As a concierge patient, she called doctors to squeeze me in for testing, she helped me get an MRI and 3 Phase Bone Study within days, and I had her number so I could text her updates, so we could make moment by moment decisions as we received the results of tests. It turned out I have a rare condition that left other doctors confused; however, Dr. Magnano moved with vision. I felt as if I had just handed off to her all the thinking about what my condition could be, and it was up to her to figure it out instead of me. What a relief! My life and my outlook on my disease have been significantly improved by being a patient at UCSF Rheumatology. Dr. Chaganti is respectful, interested in my input, and methodical in her approach -- and (this is the best part) overtly curious about my disease. I appreciate her dedication to not just finding a label (RA, PA, UC, etc.) so that she can place me on a general medication protocol. Instead, she is flexible and cumulative. I find that I have started paying more attention to my symptoms and tracking them more accurately because I know that she will actually take the data into consideration and discuss it with me when determining our next steps.
