. The selection changes with the seasons, and there is always something that stands out, whether it is fruit, vegetables, or specialty items. The produce section is one of the biggest highlights, with everything arranged beautifully and a wide variety that makes shopping here feel more intentional. The bakery section is another area worth checking out, especially for breads and pastries. Items like the olive sourdough bread and seasonal baked goods are the type of things that make Wilson Farm feel more like a destination rather than just a place to buy groceries. Beyond produce, the variety is what makes the experience memorable. There are sections for meats, seafood, prepared foods, desserts, flowers, and pantry items, so it is easy to put together a full shopping trip without needing to go elsewhere. The seasonal events are also a big part of the atmosphere, especially in the fall when the pumpkin displays and decorations transform the outside of the farm into something that feels like an autumn destination. The staff were friendly and helpful during our visit, which adds to the overall experience, and the store can get busy during peak seasons, especially around fall events and weekends, so parking and navigating through the crowds may take extra patience. Prices are generally higher than a standard grocery store, but the quality and selection are what make the visit worthwhile. Wilson Farm is one of those places where grocery shopping becomes an experience. The combination of fresh food, bakery items, seasonal atmosphere, and the farm setting makes it stand out. It is a place we would visit not only for groceries but also when we want to explore and pick up something special.
