Not impressed at all with this practice. Doctors don't seem to care what you are going through. With having 5 back surgeries and 3 failed due to bones being like mush and need another surgery ASAP . Labs have been done and then not letting me know results until months later, when time is important, to find what the issues is and a treatment for another surgery. I feel like death, wondering If I am have an adrenal crisis is of no concern for the doctor but I don't have the energy to even take a shower, something is wrong and ita time for answers but I don't think I will get them from this office. I received a referral, called to make a appt 2 weeks ago, left several messages, no response. After a few failed attempts to get a call back, called the pt advocate dept at the main hospital, explained what was going on, she called the endo office for me. All of a sudden I received a call back from a rude receptionist, "Asking me what I wanted" her exact words. I paused before responding, asked are there any appts available, she then told me "Oh we made you appt for Oct 2023". Wow, I didn't know a doctors office could make a patient appt without notifying them. She was beyond unprofessional. I've noticed in the last few yrs that we are accepting of anything at a work facility, I'm assuming this is as good as it gets for employees. The level of unprofessionalism with this office, this is what healthcare has come to. Disgraceful to say the least. I could go on and on with other incidents in this area, but this isn't the place nor do I have the time. Going forward, all my referrals will be in Georgia or North Carolina from now on. I have tried for over 2 years (on and off) to get an appointment. They will not answer the phone and won't call back.

I really like my doctor, however, the doctors nurse is typically who I have to communicate with. This nurse recently discouraged a visit and told me to contact my general practitioner. She is not helping your business. Two stars for my awesome endocrinologist minus three stars for the discouraging nurse. Good luck! read more

I have been seeing Dr. Ferraro for several years for my thyroid issue. I haven't really had any major concerns with him except that he doesn't spend much time with me during my visits and felt like my concerns were dismissed as I was ushered out as quickly as I had come in. It took me about a month to get an available appointment with him. Had to come the week before to get labs done and requested a few more test be ran to explore some issues I was having. The lab tech is ALWAYS wonderful every time I come, but I had some questions she couldn't answer so she went to ask Ferraro's nurse. When I still had questions the lab tech couldn't answer, she then went back to his nurse, who finally came out but was very rude about what I was requesting. I had hoped that the nurse would have been more supportive and helpful in saying let me follow up with Dr. Ferraro or even have him call you to discuss. I walked out to my car but turned around to request something else I had forgotten to and had to leave a note because everyone had already gone to lunch. One of the tests I had requested was done but not done in the same way it had been done another time prior, so I was disappointed that I was tested in a way that might not give accurate results. Emailed Dr. Ferraro prior to my visit to list things I wanted to discuss during my visit so he hopefully could help develop a plan for my treatment or have some suggestions to address those concerns and symptoms I was having. He was defensive from the very start of my visit. I expressed my concern that one of the tests was not done the way it had been done before, but he quickly dismissed that starting that it was done at my request, so basically put the blame on me for requesting the test but not blaming his office for not testing me accurately. I had been doing some extensive reading and research on my condition, so I felt like I was at least educating myself as a patient and brought up some questions and suggestions. He raised he voice at me when talking and basically said that he was the specialist and felt that his decisions about my treatment were sufficient because my lab results were in the "normal" range. He acted offended that I wanted to have some input into my own treatment or that I wanted to explore some different treatment options to try and get to a more optimal level and not just a "normal" level. He wasn't very sympathetic to my frustrations with symptoms I was having, nor was he willing to explore or develop a different plan of treatment to see what might help alleviate my symptoms and basically said he could not help me. On a prior visit, I had come in with some treatment questions based on some reading and he basically scoffed at the fact that I had done some research on my own and questioned his recommended treatments or that I wanted to explore other options. At this point it should have been a red flag for me then to find another endocrinologist. Told him today before leaving that I was disappointed in the way he was speaking to me and said that he had reacted exactly the way I figured he would react and treat me because he had been dismissing concerns I was having that were getting worse each time. His reply? "Good" is what he told me! Unbelievable behavior and remarks from a doctor. I walked out today feeling horrible and disappointed that I had put my trust in a doctor that was not treating me as a patient nor acted as if he even cared that I had reached such a point of frustration with my condition. Dr. Ferraro is about the quantity of patients he has, not the quality of care he is providing. I am disappointed that I did not find another endocrinologist sooner. read more

Although they claim that they are taking new patients, I could not get my diabetic daughter in the door. Having recently moved to the area, we were referred by her care provider from out of state. After her referral was faxed and misplaced twice (they do not accept electronic files for referral), we were told that she would be seen, after they checked the schedule. I heard nothing for two weeks, so I called, leaving three messages before they called back to say that they wouldn't accept her after all because her college was too far away. I explained that I had been told that we were just waiting on the schedule, and I was called the following day to say that she HAD been accepted as a patient, and to call to make an appointment. When I called, they refused to schedule her! We went back and forth for two months before I asked if they would refer her to another provider. They refused. So, I had to start from scratch. I read many negative google reviews about them, but they are the only game in town (aside from those not accepting patients). We finally found a provider in Charleston. read more

Staff is very nice, and helpful. Wait time in the lobby to be taken back is very short. Overall nice visit.

AVOID!!!! Absolutely the worst!!! I have been going around and around for OVER 3 MONTHS with this practice. They can't communicate. They don't return calls. They don't know how to schedule what is needed. They are rude. I have had to drive out here from town (25 minutes) EIGHT TIMES!!! And I still haven't received the treatment requested by my surgeons from The Cleveland Clinic last March. It's now August. Lexington Endocrinology is incompetent. DO NOT EVEN CONSIDER a visit. read more
