One of them is how temps are treated in the workplace. The Pat advice is to go in to the job, to the best of your ability, show up on time leave a little late and take your breaks as you should. However, regrettably, temporary workers are expected to come in and jump right in with a little training and perform in a stellar manner. Staff does not like to put much time into training a temp. And, even hiring in as an office worker, women are paid less than men.I had personal experience of this as a long time our friend was looking for a job at the same time. The same type of job was offered to me at $12 an hour and he would be offered upwards of $16 an hour. However I do not believe that this is a fault of the hiring agency. But, it was a part of my experience. If you are looking for a job, definitely reach out to Robert half the office team. They are a great group of people to work with!

True to my genetics, I read from right to left, starting with obituaries and ending with an increasingly provocative editorial by the publisher, Arthur Horwitz. In between, you can read about who's celebrating marriages, births, circumcisions, 90th birthdays, anniversaries. There is a great weekly food column by Danny Raskin, who is as old as the hills. And you can get a bunch of wire stories from the Jewish Telegraph service. But I, like most people, mostly read it to find out who's doing what in the community. It's a good read, especially when it's free!
