The local auto supply stores all recommended Aamco on Oakland Avenue, Indiana PA so I gave it a try. I was 100% pleased. They are very helpful, extremely friendly and explain everything so you can understand it. In one instance they even went the extra mile to figure out a car "mystery", we've all had those. Their prices are also very reasonable. All in all, Aamco is absolutely the place to go in Indiana County for car repairs!

A few months later I needed to store the Porsche for the winter months and I went to Import for State Inspection and 5,000 mile Service. I could not have been more pleased with the quality of work and the care they took in servicing my car. In the intervening years, I have purchased both new and used import cars and have taken every one (including several Corvettes) to Import Auto. By the way, Import has also serviced and inspected my various motorcycles. Customer Service has always been top notch. Mike, the owner, Jill, Nate and the other two Mikes (yes, there are three Mikes) have been friendly on every visit so I'm not sure why anyone would have a negative opinion of Import Auto or its staff. ONE tire, I told them this when I got there and when I received a call an hour later I was informed that all four tires either had pads on backwards bad rotors or bad calibers and it would cost $1600 to fix after telling them I didn't have that much they inform me of a cheaper option of only $1100 and I wouldn't get a receipt from the shop cause one of them would work on it on the side. After telling them I wanted to come pick my car up they half ass threw my brakes back together and I lost one of the pads ten minutes after leaving while on the highway. I would rather trust a five year old to diagnose an issue with my car then ever let any of these "mechanics" near my vehicle. PLEASE DONT TRUST THIS SHOP

0/5 Stars DO NOT TAKE Your car to Mark's Auto in Indiana, PA. He held my wifes car hostage for 4…read moremonths for a repair that should have taken 3 weeks at most. You cant call him because his phone rings right to voicemail which is full so you cant leave a message. He only responds to texts if he feels like it. So the only way to contact him is to goto his shop during business hours and it seemed like he was closed more then he was open. Wifes car blew a head gasket in Feb of 25, it was under warranty but Marks Auto was the only place that was allowed to repair it in my area so was forced to take it there. Took him 6 weeks to do that repair. Work was under another 1 year Warranty. 11 months later car broke down again and once again had to take it to Mark. This time it took him 4 months and even though it was under warranty he charged us an extra $500 on top of what he ripped off the warranty company for. He offered no loaner car which meant that we had to figure out a way to get my wife to and from work for 4 months while he took his time with the repair. 0/5 Stars. Do not take your car there.

I have used Mark's Auto in the past and was satisfied with service. I am not happy with the recent…read moreexperiences. In the summer of 2020, I dropped off my Pathfinder for lack of AC. Mark charged me about $270 to diagnose the problem. At that time, he gave me an estimate of $1040 to do the work. I asked about deducting $270 from $1040 to do the work, he replied, "I have to make a living." In short, he would have charged me $270 plus $1040. I decided not to do the work since the summer was about over. I also note here that Mark took out all of my AC coolant. I have never asked him to do this, and according to other mechanics, there is no reason for doing this. Of course, this costs extra. He also stated, "There is no reason to keep the coolant." In March of 2021, I stopped by to express my disappointment in getting such a high charge for diagnosis and not getting any credit for deciding to complete the work. He informed me that he would "give me a break" for doing the AC work. In addition to this work, I asked him to replace the spark plugs and drain and replace the transmission fluid and the front transfer case fluid. Looking at the receipt, Mark charged me $1250 to do the AC work. When asked about the differential between $1250 charge and $1040 estimate AND not getting a break, he told me the increase was due to the change in the parts costs. When comparing the quote and the charge, the parts costs remained unchanged. In short, rather than giving me a break, he actually charged me about $210 more. What's also irritating is that he charged me $59.68 for Cooling System Flush which he had already done. Finally, he charged me $11.98 for air filter which I had not asked. The previous filter was new Nissan filter, and now Mark charged me to replace that with another filter. It seems he would have informed me of a need. I agree with others that Mark is a nice guy. However, the above experience is not what I had anticipated. If you decide to stop by Mark, I suggest: * Get a firm cost for any diagnostic work. * Inform him to inform you if any "additional" work that will be done, for example, replacing an air filter.
