Then I went to the room and had vitals performed, and shortly after that, Dr. Hackett came in. He's wonderful! He's very friendly and obviously loves to connect with his patients. I felt very well cared for. Everyone was very professional and kind. All my lab results were back in a few hours and I was able to review them myself on my phone. Thank you to all!

Let's be honest, no one wants to have to come here in the first place, and some of the staff and the scheduling has bonded the experience so much worse. Twice now, I have had appointments scheduled only for them not to have it in their system. They have scheduled appointments without my knowledge that did not work in my schedule. Today, I showed up and no appointment in their system and apparently they don't have the infusion I need so someone in the lab just canceled my apt with no phone call. These appointments take around three hours so patients have to rearrange their schedules and lives to be here. Ive also been told multiple times that I would receive a call back only for it to never happen. Their normal doctor appointments seem efficient, I was called quickly and got labs and then into the doctors room relatively quickly. These appointments take lab/treatment side is very frustrating. The level of disorganization and complete lack of communication is disappointing and unacceptable.

In that sense, I wouldn't "recommend" anyone ever have a reason to come here. But if you do find yourself facing that battle, this is absolutely the best place to receive your care. The Community Cancer Institute provides truly exceptional service during life's most difficult moments. Every single department goes above and beyond. The teams in chemotherapy, radiation, oncology, surgical and the labs are consistently friendly, gentle, and deeply caring. They don't just treat the illness; they treat you like a human being with immense compassion. It is a beautiful, comforting facility, and while I wish the circumstances were different, I am incredibly grateful for the world-class care and support they provide.

First, I want to make it clear that Dr. Ge is an excellent oncologist. I appreciate her knowledge, care, and the medical attention she provides. My concerns are not about Dr. Ge or the quality of her medical care. Unfortunately, my experiences with Jen at the front desk have been very different. I have found her communication to be rude, sarcastic, and at times condescending. As a cancer patient, this can be especially difficult. Going to an oncology office is already an emotionally challenging experience, and the last thing a patient should feel is that they are being treated as an inconvenience. I understand that front-office staff deal with many patients and difficult situations every day. However, compassion, patience, and professionalism are extremely important in a cancer-care setting. The way a patient is treated by the staff can have a significant impact on their overall experience. I also believe that the front-office staff represents the practice, and unfortunately, those interactions can affect how patients perceive the entire office--even when the physician providing their care is exceptional. It would be unfortunate for the reputation of an excellent oncologist like Dr. Ge to be negatively affected by the way patients are treated by someone at the front desk. I am sharing this feedback respectfully and sincerely hope it is received as an opportunity for improvement. Cancer patients are already carrying enough fear, uncertainty, and emotional stress. We deserve to be met with kindness, patience, and dignity from everyone we encounter in our cancer-care journey.

Dr Anderson only used the mammogram for a lumpectomy. Telling me they don't do MRIs anymore. THREE TIMES SHE WOULD ATTEMPT TO GET THE MARGIN AND FAIL, AND CALLS IT GOOD AND SENDS ME TO RADIATION. I don't feel right so I go to MD Anderson (Houston, TX) where they do more imaging. They biopsy THE SAME AREA as my other three surgeries. POSITIVE. MDA sends me for an MRI. I end up with a Mastectomy where they find 6 cm more of cancer!! CCARE would have killed me had I just stayed with them. Oncologist, just as incompassionate telling me we're all going to die sometime! Staff laughing at me for being scared and researching the internet. Only researching because no one took the cancer serious! I can't stress enough NOT to go here. Go to Stanford! I get not everyone can go to MDA. Fortunate for me my family lives in Houston. Also, to note, I go in three times for surgery with CCARE and no mention of reconstruction, which other centers would have. I know this now after talking to others about lumpectomy reconstruction.
