From the time they picked up my husband, and I walked back into the room. There was a flower laying on his hospice bed, , such a comforting touch.. They listen to what I wanted for his funeral and visitation, and it was all good! I've never heard that's not how we do it, or that's not how it's done. They are amazing from beginning to end very professional. they are certainly a blessing at a time when you need it most! Nate and Mason and Jacob are amazing. Thank you again for everything that you did and continue to do. Mrs Kirk C

We have only positive things to say about Stewart Baxter! We needed their services in March of…read more2024 and primarily worked with Mason. He was absolutely wonderful. He was pro-active with helping us and we never felt as if we were asking too much or were a bother. Along with him, every staff member was helpful, compassionate, and very accommodating to our needs. Every ask we had, was responded to quickly and they were so caring. Their after-care team was very helpful and we had no idea they even offered that service. The building is beautiful and we thought seating for 300 would be enough, but we ended up with some standing. Even with that, all attendees were able to see and hear the service with the TVs and they offered live streaming, which was a need for our family. With over 500 people at the visitation, they handled the traffic and made sure people were safe as they were parking. The owners were both there at different times, making sure everything was going well. If there were any issues, they were transparent to us and we didn't have to worry about anything. We are so thankful for the staff at Stewart Baxter and would highly recommend them to handle your family's needs at possibly the most difficult time in your life. The family of Kyla Klima

And for the viewing there was a line nearly a block long and they accomidated all of them. The next day at the funeral there were plenty of chairs. And they provided a speakers rostrum and micophone. It all came off without a problem. After the funeral they provided lino's for everyone who planed to go to the gave site. Years later when my mother passed away there was no formal funeral. They handled the cremation and put the ashes in an ern and placed it in a grave site next to my fathers. The only complaint i had was that they took a long time to post her date of passing on the grave stone. But overall I give a 5 star recommendation. And a last poiint - the staff was very kind, compansionite and effective.

He sent me a brochure and price list, through email, and helped explain all the different "thumbie jewelry' they manufacture. There are a variety of choices you can pick from like charms, key chains and even rings. With you order you get free engraving of two lines, with a limit of 10 characters (including space) on each line. This is a great gift for someone special that has last someone close to them. To place an order you have to do it over the phone. I don't believe you can directly order online. They take your credit card information, and all other information for engraving purposes and then send you a confirmation email to make sure everything is correct. Once ordered the molding process takes about 4 weeks, before finally being shipped out to you, which takes about another 5 working days.

They tried to get to know who my dad was so they could provide the best care for him. They made an extremely difficult time a little easier. People facing the pain of burying a loved one in the Galesburg area need to be aware of our experience with the Watson Thomas (now known as the Watson) Funeral Home. Yelp only allows 5,000 characters for a review, so we cannot really provide a detailed description of everything that went wrong during the funeral of our beloved family member. But by sharing an overview of our experiences through Yelp, we hope to warn others about this funeral home, & to help others keep an eye out for the kinds of things that went wrong with our family's memorial.
