Entire set of brand new tires lasted 6 months they did all the work and allignment somehow it's my fault

I needed my car state inspected and everyone in town were not available for days or weeks but Lias Tires was gracious enough to let me leave my car there and they inspected it as soon as they were available and repaired a few things. So here's the thing. There are not a ton of options in Indiana, PA. Other places we went, a car would get a problem fixed but have a new one introduced. But Lias didn't let us down, and we trusted them and recommended them to others. Until our car was destroyed this past summer due to their mistake. We had an overheating issue the day before we were taking the car into Lias for its regular servicing. The coolant had boiled out, and we had to use water in order to make it home. We brought it into Lias and in addition to the normal service, we asked them to check the cooling system. When they returned it to us, they said they didn't find an issue with the cooling system and they had replaced the coolant. Like I said, we trusted them, so we took our car on a hot day to an out of town wedding. It had just been serviced, after all! Two hours into the drive, the car began overheating, and the coolant was once again boiling out. There WAS a problem, a problem that they missed. The out of town car service we brought it to said it was the water pump. Ultimately, it turned out the car overheating had damaged the engine. The car was done. I loved Lias Tire until this happened. People are human and make mistakes. But this mistake cost us thousands of dollars: about $2000 on repairs for the car that turned out to be dead (don't go to Heilman Auto), and about $4000 more to get a new used car. It also cost time: being stranded out of town, negotiating car repairs, not having a car for months, looking for a new car... So in the end, I can't recommend Lias Tire anymore. read more

Got my tires mounted and balanced here. It cost be about $80 for my 17s. I think that's a fair price. The service was pretty solid...the mechanic even came out and talked to me about my Subaru which is pretty cool. The only thing I can complain about is that they don't have nitrogen and they didn't say how much the mounting would cost before they did it. Edit: I went back here yesterday to take my winter tires off and put on my summer tires. I was only charged $44 this time. They said when they put on new tires they jack up the price because it's harder and takes longer. Double Edit: Went back to put my winter tires back on. Same price as before. The staff have a great attitude towards the customers and the wait time is between 15-30 minutes. It all depends on what you have done. The prices are affordable as well. read more

Avoid this rude and overpriced tire shop. If your a die hard cooper fan. Try Myers tires in Bakerton, Pa. It may be a bit of a drive but you will save 30 to 50 dollars on almost any sets of copper tires. Also you won't have a 2 hour wait and some minimum wage kid installing your tires. At Myers tires you'll get Rick the owner and maybe one of his assistants. Either way you'll be saving time,!money and actually feel as if your business is appreciated. Plus the safety of knowing the owner of the shop to which all responsibility falls will be the one tightening your wheels. read more

I have used Lias since the 80's and my first car. I have seen a lot of women (and men) not mechanically inclined come in over the years while waiting for my car. I am moderately mechanically savvy, I have NEVER seen them tell a customer they need a service or part just to make a few bucks. They have always been upfront with what needs done and what doesn't. I recommend if it's something more than repairing a flat, you call and schedule an appointment. read more

I've had 3 good experiences here. 2 of the times the plugged my tire instead of taking advantage of me and saying I needed a new one. As a young college student I wouldn't have known any better. Fair and reasonably priced. read more
